Found a Way | Royals Walk-Off in Unbelievable Fashion

Lugo who is making his eighth start of the year. His last three have been quality starts. He’s quality as a human being as well. This kid, he’s not a kid. He’s a grown up that really knows how to throw that ball and spin it. He’s excellent chase. Maroth leads off right handed hitting shortstop two hops to jonathan India at third base tonight. One away that will bring up miguel Vargas, the third baseman India. This time gets a one hopper and over to for the second out here is the, on his birthday. Matt hits the first pitch on the ground to the second baseman. That’s Garcia toss the first and that’s that three up, three down all on the ground. There’s a look at Sean Burke on for his seventh start. 33 innings. He a below five and he had pretty good stuff most of the time this year. Jonathan India hitting 230 with 28 hits and to shallow right field Rojas calling for it and will make the grab for out. Number one, ayoo Jr had two hits and he reached for the walk last night in the air to center Michael a Taylor, the center fielder tonight with the grab for out number two passino with two outs hit hard but it Rojas a good start for sean Burke sets down the Royals in order to end this first five up five down for Lugo Palacio two one is lined in the left center. It’s a base hit. Isbell got a good read on it but because it was off the bat of a lefty, it was slicing toward left center and Isbell had to play on a bounce that will bring up Baldwin it in the air. And for me makes the catch runner at first two out. So we go to the bottom of the second Royals. Nothing white Sox, nothing scoreless game. Top of the third runner on first with nobody out. Now the ex Royal Michael A Taylor flap this one up the middle. So a good start to the third inning for the Sox Rojas with the walk and Taylor now with a single and the lineup will turn over 0 to 1 tonight. There’s the ground ball out at second and a double play. A team that’s having a hard time scoring runs and you’ve got some players that aren’t really that powerful. So you saw this coming Vargas grounded out to third in the first inning line. Left center field is Bell on the run and he runs it down. So the White Sox have two on with nobody out but Lugo pitches through it. Freddie was zero for four in game one last night. 2 to 1 pitch Fermin shows bunt drops it down third base side. It is perfect bare hand pickup from Vargas throw to first no chance a bunt single for Freddie for me. And now he’s at first base with nobody out for perhaps the best punter on the team in kyle Isbell and is thinking the same thing and he challenges Vargas and his is in time on a very nice play moves for me to second , but he had all intentions of that being a base hit. One is lined out in the deep center. Taylor will retreat and make the catch. Vermin will tag and head to third. He’s there with two outs. Here’s wit with two outs in the air to right field, Palacios charging in losing his hat and it’s fallen there in foul territory, making the grab, that’s a great catch and they put away a tough hitter and it’s scoreless to start the top of the fourth innings, swinging a hard ground ball and a base hit in the right center is Garcia couldn’t get it. The leads off the fourth with the base hit. Now he’s having a good birthday that will bring up edgar Carro Carro swings and misses in a cutter strike three second time tonight that Lugo’s gotten Carro on strikes that will bring up Vaughn 32 and there’s a base hit out on the right at least we think the throw to second is a little late. I wasn’t quite sure that ball would get down easy for us to see. And Bigio playing it on a bounce nearly got a force out at second , but it is a single for Vaughn. So two on for Palacios, Joshua Palacios on the line to center, but it’s right at, there’s two away. Let’s turn this into a one, nothing at least advantage with two men on. It’s Brooks Baldwin breaking ball, slap the other way, gets into the left field. They’re going to wave in the and it’s bobbled in left by waters as they will score easily. Sox strike first off the RB I single from Brooks Baldwin’s and now out into right center field , but it’s going to hang up for Isbell who makes the play. So the White Sox get a two yard RB I from Brooks Baldwin and they lead 1 to 0. Matt, the leads off. The six stays on that breaking ball does a nice job to get enough to send it into left field. Matt the 2 to 3 on his now Edgar Carroll. He needs to put a ball in play here. He struck out twice already. That one gets by for me and th they go to second standing up. This is a huge run 31 swinging a chopper to second and Garcia immediately thought about throwing to third but decided better and he’ll get the out at first. So Carro does move that runner to third. They’ll play the infield in against Vaughn with one out swings at the first one and it gets under the legs of India. So thy will score, we will see how they rule it because that was smoked off the bat of Vaughn. They’re going to rule it. E five undoubtedly because it’s hit right at him and there’s no doubt matt couldn’t have scored on this. Andrew gets an inside fastball. He hits it hard enough. Certainly. And India who shifted from left to third base doesn’t even get a glove on it. Runner on first with one out for Joshua Palacios deep center field Isbell turns and goes all the way back to the wall to make the catch and that was into the wind. If you hit a ball that far, you would hope that you could get something out of it, but not look at Ibe. He’s so talented Brooks Baldwin hold on the ground to second and garcia throws him out. But the White Sox get another run first pitch to Kyle Isbell fastball hit high in the air deep to right field. Palacios races back at the fence. It’s gone. That ambush home run from kyle Isbell. He takes the first pitch of the inning and sends it over the right field fans out of the QT fountain deck and the Royals are on the board tonight. It’s now 2 to 1 in the bottom of the 6th, 3rd home run of the season for Kyle is so the Royals have cut the deficit in half trailing 2 to 1 now in the bottom of the sixth inning third walk of the game for Lugo that puts runners on 1st and 2nd and that’s the end of the line for Lugo. Tonight, Matt comes to take the baseball with the lefty, th due up in the lefty serpa warm in the bullpen calls upon the lefty and the white Sox will pinch hit for Matt and send up a right hand batter and Sosa hits it high in the air deep to left center field waters is back onto the warning track is bells there too. He makes the catch running to his right and that innings but didn’t break and he gets the out two walks in the inning. So we will get a pitching change will Venable will take the ball from the starter. Burke who will exit with a 2 to 1 lead. Stephen Wilson comes out for the eighth time giving up nothing seven and two thirds innings and he inherits the game on the bases 1st and 2nd 1 out here. Freddie with one out quality pitch popped up foul. Vargas will make the grab for out number two. This is the man who scored the only run of the night for the Royals. A solo home run for kyle Isbell back in the sixth inning on the ground sliding stop and Rojas with the throw to second as Stephen Wilson gets out of the jam out at second base. Much to the delight of the Sox and certainly sean Burke, the Sox have two on with two out. Brings up Rojas with a walk of shingle and the fly ball to center. Rojas slaps it through the hole. They’re going to wave in May. The throw to the plate is late and he scores Sox take a 31 lead here in the eighth in the RB I single for Rojas. Now the Sox two for nine with runners in scoring position and Kansas City zero for five takes outside. That’s ball four and Salvador Perez will come up the tying run here in the eighth left field and over Baldwin’s head who got a little nonchalant. Here comes Vinney around third and it’s a one run game with the tying run at second base. He was kind of casually cruising back on that instead of really busting it. He’s playing deep. That’s what I thought he just drifted. Can’t drift in the outfield to get to the spot. And now Renfree runs at second with Jordan leisure on to face Mike Garcia at short by excellent play by Umaya saves game for the White Sox at least for the moment will goes to Cam Boozer handing in the ball with a one run lead and that is a leadoff walk. Drew waters digs in on the right side and hit his head going to be safe at second base. You can tell he’s struggling with it. The wind is not broad like it did earlier. Look at it. He just totally whipped and Taylor’s throw was over. He had a force play. Watch him see what off the glove and off the dome. What happened now, take advantage of it and a good one and no play bases loaded. Nobody out and the White Sox are in trouble popped up. This will be the first out infield fly rule in effect. Rojas will make the Cats halfway between third and home bases loaded. One out. Ninth inning, 3 to 2. Chicago, jonathan, India, India. It’s a ground ball up the middle diving play, no play at second base. The game is tied so was not able to connect with my drop at second base, but he kept the ball out of the outfield and at least for now has saved the game but can turns his leadoff walk into the game tying run. Junior doesn’t play mind games. He plays game, he’s looking to attack right here to win the game in the air center field and it will drop. So it will be a long walk off RB I single for Bobby Witt Jr and the Chicago White Sox who played great defense for eight innings , fall apart in the bottom of the ninth and the Royals take full advantage.

Seth Lugo didn’t have his best stuff in the start vs. the White Sox, but still found a way to keep the Royals in the game tossing 6.2 innings and allowing just a pair of runs. The offense struggled to get going until Kyle Isbel got the Royals on the board in the 6th inning with a solo home run. Salvador Perez would add a run in the 8th inning with an RBI double, but the Royals would enter the bottom of the 9th inning trailing by a run. The Royals would load the bases in their final chance thanks to a walk from Mark Canha, an error allowing Drew Waters to reach, and a bunt single from Freddy Fermin. Jonathan India would tie the game on a hard-hit ball to short that the White Sox could not get a grip on in time to record an out, setting the stage for Bobby Witt Jr. to come through with his second career walk-off hit, giving the Royals an improbable 4-3 win.

  1. I love how the dude in the outfield just let it drop. He knew that no matter what he did, the game was over cause there's no way he throws the runner out at home

  2. As Denny Matthews said on the radio call, good teams find ways to win games, bad teams find ways to lose games, that 9th inning was a perfect example!

  3. This game should be alarming. KC should NOT have struggled with this pitcher. The hitting situation for KC is going to be a problem again. I WANT them to be good but how are they going to fair with Detroit when they are struggling here……

  4. MLB please investigate. 😒 That's a fixed game. Those white Sox players did some shady stuff too create the loss. Sports betting is ruining America πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ sports.

  5. And the Kansas City Royals are going to need some of them fast runners?Did they send them back to AA?I don't remember their names , but they don't even have anybody to pull off the bench to run fast.
