REPORT: NEW Draft Intel For The New York Jets 2025 Draft Class
[Music] All right, guys. What’s going on? Welcome in. So, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN released an article where he was dishing out different draft intel, little pieces of information for every NFL team. And when it came to the New York Jets, I felt like there was some pretty interesting stuff here. So, let’s dive into it. The first thing he talked about was the first round pick, Armanu. He says, "In the days leading up to the draft, several executives were linking the Jets to offensive tackle Kelvin Banks. The Jets, who were aware of that perception and figured it would be a good smokeokc screen, went with Arman Meu, whose length and football traits remind multiple scouts I trust, of a young Jason Peters. We were fine with people guessing what we’re going to do, said a team source, uh, who added, Meu is is, uh, just scratching the surface of his potential. Yeah, you know, it was interesting, right, in the pre-draft process, it felt like it was either Arman Membu or Tyler Warren. That was the debate amongst Jets fans. That was the debate amongst, you know, different draft insiders, the Mel Kypers, the Daniel Jeremiah’s of the world. And then all of a sudden, we get to the week of the draft and it’s just no one’s talking about Mamboo. Tyler Warren was still in consideration. Um, but the buzz was Jade Baron. the buzz was uh potentially an edge rusher, a Mikel Williams, someone like that, a Jaylen Walker. And of course, as Fowler is alluding to here, Kelvin Banks, right, Rich Seamini was heavy on the Kelvin Banks um not necessarily bandwagon, but that his name didn’t really start popping up until Samini started pushing it. Um but in the end, the Jets wind up with Armand Meu. Fowler goes on to say, "The Jets aren’t overthinking this one. They’re keeping Meu at right tackle, noticing that teams sometimes get in trouble when switching a lineman’s position too often. News flash, playing tackles hard. I mean, what was one of the biggest problems for the Jets young tackles or maybe uh development of younger tackles with this Jets regime over the last four years, right? You’re always kind of looking at these guys playing different positions. I mean, I I hate to sound like a broken record, but every training camp we’re talking about it, right? I I’m coming on doing like the um like the practice recap videos that I’m so excited to film and then I’m seeing tweets from Connor Hughes. I’m seeing tweets from uh Rich Sini, Zack Rosenblad of Oh, Joe Tipman’s playing guard today. Uh Max Mitchell played left tackle yesterday, now he’s playing right tackle today. Mai Beckton, he’s playing on the left side and the right side. Olu fashion who’s playing on the left side and the right side, swapping guys around, moving guys positions. Um, you know, really the goal is, you know, if one guy one guy gets hurt, we need flexibility there. We don’t need to, you know, we’re only signing tackles that can play one position, that means we’re going to have to sign multiple offensive linemen to fill all these different spots. So, I get it from that standpoint. But the reality is if you have a young talented tackle, in the case now with the Jets, you have two young talented tackles in Meu and Olu. Let’s not overthink it. Let’s just ask the question, where have they played the best throughout their college career? What is the position that they feel most comfortable with? And what is the position that they’re going to continue to grow at the best? And the answer is Olu left tackle, Membu right tackle. One of the issues potentially about drafting Kelvin Banks is swapping positions around, right? Again, as Fowler’s bringing up here, the plan is just boom, keep meu at right tackle slides in beautifully. We don’t have to worry about it, right? I’m really really excited to just see what these, you know, what these uh offensive linemen can do in their set positions and there’s no no weirdness about the position swapping. Now, look, if you want to, you know, have a backup swing tackle, sure. If you want to have, you know, maybe like Josh Meyers take reps at guard just in case AVT, who’s been another young player that the Jets have moved around, you know, say Vera Tucker gets hurt, say John Simpson gets hurt, and you want to take, you know, backup snaps with Josh Meyers at guard. That’s that’s fine with me, but I’m not taking the stars of my football team. You know, we can ask the Bills, um, how many how many reps is, uh, Deion Dawkins taking at right guard? How many practices are the Colts lining up Quint Nelson at left tackle? Right. Let’s just keep it status quo. No need to overthink anything. And it seems like that’s exactly what the Jets are going to do. And next up, he brings up Aryan Smith. He says that the Jets are hopeful that fourth round receiver Aryan Smith can curb his drops issue. Expect New York to use him on smoke routes and jet and jet sweeps to utilize his speed early and ease him into the offense. And you know, I know we were just talking about young offensive linemen with the Jets, but you know, an interesting kind of development too that we’ve seen over these last, you know, handful of years. The Jets have really struggled with developing young wide receivers. You know, I know of course the outlier is Garrett Wilson, but at the end of the day, you know, no matter who Garrett was going to be drafted by, he was going to do good things, right? Like such a talented receiver. He’s a top 10 pick. Fantastic at Ohio State. But outside of Garrett, you’re taking a look at the rest of the room, right? Whether it’s Elijah Moore, who didn’t really work out. He just signed with the Buffalo Bills on like a, you know, a super super cheap deal. Um Cleveland, you know, it didn’t really work out there. They didn’t bring him back. Uh Denzel Mims, I believe, is out of football. He was a second round pick that like showed flashes. Obviously last season the Jets were very very very high on Malachi Corley and proceeded to a not really use him and then b when they did you know get him out there he wasn’t really much of that impactful piece. Now how much of that was Hackett? How much of that was Downing? How much that was Rogers? How much of that was Corley himself right not being uh prepared or you whatever the case may be right we don’t have those exact details. So, you know, when we get to the start of the season, uh maybe not so much the start of the season, let let’s say start of preseason, right? If we’re getting positive reports coming out of camp, if we are getting maybe high usage rates in these uh training camp practices with the starters with Malachi Corley in the mix and he’s making plays, coming up with big catches and whatnot, then all of a sudden I’ll be leaning more so, okay, you know what, this coaching staff just, you know, they had no clue, right? the the pri the the previous regime. Like to me, it doesn’t make sense that Joe Douglas had Malachi Corley ranked as the fourth best wide receiver in that class. We trade up to go get him. Supposedly, the Jets have Corley ranked higher than Brian Thomas and Keon Coleman. Uh Xavier Worthy, you know, guy like we all saw what they, you know, those guys did their rookie year and Corley is just like a non-factor in the offense. Again, how much of that was him? how much of that was a misaluation from the front office or the coaching staff. Personally, you know, I’m not going to write him off because the the, you know, the speed, the quickness, the toughness that he showed back at Western Kentucky to me is is is very uh appealing, right? If you’re an offensive minded coach, like, ah man, I want to get this guy the football. You know, of course, we had the the the moment where he dropped the football uh entering the end zone. I believe that was called a touchback or something, which just, you know, it sucked in the moment. And you know, I’m sure it sucked for Corley in that moment having to deal with it. That was like his first t like first big big play at the NFL level, but it is what it is, right? It’s the next chapter. It’s it’s a new year with a new staff and a new scheme. Let’s go out and and kind of make that impact. But going back to Aryan Smith here, you know, man, if if this guy can actually develop, if if we have a coaching staff in place that can actually develop young wide receivers, look at Jameson Williams with Detroit. Starts off a little rocky, starts off with a lot of drops. Now we’re seeing a more consistent version of Jameson Williams. Ahmed Ross St. Brown, fourthround pick. And ironically enough, we actually just saw the lines trade up in the draft for a receiver out of Arkansas, Isaac Tesla, who, you know, is kind of been labeled as this athletic guy, this high upside guy, but doesn’t really have a lot of production in the SEC. So, is there maybe a method to the madness to the Lions see something in in uh, you know, a guy like that? So, it should be interesting to see how this young wide receiving room plays out because all these guys are really young. I mean, even you’re talking about, you know, adding someone new like um, you know, the talk right now is Romeo Dobs. Romeo Dobs is a young player. Chris Olive, he’s a young player. Even if the Jets went out and signed Gabe Davis, he’s still a relatively young player. So, you know, there’s got to be a premium on the development of wide receivers, especially with Justin Fields at the helm, right? He needs to develop, too. Yes, of course, there’s going to be bumps along the way. There’s going to be speed bumps, for sure. you know, we can’t expect A+ performances every single week in a first year regime with a first year quarterback. Um, but I will say this is the time to iron out those things. This is the time to, you know, if you have a question mark, if you have maybe a red flag coming into the season, uh, or sorry, coming into training camp, now is the time to figure out how you’re going to deal with those potential issues. So, let me know your thoughts down below in the comments section. Thanks so much for watching. I appreciate it. And as always, go Jets. [Music]

No messing around this year with signing our picks. Another Mougey win!!
First draft this front office was quite good of all the different smoke screens they put up. Sure, I wish they went different at WR there or went with someone like CJ West for a big stuffer, but we aren't winning the SB this year and need to finish off some areas to then move to others. I honestly think the UDFA class this year will be better than a lot of people expect in certain positions like the DL.
Thank you very much for your fascinating videos. They always add positivity to my day.🐼🥩🏒

An unfathomable waisting of resources. Mougeys first draft will easily clear this with much fewer total draft points to use lmao
If Smith can fix the drops, the Jets got a true weapon on the offense. It's gonna be on him and the coaching staff to fix that. We need a deep threat other than Garrett on this offense.
Been reading updates from Rookie Minicamp.
Coach Glenn has been in the offensive huddle very often today. He said he would be involved in the offense. I figured he'd keep his word but it's nice to see confirmation. Already showing how different he is compared to Saleh on the field with his team.
I can see Corley popping this season. I don’t think Saleh’s regime knew how to properly utilize him. He of course had his rookie mistakes like the dropped TD run but with the new coaching staff we have I believe he will definitely be a strong part of this offense.
Thank you for your contribution to the world of online entertainment. Your videos are always uplifting.🌃👄🟡
when the word hopeful is used, it means definitively that the desired result does NOT exist.. If this batch of new coaches, ( and then jets are god awful at reading the room for coaching talent_ ) and the specifically take a receiver for the trait of speed… they better as hell know how to teach.. IF they can't teach.. its another wasted receiver draft pick.. which have piled up over the years enough to make 15 high school teams… and they were about at the level by the way. watch what they say over the summer. . it will tell a tale of what we will see on the field,
Oh, man. When you mentioned Hackett's name, I felt a cold chill run down my spine. Thank the Lord he is no longer a part of this organization.
I think there will be a good receiver or 2 that will shake loose after final cuts. Or there will be a veteran WR who was unable to sign for what they wanted looking for a 1 year prove it deal.
I don't want the Jets to make a trade for another average receiver. Right now It's Wilson, Lazard and Reynolds/Johnson/Corley. But who knows what rookies like Smith and Miller will show in camp.
Can we get Christian Watson instead of Doubs? We might be able to keep him healthy and get a lot more productivity
Hot Take: Adam case was a better coach than saleh. Saleh had way more talent and still couldn’t even do anything
I think Arian Smith could be the steal of the draft. Prior to the season where he had a lot of drops, he didn't have a problem with catching the football. Aaron Glenn is a great coach that puts belief in his players and I think that would be the solution to the drops.
I really think the Corely thing has to do with us having an incredible overcrowded WR room last year and him possibly having a tough transition to the NFL.
I can’t even wipe my ass with my left hand. I couldn’t imagine switching sides at the NFL level

Corley is going to have a good year and I am excited to see how the OC uses him. I think the drops with Smith are a bit over blown. Some of those were also poorly thrown balls from Beck. Others were lack of concentration which we have seen from other receivers as well. He just needs to keep working and dont allow the naysayers to get into his head.
Another young receiver I am excited to see in camp is Quentin Skinner out of Kansas. 6'4 200 pounds, who seems like a poor man's version of Mike Williams.
You cannot understate how bad the saieh era was…and if I hear about the 'elite' defense I will barf.
Outside the defense his staff couldnt develop anyone, they were horrible. MLF is a scheme guy but as an OC/ coach he is not there, not even gonna talk about the rodgers butt buddies.
Then too we had doing things out of fear. The musical lineman was ridiculous, in camp they never had a starting o line playing in their positions. It is okay to have backups learn other positions, but no starters. That was keith carter, that was 100% salehs doing.
Then to absolutely not playing starters in pre season games bc you are afraid of injuries, not even a couple of quarters. Result? Jets were a disorganized mess in the early season and never caught up.
We can only hope with glenn snd co, that they have a handle on coaching up players, that they do what they say about team over player, about accountability. When someone like a clemmons gets a stupid penalty, i want to see his butt on the bench. If the team has to take a timeout for 12 men on the field or game clock penalties, I want to see Glenn pissed off and giving it to the coaches and players ( not saying on the sidelines, but we know saleh did jack shit).
I want to see rookies actually developing, where they actially play, not the saleh's version of a union shop, where most expensive player plays. If Corley is not good enough to play, put him on the practice squad or cut him.
For me I.dont expect the Jets to be the 2024 DC team, I expect growing pains, mistakes, even at times poor coaching. What I am looking for is improvement, where mistakes happen, then they disappear. With the prior regimes you saw the aame mistakes day 1 and in year 2 and 3. Not to mention I want to see adjustments, scheme to fit the players, game situation. Under saleh there were no adjutments, if the scheme failed he would make excuses . His ' give credit to the other team' is admitting your coaching sucked ( i really, really hope AG never uses that, at least only in a real dogfight game against a tough opponent who barely beat you, not losing to a crap team with a crap qb.)
Myself I am less concerned with the record than with the trend, that I see jets getting stronger, better each week. If they play a juggernaught team fighting for something late in the season , and it is close, not gonna worry if they lose ( unlike like last year when Jets won games late in the season against teams that had nothing to play for and Rodgers used to burnish his stats).
FYI Denzel Mims was playing in the UFL.
I think it was a great draft! They took players that PLAYED a lot in college: 3/4 year starters , captains , LEADERS, and also winners !! We need to add winning mentality to the locker room and changing the culture and I believe this draft class will lay the true foundation for that.
100 percent agree with you I'm happy that the offensive line finally gets to play their true position instead of bouncing all around
Better offense line = more time for the wrs, backs and te to get open… would be nice to see them run the Brady NE style offense utilizing gw in the slot, Davis and hall out the backfield catching the screens and the long awaited receiving TE! future looks bright!! Not to forget the running ability of the qb. Geez, they have weapons all over this offense… wait, they even have a deep threat! Wow, this draft makes so much sense
Free Malaki….Let him COOK!!!!
There is no consistency playing musical chairs with the offensive line.
Like the take on keeping them at their tackle spots let them get as many reps in their spots as possible
The Jets have not only done a poor job developing WRs but Garrett Wilson has not been able to exploit his full potential.
