Denver Broncos Caleb Lohner SECRET WEAPON For Sean Payton?

The Denver Broncos seventh-round pick Caleb Lohner could be a secret weapon for Sean Payton and the Broncos offense. How might Lohner factor into the tight end rotation alongside Evan Engram and Adam Trautman? Plus, why is rookie punter Jeremy Crawshaw the favorite to win the job competing against Matt Haack and why is Desmond Ridder getting invited to Broncos minicamp?

Cody Roark is a credentialed beat reporter for Mile High Sports and covers the Broncos daily in person. Sayre Bedinger is the site expert for Predominantly Orange. Both bring Broncos Country the most in-depth and objective coverage of the Denver Broncos.

  1. Lohner can watch Ingram to learn TE receiving. Says something when four of his five catches were TDs and the other a 2-point conversion. That suggests he is a good player in the red zone. Wasn't Tim Patrick from Utah as well? Crawshaw at 5,280 feet could maybe punt from one goal line to the other. He could really be Denver's not-so-secret secret weapon. Perhaps he could turn bad field position into good field position on a regular basis. Personally, I would prefer they never have to punt. At least this QB competition is for the third, or possibly second on the depth chart. It is very nice to not have to worry about who will be the starting QB.

  2. Always grateful😊very appreciative🎉have a great day❤locked on BRONCOS is a must first listen of the day and our secret weapon for all things BRONCOS

  3. Another great episode guys! Sayer, your hat game is unparalleled. I'm not a fan of these last two selections. I understand he was the best punter in the draft, but the second best punter, who is not that far away from him, is an undrafted free agent. When we had needs for inside linebacker and offensive line depth, as well as a backup pass catching tight end that can contribute immediately, I think these last two picks were misguided. Our Super Bowl window is opening, if not open now, and we need someone to step in right away. I hope I'm proven wrong, and I'm happy if I am, but I'm not a fan of these Picks at all.

As for Desmond Ridder, he has proven he cannot play and win at a high level in the NFL. I'm surprised we're bringing in someone like him. Hopefully it's just a body and camp to push our qb3, but I'm surprised we're wasting roster space on someone like him.
