4. Mock drafts are whatever. But if you’re wondering what kinds of players could be picked in our area, they’re a decent starting point. They combine overall prospect rankings with the needs and tendencies of the drafting teams.

   Every mock draft will have misses, but Pronman is fairly well regarded in the prospect realm.

6. Awful. Take Mrkta if he’s there.

7. A lot of mocks have us drafting Radim Mrtka, and this was when we were picking 6 and now picking 8. I have nothing against Mrtka but it feels like he’s being mocked to us due to convenience. Since we haven’t drafted a Defensemen in the 1st and Mrtka plays in the Krakens backyard, makes it an easy guess. I say best available, regardless of position.

8. Schaefer gotta make like Shane Wright and fall to us in the draft

10. I was all for taking a D first last year, because I was intrigued by Buium and Parekh (and still think passing on both was a mistake). But every draft is different and Mrtka isn’t in that class. I don’t believe they should be reaching to meet a positional need. They need high end talent. Take the BPA.
