As a leafs fan, this is about as bullshit as the Domi crosscheck in game 1. I would’ve been fine with a (2 minute) Florida pp on this play, even with the retaliation.

I agree with the ref. This is the playoffs, step your game up. You took a hit to get the puck deep. He knew it was coming, he then sold the penalty. You’re not getting that soft shit in the playoffs.

My take it’s boarding and embellishment. He got boarded for sure, but he embellished to try and get a 5 out of it.
Maybe if the Panthers didn’t have a history of waiting in the tunnel for a major to be called then popping right out they might get the benefit of the doubt.
