[Colts] We have re-signed TE Mo Alie-Cox.

  1. I assume this is a pretty cheap contract. For a dude that blocks and knows the scheme this is totally whatever

  2. I mean don’t hate it since we don’t currently have a TE1. Team tried to replace him and failed.

  3. Interested to see how much for. There obviously wasn’t a market for him so assumedly the price was right. I do think he remains a decent enough piece for goal line catching situations & his blocking ability is fine but definitely don’t want to see him higher than like, 3rd on the depth chart.

  4. I need to see the amount before I decide, but I was hoping for a complete TE overhaul

  5. Probably an insignificant signing. I expected them to go elsewhere but with only Ogletree, Mallory, and the ghost of Woods in the TE room they had to bring in someone outside of the draft.

  6. Unpopular opinion but MAC is nowhere near as bad as this sub makes him out to be. He’s a good blocker with good size in the redzone. A veteran presence at a position we’ll have young guys at helps too.

  7. He’s a strong veteran presence and will be helpful to guide whichever stud TE we can draft.

  8. To be fair he’s a blocker and knows our scheme and is usually good for one 30 yard catch every other game. Not gonna be our TE1 but a good piece to have and probably for a cheap contract.

  9. He is our most consistent TE and the leader with that position. Even if we get a rookie it makes sense (if it’s a 1 year deal)

The hate he gets on this sub never fully made sense.

  10. Good blocker, knows the scheme, good locker room guy, I have no problems with bringing MAC back. Gotta draft or sign someone to actually catch passes at the TE position, though.

  11. I like this over granson. Draft a dude and let the other 3 young guys battle for the other 2 roster spots

  12. If it’s a friendly contract, he’s not terrible to have around. Just sucks when he’s your best TE

  13. Yay. More of the world’s slowest tight end. I am so excited. What a great day. Definitely no sarcasm here. Woohoo.

  14. i recall making a comment during the first jags game this year that the touchdown he had made ballard cream his pants and secured him a 2 year 13 mil deal… i think that’s what happened

  15. Thank Jesus give us just a little more time to develop the basketball player!

  16. As a longtime VCU fan, it still blows my mind that our longest tenured professional player with a single team isn’t even playing professional basketball.

Mo is our second-longest tenured professional player period, after Gerald Henderson who played in the NBA between 1979 and 1992.

  17. I feel like the last decade of colts football is perfectly summed up by a class MAC drop.
