  21. I can’t believe this scumbag is back on the league.

    You could maybe make an excuse for Bowman, he was a young GM at the time and maybe there were communication issues leading to his lack of action… maybe, I myself consider him at fault to enough a degree he shouldn’t be in the NHL.

    But Joel was on the front lines and if I remember correctly he was proven to have lied about a meeting that never happened about the issue, as well as hiding the issue from the team for the sake of maintaining their focus.

    As the mature figure in the room who was supposed to be the team’s rock, a figure they could trust, he failed in every aspect with his actions and allowed a rapist to leave the Hawks organization without consequence only to go to another university and perform those same crimes on two other individuals. Coach Quenville is a scumbag and honestly if I was a top player in Anaheim I’d be demanding out right now, if an organization is willing to hire an individual like him who is so willing to sacrifice justice for the sake of winning, what else is he willing to sacrifice to win?

  34. This is so short sighted. No amount of winning absolves what Q did. For the ducks this is a lose lose. Even if they win they lose. Bringing in a fan off the streets would have been a better decision.

    Edit: Ducks management: if you’re reading this I would be very glad to accept the role as head coach of the Anaheim Ducks. I played Midget AA hockey and have been a leafs homer for several decades now, I’m very qualified. I will stand in front of the media and answer every question they have about strategy or lineup decisions. I won’t even be mad about it or get upset when they question why I’m asking the players to “just do better.”

    Additionally, I’ve been background checked up the wahzoo and have no history of covering up sexual abuse. Please DM me if you’d like to discuss a contract offer. Im willing to negotiate a fair salary.

  35. Not to brag as a Habs fan, but Martin St-Louis turned out to be a good coach so far, learning as he went. He is a new coach in the league; just fucking give new coaches a chance FFS! It’s not like the Ducks are in the prime years of contention.
