This is the WORST Case Scenario for the Cleveland Cavaliers
know what’s going on y’all. It’s con and it might already be over for the Cleveland Cavaliers. They won 64 games. They had three all-stars. Likely going to have two AllNBA players at the Dway, the coach of the year. They were the shocking story of this NBA season going from middle of the pack in the Eastern Conference to a certified juggernaut. And here we are two games into the Eastern Conference semis and it feels like they might have hit an insurmountable obstacle. Uh they lose game one to the Indiana Pacers. Extremely impressive effort from Indiana. Daryus Garland misses the game. And the hope is coming into game two that he will be back in the Cavs at full strength. Can go ahead and even this one up and continue to make it a very entertaining and back and forth series going over to Indiana. But instead, no Darius Scarland for this game. Still no Evan Moy for this game who ended up hurting his ankle. No DeAndre Hunter for this game either. So down two starters, three high impact players with DeAndre Hunter going up against this incredible Indiana Pacers team and they looked fine for a majority of this game. This is a Cavs team that has so much depth. They’re one of the deepest teams I’ve ever seen. They’ve still got a star in Donovan Mitchell. Jared Allen is still really good. They’ve got so many players who have stepped up this entire season. And despite Ty Jerome being one of those guys and playing horrifically, he made one shot out of like 15 in this game. They won up by 20 points. Uh the Pacers didn’t lead outside of the first few minutes up until really late when the Cavaliers were up seven points with less than 50 seconds to go. And that is a margin that pretty much never gets surmounted. If you were the team in the losing position there in the playoffs, you basically never win unless you’re the Pacers who did it against the Bucks in the closeout game. And tonight they did it for a second time. A couple of turnovers from the Cleveland Cavaliers miscues. Uh letting Aaron Eastmith get a putback dunk to go ahead and give them some extra points with no time off the clock. Letting Tyres Hallebertton rebound his own miss after missing a free throw. Getting the ball, dribbling it, step back three. Pacers go up by one and the Cavs don’t have a timeout. uh prayer at the end doesn’t even really go anywhere. The Cavs lose. They’re down 02. They give up both games at home. Indiana is on a roll. Just an incredible comeback real quick from the Indiana Pacers. I have to give them their credit before I talk about what’s gone so wrong for Cleveland. Tyres came into these playoffs labeled by his peers in that poll as the most overrated player in the sport. He’s the guy that got the most votes and now he’s got two game winners in the span of three games and overall in the game tonight 19 points, nine rebounds, four assists, seven of 11 shooting, two of two from three and a block. Uh just a dominant offensive juggernaut and he’s stepped up defensively in this series as well. He’s had really good plays left and right. He’s taken over. He’s been unbelievably clutch. Tyrese has erased any and all narratives, any and all doubts that existed from the beginning of the season when he was struggling the end of last season in the playoffs where it’s like, hey, is he aggressive enough? Is he ready to be one of the top guys on a highle team? The answer is yes across the board. Tyrese is one of the best players in the sport. He is unbelievably special and if you put the ball in his hands at the end of the game, he’s going to go ahead and make not just a play, but he’s going to make a stellar one. He’s always going to make the right decision. He’s going to lead a team to victory. He’s unbelievably clutch. And again, if any narrative still existed about him being overrated or a fraud or anything like that, they cannot exist anymore. Shout out to Aaron Smith who had 23 points. We talked about depth. This Pacers team is deep as well. 23 from Miles Turner, 12 from Pascal Seakum, 19 from Benedict Matan. They they didn’t give up. They went down by 20 points and just kept fighting and fighting and fighting, but it still felt like there’s no way the Cavs blow this one, right? And I’m saying that as a Thunder fan who watched my favorite team blow the game yesterday. This was like deja vu. It’s like I was watching what happened yesterday, but now from an outsers’s perspective where a missed free throw leads to a devastating three to go ahead and put the favorite down in a really devastating way. And for Cleveland, this just absolutely sucks. Like I said a few minutes ago, this is one of the most exciting stories of the season. The Cleveland Cavaliers have played such high level basketball the entire year. They were doubted by a lot of people when they traded for Donovan Mitchell. Everyone’s like, “Oh, he’s just going to walk away.” But this past off season, he reups with the team. They bring in Kenny Atinson, a coach that was fired from the Brooklyn Nets pretty unceremoniously when that uh Kevin Durant, James H, and Kyrie Irving era began. He comes in here. He proves himself as coach of the year. Donovan Mitchell elevates his game to a new level. Daryus Gron bounces back after everybody doubts him coming off a really bad last season. Moy finally takes that leap. The team is clicking. They add DeAndre Hunter. They win 64 games. They one of the best net ratings ever. And people just continuously called them frauds. And I hate that that narrative is going to be perpetuated. If guys don’t get healthy, they’re just going to lose. And I feel like coming out of the season, the thought process from a lot of people is going to be, “Oh, they were always frauds. Yeah, I didn’t believe in the Cavaliers.” When in reality, it the injuries just came at the worst possible time to derail this team because, yeah, they’ve got a lot of depth, but the offense, it doesn’t work as well as it does, not nearly as well as it does if you don’t have Daryus Garland. If you don’t have Evan Moy as this versatile seven-footer. the defense really doesn’t work if you don’t have Evan Mobley out there. A guy that is, you know, the defensive player of the year. Like, he’s such a game changer on both ends for them. Same thing with Daryus Garland. So, now missing two allstar, all NBA level talents. Donovan Mitchell trying to do everything himself. I feel so bad for Donovan Mitchell who went out there and dropped 48 points, five rebounds, nine assists, four steals, and a block. He did pretty much everything he could. He only shot one of seven from three, so I guess that’s like the one blemish on his resume there, but 50% from the field. He emptied the cliff. He did everything possible. He stepped up. He carried the offensive load that shouldn’t be necessary of him because he should have his co-stars, but he didn’t. So, he made do. He did everything he could out there. Max Truce, 23 points. Huge step-up game from him. Uh Sam Merrell had 14 points, hit four threes. He stepped up against Ty Jerome. It really sucks. I’m a big Ty Jerome fan. He went to UVA like I did. He was a member of the Thunder. One of 14 shooting for just two points. The worst game of his season by far at the worst possible time. Uh, you got 22 and 12 from Jared Allen. You would have liked to see him rebound there at the end. And again, having Evan Mobley out there would have really helped. I don’t think there’s any way the Cavs lose this game if they have Moing Garland. There’s probably a good chance they win both of these games. If they have Daryus Garland, I’m not going to push the whatifs too much because the Pacers also had to come out here and win these games in the first place. They had to make the comeback. Like, the Cavs should have still held on to that lead. But I just I just feel really bad because this is a team that I believed in the whole season and I still do believe in them. If you know, I knew for a fact that next game they were going to have everybody back at 100%. I still think they have a real shot to win this series. They could win four out of five games. They were that talented. Even though this Pacers team is also really, really good. But I just don’t know who’s going to be back. I don’t know if they play again what they’re going to look like. And now you’re in a hole against again a really, really good Indiana squad. So you have to win now four out of the next five while potentially not having your guys out there. And even if they are out there, are they going to be themselves? It is such a devastating and heartbreaking end even as an outsider because I’m not a Cavs fan to a team that’s been so successful. So many players have erased narratives, have proved people wrong this entire season. I thought the Pacers could pull this off, but that it was going to take basically perfect play and they’ve done such a good job. I just really wish we were getting to see this matchup at full strength for, you know, everything that it’s made of and instead it’s probably going to go down as a season of, you know, what could have been for the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Celtics right now are down 01 to the Knicks, and I I do still think Boston’s going to win that, but they’re pretty banged up themselves. Could this have been a season where the Cavs beat the Pacers, they go on, they knock off the reigning champs in the Eastern Conference Finals in this incredible sevengame series, and they go to the finals, and they beat, you know, whoever comes out of the Western Conference, and they’re suddenly raising a Larry O’Brien trophy without LeBron James for the first time in the franchise’s history. Donovan Mitchell’s got a ring and probably a Finals MVP. Evan Moy’s got a ring. Jared Allen, Kenny Atinson, Daryus Garland, Ty Jerome, DeAndre Hunter, like I can’t help but think about what could have been. And I know I’m doing an obituary a little bit for them before it’s over. It is not over, but it feels like there’s a real chance that it is. Um, it just sucks. It really sucks to see a team that had such a good, magical, like impressive season end the way that it seems like it’s going to just because the most random injuries possible pop up at the worst possible moments. And it’s happened a lot throughout history. This just this Cavs team is one that I especially became fond of. I loved watching them. And all season it was, oh, they’re just the 2015 Hawks. They’re not actually that good. They’re frauds. No, that that was never the case. The injuries just popped up. Um, and it really sucks. I mean, I’m really happy for the Pacers, too. I’m happy to see Tyrese Hallebert and prove a lot of people wrong. This is a team that I’ve also really enjoyed watching this season, and a lot of people are calling them frauds last year for making the Eastern Conference Finals. I’m sure if they do that here, it’s again going to be the same argument because the Cleveland Cavaliers got injured, but the Pacers are just a really, really good team. And I’m happy to see Hallebertton and Seakum and Nemar continue to rise up and Benedict Mat and Mern and all these guys like prove people wrong. But I I can’t at the same time not feel heartbroken, that the Cavaliers aren’t getting a chance to prove that they’re not frauds, that they are legitimate, that they were deserving of this one seed, this all-time record, the celebration, the the flowers that they got this season. They were deserving maybe if they were healthy, they still would have lost. Like, that is a real possibility. I just wish, you know, we’re going to get the chance uh to see that, but instead, here we are. They’re down 02. They’re going back to Indiana. They need to get guys back. I think if they don’t, this thing is dead in the water. Hopefully, that is the case. but just in general really really sucks uh for the Cleveland Cavaliers. And I mean, hey, welcome to the the club as a Thunder fan of teams that or fan bases that got to see their teams get their hearts ripped out by a last second three-pointer within the last couple of days after uh some free throw shenanigans. Welcome to the club. It’s it’s populated by shockingly two teams now. Honestly, with the way these playoffs are going, it might be three. It might be four, might be five coming up here soon, which speaking of five, uh road team now 5-0 uh in the first round. second round. I I’m I’m all over the place. Uh that’s never happened before. We’ve never seen the road team in each game one win. We’ve never seen six straight road wins to begin the second round. There’s something in the water with this year’s NBA playoffs where road teams are just underdogs or insanity is just going on. Uh I guess we’ll see if that continues to be the case tomorrow. The Celtics and the Thunder, the favorites, their conferences, can go ahead and erase some of the doubt that is built up around these top level teams. But I mean, for the moment with the Cavs down 02 and everybody else down 01 that was favored in the series. Speaking of that, I will talk about the Warriors versus uh Timberwolves game. Yeah, this one was ugly. I mean, this is kind of the opposite of what we’ve seen a little bit in Cavs Pacers where it’s this beautiful offensive basketball back and forth. Like I said in my video yesterday, you know, heavyweight boxers punching each other in the face. This was like watching two people just like hit each other with baseball bats over and over again. um horrific game from the Minnesota Timber shooting the basketball five of 29 and that’s after they were what like seven of 47 or seven or 41 or something along those lines. I think it was 7 to 47 in their last game against the Lakers and now over eight quarters they’re like 12 for 76 I think that’s the statu which is like the worst three-point shooting stretch for any team over two playoff games ever. It’s not good. It’s not great. Anthony Edwards was really bad in the first half. Turned it up a little bit in the second half. did finish with 23 points, 14 boards, two assists, three steals, but had one point at halftime. You need a lot better from him. Uh Jamie Daniels, 50% shooting, 18 points from Julius Ran, but really inefficient. Three of 11 from Dante Dvenenzo, eight of 14 from Nas Reed. He came back after tweaking his hamstring a little bit, which speaking of hamstrings, Steph Curry leaves this game after 12 minutes and is immediately said to not be coming back. He’s grabbing at his hamstring. They bru him out almost immediately and credit to the Warriors that kept on fighting. They won this game. Another great Buddy Heel game. 24 points plus 22 in an 11-point win. Five threes. Jimmy Butler 20 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists, a near triple double. Draymond Green hit four threes within the first like 18 minutes of the game. Finished with 1886 and two. Eight points from GP2, seven from Jonathan Kaminga including a three, four from Pat Spencer with two steals. He was like legitimately really good in this game. Uh this is where the depth of the Warrior shines. And we’ve talked a little bit on this channel here about how depth feels like it’s more important in the NBA than ever. And you’re seeing it here with the Warriors. Steph Curry leaves and in most cases you’d expect them to just crumple and fall apart completely even though they had a pretty substantial lead when he exited the game. U but they didn’t. They built up on that lead and that was incredibly impressive. Uh they were up by 23 at one point. The Walls did fight back at the end, but it never really felt like the lead was going anywhere. And Golden State gets off to a one- nothing lead. Uh we’ll have to wait and see on what the news is on Steph Curry. He’s supposed to get an MRI tomorrow. I mean Jimmy Butler seemed like he really hard his tip in that one game and he was fine pretty quickly there. So hopefully that is the case for Steph because if they don’t have Steph, I just think this series is over. Alth although maybe maybe it’s not because with the way these playoffs are going, ju just maybe it’s not. Maybe losing Steph Curry just further empowers Buddy Heel to become the greatest player of all time. I I don’t really know anymore. But I do think if if Steph Curry’s gone, they’re probably they’re probably doomed. Uh they’re definitely doomed in the Western Conference Finals, whether it’s the Thunder or the Nuggets coming out. They don’t have Steph Curry even if they win this one, which I don’t think they will do if Steph doesn’t play. So hopefully he’s all good to go. Uh because this is a series that I’m excited for. It’s going to be horrific. ugly basketball. So, if you like that, you’re going to get a lot of that in this series. But, the Wolves have to be a lot better offensively. They played a good defense in this one after a bad defense for five games in the Lakers. And you could tell there was a difference. The offense got really really stagnant really quick. Um, so we’ll see if they’re able to bounce back next game. Ant has to be a lot better. He was also pretty bad in the closeup game against the Lakers. They just they need more out of them. They need more of this Wall team. They’ve got to actually hit threes because if you don’t, you’re not being the Golden State Warriors. Um, but yeah, those my thoughts on the games. Again, Cavs fans, I feel so bad. I really hope guys are able to come back and that the team is able to at least put up a fight in this series at the very least even if they don’t win. Uh, and I guess we’ll have to see on the Steph Curry news. Let me know down below in the comments what your takeaways were from these games. How have you felt about the second round so far? The Cleveland Cavaliers have just fallen to 0-2 in the NBA Playoffs against the Indiana Pacers after a Tyrese Haliburton game winner. It’s a devastating loss that compounds upon the injuries to Darius Garland, Evan Mobley, and De’Andre Hunter which derailed the Cavs in game two. Donovan Mitchell did everything he could, but it wasn’t enough. And now, the Cavs are on the verge of having their dream season ended prematurely. Meanwhile the Golden State Warriors, despite an injury to Steph Curry, won game one on the road vs the Minnesota Timberwolves due to great play from Jimmy Butler, Draymond Green, and Buddy Hield, and a really bad game from Anthony Edwards. Let’s talk about it.

The athleticism of the playoffs has been next level.
stop these narratives none of these are serious injuries if they were tough at least mobley and garland could play haliburton messed up his wrist but played through it and the cavs were still up by 20 in the 3rd Q injuries or not there's no excuse for blowing that
o/u 229.5
I was in absolute shock when Tyrese got his own rebound and ran out to the 3 line
WHAT THE HELLIBURTON GO CERS
does REALLY suck for the cavs! :((
They need Mobley and Garland back, also Okoro
If Tyrese is overrated, than I'm the most popular YouTuber that ever lived!
Tyrese saw those most overrated votes and said ‘bet’ 😤
Nobody realizes Pacers were 3-1 in the regular season against the Cavs
Cavs are definitely frauds
It does suck when a playoff team gets crippled and then loses
I figured the pacers were gonna be tougher than people thought. Cavs choked like we did game 1 🤷♂️
Hope we do better tonight ⛈️💙🙏
I get that you are wanting the Cavs to win an NBA championship without Lebron. This Cavs team is a regular season team. Too tired and too hurt for playoff basketball. They lost by 9, at home, in game 1, only down one starter. They are 1-5 versus the Pacers in 2024-25. Why not show some respect for a Pacer team that is clearly playing playoff basketball and deserves a championship just as much as the Lebron-less Cavs.
This happened to the 1960s Lakers. They would be better than the Celtics, but then Jerry West or Elgin Baylor would get hurt in the playoffs. But the 1960s Celtics were deep and saved it for the playoffs. Except when Bill Russell hurt his ankle in the 1957 playoffs. Wilt Chamberlain won the 1967 Title with the 76ers. But then asked for a trade to the Lakers. (Then got hurt in the 1968 Finals) This set up modern free agency.
I need the Cavs to beat the Celtics 😭
Some of yall fail to realize injuries affect players differently (ex. Kawhi having an ankle injury and Tony Parker coming back way before him). You really think these ultra competitive guys don’t want to play. Especially, when they actually have a legit run in them? Let’s be real..
mitchell is cursed great reg season flamed out/ team in the playoffs
Jarrett Allen and Donovan Mitchell are two all star level players, pacers had two all star level players – but Cleveland had home court, the fact they lost is embarassing. You should be about evenly matched on talent with the injuries and you had home court and you’re down 2-0 and have to win at least 2 road games to win now
This Cavs core is good for another 5 years… a couple of bounces their way, and they will make the Finals in the next few seasons
Cavs need lebron need himoff the lakers
The crazy thing is during the final minutes of the game I opened YouTube while watching and poll popped up asking who would win and I voted Pacers then they completed the comeback…
W cone curse. Cavs in 7
If we lose this series, Darius Garland MUST BE TRADED. Anyone whos gonna reply "oh but this or that" Feel free but I literally dont give a shit. He is the biggest liability among the 4 star guys. Id also rather have the double bigs by keeping Allen
Hey Three Cone i know u are a Oklahoma Thunder fan but who would be your favourite East Coast team?
What if this was the first team to make a 3-0 comeback 🤷
Its a series. Its not over. Cavs will be back.
Nah Tatum is the most overrated now
Regular season success doesn’t guarantee playoff success
Playoff Halliburton is unreal
Agreed
