Kevin Durant and Miami Heat Will Reportedly Have Mutual Interest This Offseason

Tobin discusses Kevin Durant’s future reportedly getting traded this summer and the Suns working with KD’s reps to find a team he likes. Miami is among a handful of teams that will have mutual interest, according to Shams Charania. Durant could help one of Miami’s biggest struggling areas this season. What would Miami have to give up for KD? Is he too old for the Heat if Miami feels this far away from contending?

  1. If Kevin Durant was so great the Suns would have made the playoffs they weren't even a play in team and he has empty numbers and has a horrible assists to turnover ratio and turns the ball over too much.

  2. It is hard to get excited for another older player who, with our luck, get injured and not play half the season (yes I am salty about Wiggins).

Plus it doesn't sound like Miami can afford him . . .

  3. So we didn’t pay jimmy who plays well on both sides of the court and can go off in the playoffs, but we’ll sign someone who is worse at defense and is older. Also we’d have to give up picks and players. Makes 0 sense

  4. KD is old and not LeBron no thanks take the picks and reload with young talent like a smart team not watch and old KD get hurt for months at a time

  5. If the heat trade for KD. I predict the play in next year.

And also can the heat actually go for 2 way players. KD isn’t one of them anymore

  6. KD can still put up numbers but we can’t get rid of herro, bam and ware, I think Mitchell is safe in this scenario but if we get rid of any of these guys, it dosent work no point in getting KD but I do think Gianni’s if a 1st rd exit or Edward’s I would be open to bam, herro or ware getting traded to be able to get those guys

  7. So the Heat are trying to push for the playoffs they gentlemen swept again. Lose a lottery pick in the progress and then trade all their remaining draft picks for a 38 year old KD. This front office is cooked

  8. I aint watch the vid. Wen straight to the comments to read em and say Giannis AnT SGA or Joker. Thats the only type of players to make any real change for us.

  9. If we trade for KD I might just hand in my Heat fan card, honestly. I really don’t find him likable. I don’t want to root for him. He’s old, he’s negative, and we’d probably be giving away young guys that I like and believe in to get him.

It would also reflect that the Heat decision makers are living in the past. I’m getting all excited thinking about getting 2 rookies and they could be traded away for this miserable dinosaur.

  10. Trading for KD would be such a terrible move. It would be more about keeping the team relevant for merchandising rather than actually wanting a championship. We aren't a KD away from a title. It would be best to just use the draft picks this year. Go into next season without the Jimmy drama and everyone being healthy. The goal should be continued development while aiming for that 6th seed. If worse comes to worse. You can make a trade at the deadline.

  11. There's been a lot of scuttle about Booker possibly finally wanting out now too. That team is a real shit show – and that's really something coming from a Heat fan lol.

  12. Ahhh shit here we go again oh this star is coming to miami or oh this star want to come to miami god i.mran when r u miami heat fans gonna learn lmao no star wanna go down there to miami to lose first rd over and over again lmao get real but ofc were gonna have to hear about these fake ass rumors all summer just to see u mismi heat fand cry when dont a single star comer to miami lmao

  13. I have mixed feelings about bringing in KD. I mean don't get it twisted, he's effing amazing. But he's, what, 37 years old? Maybe not your typical 37yr old, granted… but 37 nonetheless. I really don't know that I want the fo to tie down that kind of cap space on a dude that old if I'm being honest.

Like I said – I'm torn. I'd be on board, of course. But I'm torn about it right now.

  14. It's nice to think about but i dont think Durant wants to go the Miami route. That might be a good thing, he might cost Miami too much anyways.

  15. Honestly if the price for KD is still high then whats is the point of gutting the team to get him. He's 36 and he'll be 37 by the time next season starts. Just not worth it, not for that price.

  16. I think we have to go a little younger than KD. I think we should hold off on a big move for a while until a really good fit comes around like an Ant.
