Jokić: “Our defense was really good and I think that’s why we won the game… I need to figure out what [the Thunder] is doing. Basically I was the worst player on the court today but we won the game and that’s most important.”

  1. Hell yeah, brother. I know it’s basic of me, but I like it when the star player acknowledges stuff like this

  2. Playoff basketball is tough, hoping for a game where he and Shai both go for 40 and battle it out

  3. Still clutched up 4 points in OT. Still my MvP carried Nuggets all season deserved to be carried by the team tonight.

  4. I have to say, I did not expect Denver to even win 2 against OKC after their season. This dude is insane

  5. Biggest myth in the basketball world right now is that you can always exploit Denver’s defense because of Jokic. Pffft

  6. Ngl OKC did play Jokic tough here too, he had like 7 TO right? That’s okc doing a decent job in stretches

  7. When that team of old heads meet at the local family fitness gym and waxes all the young thundercats on the court.

  8. I don’t think there’s much to figure out you’re 8/14 from 2 and 0/11 from 3 just stop chucking 3s and keep backing them down

  9. Jokic gets double team almost every time he touches the ball

    Its insane

  10. I love that we have no idea who is going to win the NBA championship. Or who is even going to be in the finals.

  11. Turns out, it’s really hard to score on a zone defense if your team shoots 25% from 3. I don’t like it lol.

  12. Jok has always loved the game. He realized in America we need don’t believe unless they vocalize it.

  13. If he wins a dominant game 4 I’m going to be so impressed that I might finally buy some overpriced nba merch.

  14. Hes not wrong, but mainly because of CB, he locked the shit out of SGA in 4thQ and OT

  15. Second time in history where the coach-to-player assessment talk will take place in a mirror

  16. I get the feeling with Jokic, this year more than any other he wants to win the championship. Sportsmen from outside the US tend to care little for personal accolades, they only want the championship. Not saying the US stars don’t, just that they seem content to be celebrated as individual players.

  17. The Nuggets have been outscored by 41 points in regulation (+2, -43, 0) and are up 2-1 in the series. And they have yet to have *the Jamal flurry game* and Jokic has been bad for 2/3 games and Porter is playing with 1 arm.

For the past 5-6 years the Nuggets have always been the team that’s dangerous when healthy and clicking, the problem has been they could never stay healthy. The fact that they’re doing *this* to a 68-win team is bonkers

  18. “I need to figure out what they’re doing…..”

Damnz it really is Nikola Coachic

  19. MPJ hitting shots is a what let them win. He’s so beat up and his back is full of hardware. Crazy he can still play.

  20. How many games has the guy carried them with video game stats in the regular season? He is entitled to a stinker. His teammates lifted him up, leveled up and won the game.

Doesn’t bode well for the Thunder for game 4 but the games have been competitive, so you never know.

  21. I’m really enjoying Denver being in the other side of the bracket this year so I can just enjoy this man for a bit

  22. SGA and Jokic were both terrible, but SGA’s gave worries we away more. He was taking shots he didn’t take all year and looked rattled. Jokic mostly just felt like he was getting his normal shots and they didn’t fall. That happens

  23. The Nuggets TEAM showed me a lot yesterday

If they can play like that when Jokic is on, I don’t know who’s beating them

  24. Stark contrast from LeBron and his “we didn’t win because there are 8 other guys on the floor besides Luka and me.”

  25. If they can win with Jokic playing bad the Thunder could be fucked lol

  26. Not a nuggets fan, but man I hope this guy wins another ring. Generational player, love watching him play.
