NHL cancels 2026 All-Star Game, will hold ‘kickoff’ event before Olympics

Sounds interesting. I’m assuming it will have some different media events with the all stars and the Olympians?

Good. The all-star game sucks now.
So i guess a roster unveiling and skills competition?
I wonder how they’re going to ruin another event this time.

Anything less than the four nation tournament is a waste of time
Kinda thought All-Star game would be cancelled due to Olympics and scheduling. At the same time, I’d love to see for the least, a condescend Olympic warmup so to speak. Canada – US would be awesome to see.
EDIT: not sure why I was downvoted. Just saying a preolympic warmup would be fun to see. Even if it’s one game before Olympics. Think a 4 Nations final rematch.
I think they should just be rotating what event happens, Olympic year: Olympics, no ASG obviously, 2027, ASG, 2028, another ASG or just give them a break, 2029, 4 nations.
Just absolutely screwing the Isles out of a ton of revenue lol.
I know we all hate the ASG, but making this decision after previously giving the ASG to any team fucking blows.
This is great. A fan fest, get the stars and teams involved get everyone hype for the olympics, I really like it
