  1. The video is FOUR years old. Surely the time for this grievance has passed?

  2. What is the point you are trying to make here?

All coaches will defend their player and call out opposing players regardless of the actual incident.

  3. Man I quoted this thing a few days ago on another post and now this is the third time I have seen someone else bring it up. I would love someone to ask him if he thinks Matthew is a dirty player than directly afterward ask about his thoughts on this play.

  4. coaches have a lot of built in hypocrisy when defending their own team. Worst culprit in history for this is Claude Julien imo.

  5. I was okay with rooting for the Leafs as a Canadian team but this is getting insufferable quickly.

  6. Why doesn’t a reporter play this clip for him during question period?

  7. You Einsteins think confirmation bias only applies when you’re watching from the sidelines? *obviously* coaches and other players are going to like the guy who plays on the edge of dirty if they’re doing it for them rather than against them… it helps them win, which is their job 😂😂😂

  8. It’s not a moral crusade. It’s hockey. Give me a filthy player who wins me a Cup. We’ll be brothers for life!

  9. I was coaching a team and saw them blatantly intending on injuring other players I would make them skate so much they couldn’t play the next game

  10. Shocking news: NHL Coach defends dirty plays by his players after previously condemning similar dirty plays done by opponent.

    Wow.

There are 31 other NHL coaches who this applies to as well.
