When the questions were asked about the morale and Larkin's remarks I love what McClellen said about the players that were on team were good enough they just let games slip away and Yzerman echoed it by saying the top guys on the team are paid to lead. 4. Man. Some of these journalists don't even know Red Wings history. I survived the Dead Wings era and watched the 14 year build it took for SY to win his first cup at 32. All you instant gratification junkies need to check history. Even the Lightning took 10 years and they had superstars.

10. Stevie Y. looks flustered overall. Angry when "Dylan" was mentioned. It's a tough position to be in. Stevie did make a few missteps, Dylan pointed to a tip of the iceberg, but not the historical missteps (e.g., poor trades (Walman), loosing excellent folks (Shane Gos,) I like that Stevie has been confronted publicly and expect some better decision making. Maybe Larkin takes a year off as captain?

12. My biggest issue with the Org right now is the Pro Scouting and saying "we are learning as we go" is not a great answer. You can't tell me that Steve wouldn't be able to go out and hire a couple of established Pro Scouts from other teams to strengthen and teach the best of our current scouts.

14. Steve understands hockey. Todd gets it. Steve has always IMO come across awkward in the limelight. Same as a captain. So what – he loves the Red Wings more than anybody I know in pro hockey management. He cares more. He has had some hits and some misses. But we are coming on . We are BIG but not mean enough. He got that right. Training camp is going to be hellish. That much I know. 👀🪖

18. Drafting is not the issue with Yzerman. The free agency process in July is the head scratcher. Be aggressive and go after Marner this year and Quinn Hughes in two years. And if he was holding on at the deadline why did he go after Mrazek and Smith. The Capitals finished 20 points ahead of Detroit versus 1 last year. And the Canadiens youth passed Detroit in the standings and making the playoffs.

32. Glad that SY has not traded Top Prospects for also ran players. Buffalo wanted Marco K for Cuzins. He is a minus 2 in the playoffs and they gave up a high level d-man in Norris. Experts have stated Ottawa is missing a high level defenseman this playoffs. Maybe that was a bad deal. No move was the best move
