   Took from that interview is that Brad has a size and build profile from his edge rushers 6’3 or taller and 260 plus powerful edge rushers and he grades them by round I don’t he had a first three round grade on Josiah Stewart or Mike green or Donavan eziraku and before you say what about James Houston ? He was a 6th 7th round pick that isn’t good in anchoring against the run which is why I never bought the idea he would draft James Pearce jr or Donovan because they aren’t big DEs

3. I think fans are gonna bitch regardless of situation. Whether it's an edge or pick your position, our fanbase does a lot of bitching and moaning for no good reason other to complain about something. Brad doesn't have to answer to the fans. It's not his job. His job is to put the best team together that he can. People are already writing the Lions off coz they didn't get another edge in the draft. Some of the dumbest fucking thinking that you can have. I get you don't have to like every single thing that Brad does, but in the end, if you're not supporting a team that went FIFTEEN and TWO with all the damn injuries we had, kick fuckin rocks.

4. Brad took the worst team in the NFL with 2 offensive lineman and NOTHING else and in 4 years has given us 2 division championships and a conference title in 4 years. If you don't like how he's building this team go be a Jets fan. There GM and owner build their team exactly how you want.

5. Smith was inconsistent. I don't see them bringing him back. He had 4 sacks and was putting a lot of pressures on before we lost our middle to injuries and he wasn't able to step it up. Disappeared. Shows you how important it is to be strong up the middle.

6. You are looking for another double digit sack guy as a DE 2. Whoever Brad brings in if they aren't a pro bowler on the other side you and most of the other people that do Lions content are going to bitch and moan that Brad isn't doing enough. SHUT UP!!

8. If the Lions thought Davenport was a for sure answer at DE2, he would get paid like one. Money talks. Davenport is making what, $1.4 mil guaranteed? That's not a "we expect him to be our DE2 all season" contract.

   If your car broke down the last 2 times while driving into work, you'd want a very reliable backup. You'd be stupid if you weren't worried about it enough to make contingencies.

11. The problem with many of you Podcasters you sit there and act like basement GM's, do your mock drafts and select who you want the Lions to take after watching a highlight reel. You dont put the months of time, investigating these kids, talking to coaches, looking at every facet of his game and personal life. Then you throw a tantrum when Brad dont take the player you want him to.

    If you want to be a GM apply for the next opening.

12. We want another producer to help Hutch because edge gets injured often. In fact, edge gets hurt more than offensive linemen. Yet we grabbed 2 lineman and waited until round 6 for an edge. That's where the frustration comes in… We saw Jayden Daniels have all day and crush us and we think we could limit the QB better than we are…… Go get that edge help.

21. He has deflected his for 2.5 years now. We need Edge no matter the talent over everything so Brad went and drafted 1…. why were the last 3 picks not all Edge? We need talent AND depth. So now we have to hope this 1 dude is talented instead of having multiple shots at finding some good talent late. 2 WRs for what? Brad has shown he can't draft or sign Edge talent. Hutch fell to him at #2 so let's not pretend he has done anything to address it.

22. If if if, Davenport plays 12 plus games and is healthy at the end of the year the lions will have a top 3 defense. I get it, we need another pass rusher to step up. I think Muhammad will be good and nobody talks about him, I also think they have Zadarius coming back. Stop being panicans. We have a Super Bowl contender, the window is wide open for several years. Let Brad cook

23. I cant even stand the fan base in this town. You all act like we haven't won 36 games the past 3 years and our defense is sh!t. Just an FYI, there are so many ways to get pressure on the QB and edge is just one. The defense is one of the best in the league and all you idiots care about is sacks from 1 position. 27. I'm hopeful Davenport is hearing all the media and doubting him. When healthy…he is a solid player. Davenport is definitely the key for our d line this coming season.

When looking at the "type" of DE that Brad likes to use, you could argue that the only DE that fit was Scouton, who was still on the board in that range in 2nd round….When you compare a Tate Ratledge v Scourton selection, you could see Brad having Ratledge ranked higher on his board and if that was the case….he made the correct move not reaching earlier…

29. I think Brad is just waiting to see if another Veteran Edge gets released or becomes available, before we commit to Zadarius…
