Nikola Jokic on averaging a triple-double for the season: “It’s nice. I think I didn’t do that before. I don’t know. I don’t know what to say. It’s good.”

  1. I’m not sure what people want him to do. Jump up and down and swing his wiener around in celebration?

  2. “What does high score mean? New high score, is that bad? What does that mean? Did I break it?”

  3. That’s his exact answer every time someone asks him about his stats or some new record he set.

  4. “Nikola, how does it feel to win a championship?”

“It feels good, it feels good. Now we can go home.”

  5. He looks like he just want to race horses in Serbia and playing NBA is just a regular “work to pay your bills” scrnario

  6. He’s the most blue collar superstar ever. He’s like “My job is to play basketball. I play basketball. If we all do a good job we can win, because trying to win is our job. I’m just doing my job as well as I can.”

  7. Averaging a triple double and becoming a head coach in the same season is quite the feat

  8. He’s the most Balkan man I’ve ever seen. He set a record but it doesn’t matter bc they won’t win a championship

  9. Dude is 1000 times more likely to retire suddenly without a press conference than ever demand a trade to LA lmfao

  10. I’ve lived next to an Eastern European dude for 10 years and our only interaction was when I said hi once and he ignored me. It’s just established that we don’t acknowledge each other. It’s actually kinda nice. I think this is the way Jokic approaches public interactions

  11. He is the kind of man that wants to be paid what he is worth and let him play and not do this circus show.

  12. Joker reminds of an old-timer at work.

Ridiculously competent, reliable and was even offered the top job, but hates being in the limelight so refuses to accept the promotion.

Some people just prefer the quieter, simpler life I guess

  13. I’m a huge fan of jokic, but there’s something I understand with his responses. Fans and media love celebrating milestones when it crosses that 10’s. What if jokic had 9.9 assists? What if his 30 20 20 had 19 rebounds instead? What if his 61 point triple double was just 59 instead and luka is still the top in that scoring list? Would jokic be any less of the player he is praised for?

If those things didn’t happen, there would probably be less noise for his great season and mvp case (and with those things he could realistically lose his potential 4th)

  14. How scary would it be if Jokic starts to enjoy playing basketball the way he enjoys horse racing, something happened in that Olympics game…

  15. ‘John, you are stacking paper so efficiently this year, that you stacked more 100 piles than any other year. In fact, you stacked more paper than anyone in the company, and this year that number is even rounder. How do you feel?’

  16. His indifference to stats and most metrics guys obsess about makes him so interesting. It doesn’t seem like an act he just doesn’t care about this type of shit

  17. This is why joker is my favorite non Laker. I normally hate anyone else that kills us but I love this dude and his attitude. I wish him the best as long as he isn’t playing the Lakers.

  18. It’s impressive but I am sure he would trade this for his team not sucking ass around him.
