Texas Rangers’ broken offense looks fixed after 15-run explosion as Jacob deGrom looks fully back
The Texas Rangers almost doubled their season-high run production with a 15-run explosion against the A’s. Marcus Semien, Jake Burger, Wyatt Langford and Josh Smith put together great offensive days in support of a fully actualized Jacob deGrom.
So far this season Jacob deGrom had been merely good, not otherworldly, but after a few mechanical tweaks he looked like the best pitcher on Earth against the A’s.

Still need to see them continue to score runs and against someone other than the As. Great W though. And s/o to Degrom.
Really hope this hitting is here to stay , let’s hope joc Pederson gets the hitting bug too
I was so fed up, when the As called up a minor league pitcher I streamed him in fantasy like I did with Mcgreevy last year. And then this happens, lol, never been happier to lose points in fantasy.
Didnt fully believe the change tho until they stopped beating up the kid and started on proper relievers
Sasquatch are real
1 good game doesn't mean the offense is fix you are way more optimistic than I am . Degrom looked great though that's what I'm encouraged about the hitting is another story
It doesn’t even matter if they can’t do a consistently anybody could have one good game their track record shows. They are still the worst and all the baseball and that’s exactly how I’m gonna view them and take until they can prove me wrong.
We need to see the bats stay hot for the next month. They will have a chance to take this division by the horns and run away with it. May is a big month. Let's see what these Rangers can do.
The Rangers scored 15 runs against a Triple-A pitcher, the underbelly of the A's bullpen, and a catcher. However, it was definitely a step in the right direction. They need to put together 2 more good offensive games against the A's to be ready for the Mariners' good pitching this weekend.
I wish they would have saved some runs for the Seattle Series. On a high note, Tavaras is heating up .
Trying to maintain perspective in both directions. Very happy about the game and wasn’t despairing of the offense before, but…
A. First of all, really more like 12 runs, the Higgy hit was off a position player.B There was very favorable umpiring, especially early on, that allowed those walks to happen. C The breaks went our way, balls fell in, we hit ‘em where they weren’t.
I did see a better approach at the plate, which paid off. Loved to see Doli and others taking pitches just off the plate. Great game, very happy about it, reason to be optimistic, but this just proves there was reason to be optimistic before.
You scared them straight, Brice!
I don’t know if you mentioned, Degrom registered 100 on a pitch to Butler. I think it was his second-to-last AB, the foul right before the strikeout.
