If the A’s could maintain a physical location their Google review score would be lower than a Jiffy Lube
I tried to tell a few friends who asked me to get in a plan with them – I said, It ain’t worth it. Now they’re stuck with not being able to sell tickets or when they do at the most they’re getting $20-25
I warned ya.
Bro said is there any way to remedy the situation 😭😭😭😭😭. FYI he can donate them to a organization and write off the value for certain games in his taxes. Other than that he screwed
People are absolutely delusional lol
Buncha rubes thought buying season tickets for a rinky dink franchise owned by an incompetent moron was a good investment.
So….they went in early, bought tickets, expecting to flip some to effectively make them free, and they’re complaining?
What do they think contacting the season ticket rep is going to do, other than laugh after?
Who pays $24k for season tickets?
We warned Sac fans. Honestly the best case scenario is that Fisher fleeces them for public funds for a ballpark. No thanks.
Yeeesh. Life lesson for ya, buyer beware. I would recommend anyone spending 24k on ANYTHING maybe do a little more research?
Like… why is a major league team playing in a minor league field? …for example.

People like this are why ticket costs are so high across sports. A they drive up prices for 1st hand tickets by creating artificial demand. Frankly I’m happy to see them losing their shirt with this backfire.
Plus it’s not like Oakland fans didn’t warn them. Fisher and his product are trash.
Imagine “investing” in a Fisher run org lol
this guy spent $23k on season tickets
24K?!?!?!?!?!?!
HAHAHAHA
he must have the brain of an amoeba to not realize this was going to be an unmitigated disaster.
Anyone who fell for this scheme deserves every bit of pain they are feeling
Wasn’t there also a clause about a three year minimum commitment for buying tickets or until the team moved or something like that? This guy is going to be screwed for multiple seasons.
My take on season tickets is the holders need to be comfortable with 100% of the money being gone and assume they are going to every game themselves or giving them away. There is no guarantee they maintain or gain value. Ohtani might be injured or LeBron might rest the night their team is in town and the value drops due to something out of the season ticket holders control.
If someone shells out 24 grand on tickets and then needs to hustle to get it back, that’s not an investment… that’s work.
I feel bad for fans being bent over by a franchise, but come on man… did he not see the risk?
File this in the “You were more than adequately warned” file.
If only all the Oakland fans warned all the dorks in Sac what was coming…. Oh wait
I thank people like him every time I buy tickets on secondary market. Saves me money E V E R Y time.
I remember this happened with people who bought Chargers season tickets when they played in the 30,000 seat soccer stadium. They paid insane prices thinking people would buy the tickets at an even higher price, only for that not to happen at all.
Never buy tickets as an investment, folks.
Poor OP – first he gets fleeced by the A’s and is now spending his Friday morning getting whacked on the head over and over. You could sell those Yankees tix and get a few bucks back.
First time?
That is 100% his fault for wanting to make season tickets a side-hustle. Either go to 30 or 40 games or stfu
As someone that has owned season tickets to multiple sports in different cities I’ve lived, unless you plan to attend the games or sell/give them to friends and family. It’s almost never a wise investment. In baseball, the popular games are Friday/Saturday night. Anything else you’re pretty much sell for Pennie’s on the dollar. Sure you can get a premium selling when your team plays the big market clubs but those are also the games you want to go to. This is an A’s issue. It’s true for almost every team.
You didn’t have to sell any games. You bought tickets to attend every home game. If you can’t go to the game, that’s on you. Be grateful for what you get back for them.
Most predictable take of all time, who could’ve possibly seen this coming? 🙄
H…..and I cannot stress this next part enough…..AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
#FJF
BTW, rn, cheapest seats for Sunday are lawn at $85.
Off topic, but would any other season ticket holders or anyone attending games want to use my drive way for parking. I wouldn’t mind selling for half of what the A’s parking is going for. I live in the garden park area of the bridge district and have an unused driveway during games.

Idiots who thought they could be successful scalpers. The reason they bought season tix is because a bunch of Kings fans like myself made bank selling our tickets during the first beam season. They wrongly assumed they’d be able to do the same for the A’s here and bought into the fomo. This is me speaking as a Kings fan who let his season tix lapse due to rate increases after the sorriest season of basketball I’ve seen in years. For some dumb reason people were still lining up to become season ticket members and I guarantee they will also lose tons of money next year when fans don’t care about going to see Zach Lavine and an 11 seed Kings team.
Talking about it like a failed investment strategy instead of talking about their personal relationship to the team/colors. What a schmuck
24k??????
lol…..
The ‘I told you so part’ is very fair, but radicalizing the season ticket holders against Fisher is super important to tanking the short term viability of Sac. Hope these stories are getting effectively aggregated and published!
This has to be chalked up to lessons learned. My advice would be sell the premium opponent game to minimize your loss. Then maybe donate remaining tickets to a charity and take the deduction. Sounds like next year season ticket sales maybe not as robust.
Usually for well run organizations, season tickets are sold at a premium because of the additional perks that come with them. I knew damn well those prices were ridiculously bloated, and Fisher was looking to just fleece as many fans as possible up front before having to slash prices for single game tickets after the fact. I feel like all the red flags and warning signs were there, but some folks found MLB in Sacramento too, alluring to hang back and wait…
“What we can do to remedy the situation” 🤣🤣🤣
This is why people literally said NOT to buy season tickets…
Dude who buys 24,000$ worth or minor league baseball tickets
You don’t buy season tickets to make money, you buy season tickets to have guaranteed attendance to something you enjoy.
Original OP got mad there wasn’t enough hype to make a profit on their purchase. Went in with the wrong mindset and got burned. Sucks to suck?
You speculated and lost…
Suckers. I knew it would be a disaster. I almost did the season ticket/psl deal when the Raiders came back to Oakland. That was a cluster fuck too. Saved me a ton of money.
There’s a sucker born every minute.
In Sac today for some fun and noticed the Yankees were in town. Ooh, I gotta see how pricey those seats must be going for on the secondary market. Gotta be NUTS, right?!
$60. To see the defending AL Champs with the superstar who’s local. Good seats, too!
Man, what a disaster this all is for them. Oh well. Tots and Pears. FJF.
There’s awesome seats for this weekend against the YANKEES going for $70
