What a game from the bullpen I love this team
Will Vest? More like Will Best your best batter!
We made some mistakes today that we can easily clean up. More importantly, we looked at the best team in baseball and punched em in the mouth.
This game could have easily been 10-2 us if we clean up some fielding and base running. We also made some progress into SD’s bullpen, which if that continues, we can win this thing.
Man this team is so fun to watch
Looks like a true AL contender. Long season ahead and seems like every year I comment “long season” but it’s usually after a bad start. This time we’re hot, there are going to be some bad series and slumps, but this team is capable of beating everyone in the AL, so, you know what that means.

Solid win against one of the hottest teams in the league. Let’s keep it going 🙌
Playoffs. Our starting pitchers are rock solid, our bullpen is rock solid (except for Maeda), our hitters are rock solid, and our defense is rock solid. This team is going ALL THE WAY
McKinstry is my tiger
That starter’s ERA took a bump.
i’m bricked
Let’s fucking go. What a solid start to the season so far.
What a wild ride those first 4 innings were
Minor thing, but it is so nice seeing throws from the left side of the infield actually not be in the dirt of the stands. Trey throws a nice ball almost every time.
I’m so happy that Zach is playing so well lately. He’s such a good dude.
Only member of the current Tigers I’ve met, and he was super chill.
McKinstry is the new Don Kelly!
C’mon Pistons, make this a perfect Detroit sports night! 🙏
McKinstry is becoming a really solid contributor this year. Awesome to see him being consistent. I wonder if him having a consistent spot in right field is having an impact. Going to be a tough choice when Vierling is back in action.
Sweeney is struggling on a lot of soft grounders in front of him. I’m not positive but I feel like a lot of long term mlb shortstops make that play. Feels like you really want those outs. I like Sweeney a lot and you can tolerate the bat with solid defense but he’s lacking a bit. Today was rough at least.
Montero. I think turning the team into a 6 man rotation makes sense in the long term. Keep guys healthy and then when Cobb comes back we have even more options. Montero is getting his shot but he’s struggling with control. Still not a terrible outing but I’m never comfortable with him on the mound.
Good game
Love this team
Tigers good 👍
Can anyone send a link of baseball savant saying what balls hit at 107.1 with a 31 degree angle usually do. I don’t know how to do it
Can the Guardians kindly fuck off and lose some games please?
This team is so good.
LFG
I’m just happy we won a game against the Padres, but you know what would be even better? Winning again

Don’t get me wrong, it’s been fun rooting for an iykyk Tigers team with the rest of you baseball hipsters…but man, winning this series would be a satisfying way to force the national talking heads to take notice of what the Tigers have cooking.
Anyone else flip over to Friars sub and see them complaining about “injury”.
As if the Tigers aren’t missing their CF, RF, 3B, C and don’t have a large portion of their bullpen gone and are starting a guy who was a Mud Hen last week.
Good win by the guys here! Got to their bullpen early which is always nice. Would have liked to make the most of some of those opportunities late but did enough to get the win. Jace looked good at 3rd, Javy wasn’t a disaster in center, bullpen was lights out. What more could you want?
Can you people please stop standings watching in April, it’s ridiculous. Did you all forget what happened…. literally last year?
Gleyber Torres was such a great signing for the Tigers.
The Padres are a legit World Series contender too, and we beat them convincingly without our best pitchers.
The Pistons also ended their playoff losing streak today. A great day for Detroit sports.
I’m enjoying McKinstry’s impact on all of these games. He’s gotten better and better.
Yessir
Couldn’t catch the game due to the Pistons game. How was Javy in CF?
