  1. I need to get back into going to concerts. If nothing else, it’d give the mod haters of this board a legitimate reason to push me around IRL.

  2. Woo, rookie pitcher making his debut! This can only go two ways: we rock him for 7 runs or we get dominated for 7 innings.

  3. Fun game last night. Just wish the Royals were on the right side.

On the minor league side: Ben Kudrna and Jac Caglianone play at 11 am Kauffman time. Kudrna is looking to get back on track after a rough start to his season.

Columbia has not listed a starter for today. Hopefully we will see David Shields make his affiliate debut.

  4. We may have lost last night but at least Pete Rose didn’t play for us

  5. At some point, likely sooner rather than later, we’re going to need to figure out the plan for Groshans. He had a great ST, dominated AA, and is performing very well in AAA. He’s a former first round pick and only 25. He’s got pedigree for sure. That said, he only plays 3B, so we’ve got a bit of a logjam going on since the organization isn’t playing him anywhere else so far (other than DH). I think the only way we can make it happen, though is if we DFA Renfroe, keep Maikel in RF, option Massey, move India back to his natural position at 2B, elevate Canha to an everyday player and put him in at LF, then put Groshans at 3B. It’s a lot, but I think it’s worth it to get his bat in the lineup everyday. If Peyton Wilson were performing better at AAA this would be a lot easier.

Edit: I forgot about John Rave. If we DFA’d another player, *cough*Cavan Biggio*cough*, we could add him to the 40 man as well. And just to be clear, Groshans would be taking Renfroe’s spot on the 40 man.
