I mean…

  1. Archie Manning sucked. Peyton was 1st ballot hall of famer and Eli was decent enough for 2 rings.

The Sanders family is almost the polar opposite. Deion is a hall of famer, his sons are overhyped from too much coverage. Shedeur would’ve been the 8th best QB in last year’s draft, and some poor sap team like the Browns or someone dumb enough to trade up are gonna deal with a Lamar Ball circus.

Thats why people are acting different.

  2. I don’t think Deion is hated or slighted in any way. Certainly passionate at times outspoken compared to peers, but I’d say nothing polarizingly bad … he’s putting like 3-4 people in NFL this year. He’s a good dude.

  3. I got no problem with them getting hype in college, views help. But when you’re going into the Draft and the media still talking about you like you’re the next big NFL star despite being incredibly mid, now that’s a problem. If Arch still has this amount of hype after he’s played 4 years of unremarkable football and he is still projected to go top 10 people will begin hating as well. People don’t like others getting praise they don’t deserve, Sanders is not a great QB and people hate because he is treated as such. If he plays well in the NFL all the haters will start seeing his cockiness as confidence, but for now he’s just plain cocky

  4. Hating what the manning did and hating what sanders is doing is probably how a good chunk of people felt (not many like nepotism pushed unapologetically in their faces)

But that goes against the point of op narrative trying to push racism

  5. It’s the Ball family all over again. If they end up doing fuck-all in the league, the hate will flow endlessly

  6. People hated the Mannings for what they did to the chargers, quit playing the victim card

  7. One family is humble and funny, and the other family is loud and conceited it’s simple.

  8. There’s way more nepotism in the NFL than just the Mannings and Sanders, but Deion is getting LaVar Ball levels of overly involved.

  9. I literally just realized Shedeur is deions kid. I have no idea how I never realized that before with the last name

  10. Which of the Mannings lost a 10 million dollar settlement for permanently disabling someone?

  11. Where did Archie make his son’s college team attend his rap concert. 🤷‍♂️

  12. It does seem like we view Archie’s draft manipulation pretty innocently.

Not sure if that’s a time thing or a race thing. But I don’t think we’d be seeing it the same way today if Deion was threatening teams to get his kid in a particular spot.

  13. Last time I checked the Mannings weren’t cocky arrogant assholes. They were good and they knew it and they showed it on the field. I loved Deion when he played but he was cocky as hell back then and is worse now. It reminds me of a kid my brother played hockey with… the kid was decent but was never going to go anywhere in the sport. His parents on the other hand had different thoughts on the matter… they bought out a Junior Hockey team so their son could possibly make it big. While Deion didn’t buy out a team it sure feels the same way as that.

  14. These 2 situations are completely different and it’s laughable that anyone thinks these are comparable outside of being high skill football families

  15. So you are one of those guys that likes when guys act like major assholes because they are good at something. The whole you get to talk as much shit as you want to as long as you can back it up is tired.

If you act like an asshole with a super ego I don’t give a fuck if you are the best in 10 pro sports. There is a neat word called humility. It’s not a bad one.

  16. Difference is the Mannings are low key assholes when in comes to this stuff.

The Sanders hate is because he is loud about it and makes a huge deal about everything.

  17. Deadass. Everyone bitching about shaduer being stuck up and forget that Eli literally manipulated the draft bc he didn’t want a certain team to pick him
