Sharks defense will be terrible for eternity but at least we’ll be loaded up front like the leafs are
“We’ll still get the player we want…” either Grier loves Misa or Sharks management thinks Islanders will take him.
Sharks will do just fine with pick #2, and I hope that luck in future draft lotteries comes thier way when they are not last in the standings. Mike Grier and staff now have to think more about the UFA players available this year to get this team back to playoffs. Sharks fans want more than 82 games per season! The other thing to remember is that sometimes the first pick ion NHL draft crumbles from the pressure and flames out as well, so it can be a curse to be #1 also.
Great interview! Already looking forward to next season!!
I appreciate that this team president shows that he cares. Nowadays, it's becoming rare that a team president shows a lot of care for not just the team, but more importantly, for the fans. Ticket prices are wacky, that I don't like, but at least he seems like the kind that takes responsibility.
Where the tix at? Cant find em
Let's go sharks
Mr.Becher is probably the most charming and charismatic hockey prez…. I love San Jose and the Sharks!!!
More than okay with #2. Last year, it would have been a bummer. This year's draft does not have a clear stand out first overall. Burns is getting off the books for next season, shortly after will be Jones buyout and EK65 salary retainment. Financially, Grier has gotten the SJS out of the financial shipwreck DW left. Also within reasonable time, Grier has position the franchise is more than right direction. SJS easily has the best prospects in the organization amongst the league. This is exactly how dynasties are built. Hopefully we'll have a bunch of guys are don't need top end money and we'll have enough to retain the prospects for the next 10+ years. A minimum 2 cups is expected from this next generation. No reason why they couldn't.
