NHL Game 5 Highlights | Panthers vs. Maple Leafs – May 14, 2025
names in what was statistically the Leaf’s best goalending performance of the playoffs. Tonight’s starting lineup brought to you by Diamond and Diamond Lawyers, Canada’s largest personal injury lawer is something positive to build off. David Camp on the draw. Sam Bennett wins it. Kachchuck trying to play it to the net that bounced into the corner. Camp playing in his first game since April 2nd. Nate Smith puts it right on goal. Loose puck knocked away. Here’s Max Doy absorbing the hit from Bennett. Sending it back to the line for Tanv. Robertson checks back in. Mave’s got room out in front of the net. Doby with a whack at it with a back hand. Stopped. Knocked past him that Florida’s going to get out. Barkov ahead and here comes a chance for Verhi. And he wins that off the post. A good outlet pass there by Bararkov with speed to Verhagi. And how about this curl and drag around the stick of William Knander and that one for Hegy leading Florida in points in the series with five. And that goal turned out to be the 11th game winner of his postseason career. Here’s Lelle testing wall and a puck cleared from the front of the net by Pati. Back it comes to lost to Knander. He’s in. William Knander has Babski the stop. This is a tough play to make as the pass comes and right into his feet. Great job by Knander poking it through and then focusing on skating early and now Greer turns back. Little flip out of center ice. Tried to come out with it but knocked away by McCabe. In on that far side is Pquist. His bad angle shot bounced in front. Pquist taking the spot of Evan Rodriguez. on the top line tonight. Rodriguez shaken up on the hit by Ekan Larson. Here comes a tip Reinhardt. Blah with an outlet. Matthew bounced off the puck. Here’s Erin Ecklad shooting and it’s lockered away by Wall. Bennett with the recovery. That bounces across the high slot and Ben up with it there. He takes a go from Eklad again. Wo venturing out, plays it around. Lorent off the board, but that’s knocked down. Here’s a shot by Kachin. Wol the result is here tonight. Plug over the line following up and Wall Florida able to play it ahead. And here’s Speedy Bquist. And that’ll be shrugged away by Wall. Rebound Reinhardt and another. And Wall just got the end of the stick on that. Joseph Wall has been sharp so far. He’ll be tested again perhaps. And that shot scores. Aaron Ecklad has opened the scoring for the Panthers. Well, there’s an example of just winning all the loose puck battle to rest. A lot of speed through the neutral zone again. Bus gets that first shot on goal. The rebounds in play. How about Reinhardt out of midair knocks that one. But then it’s the loose puck battles. You got three Leafs against one and it’s Barkov who wins the first battle. Morgan Riley can’t get control. A nice little bounce back there by Reinhardt. He knows he can’t control the puck. Eklad just puts it to an area up and over the shoulder of wall. There is tied up once again. Up along the boards. It comes loose for Martyr. in front of the net. Michael revski got across and robbed Matthew. Nice. Here’s the best chance. A little bit of a waffler puck, but watch him get it the pad right inside the post. Not even just back to the post, but made sure got it anchored on the inside and slid right zone. Florida got their transition game going and they got some speed there. And you’ve got to try to turn that. I think for the Maple Leafs just being down by one is a David Camp on the move. Looks required. Dander fired that off the shoulder of Babroski. Camp works off the post. That would fired off the post. Coming right down the middle there is and now Matthew Kachuk knocked down with a high stick by Benois. Bhagy up with it. Benn it across and here’s Kachchuck. Nate Smith, the one-time Kolov scores off the stick and another Florida defenseman has scored. It’s two nothing Panthers and there’s nobody in front of Wall here just Bennett keeps the alive. The battle by Kachchuck gets it to the point and no chance for Wall on that one as Lton almost maybe thought that he could get that with his stick the whole way but the power of that shot just buckled it and puts it up and over the elbow of Joseph Wall Larson around. Here’s Marner on this right side swinging up to center. Unable to connect and Reinhardt back in with Boquist in front and scores Jasper Boquist and it’s three nothing Florida. Well, this place is about as quiet as so a no look back and pass that creates three guys trapped in the middle. How about the patience of Bennett there just waiting and waiting and he goes side or sorry Reinhardt there he’s looking surveying what’s the option gets his opportunity to go up with the top line with Rodriguez out and you tape to tape pass underneath the toe of Joseph Wall and just like that it’s a three nothing game trying to get something going here look at Mika indeed for Florida 606 left here in the Tanm trying to work it ahead. He’s checked. Fired back. Mola scores. Another defenseman goal for the Florida Panthers. Deal with Jones’s stick. But another turnover in the zone. You know, the pressure of Florida right now is just wreaking havoc. And this is one for Joseph Wall. He got to have it. I mean, that that’s one nobody in front. and the Panthers bench to is to show that your will is there and your battle is there. This is a really important period for the Toronto Maple. I mean, whether you win the game or are able to come back or not, you’ve got to find some positives can change in a playoff series. It’s knocked down by NY’s trying to charge in. Matthew Ny stops the rebound stop and a penalty coming up. Certainly one of those guys who got brings the energy. Good job of pressuring here. Knocks it out of midair. Uses his speed to the outside to get inside position on Nikola. But how about Babski again knows that N is getting pressure. There’s the stick into the hand area. That’s the call. Marian rolling it through. Kachchuck to the net off the post and up onto the netting. But here’s his best chance to game his own little support pass. Tries to go short side up and out. 16 games without a goal for Kachchuck against the Maple Leaf. Shot 2524 for the Visitors. The shot count doesn’t tell the story here tonight. That one knocked out in front. Scores. And now it’s a fivegoal Florida lead. as that one took a bite out of Jake McCabe in front. You can see McCabe reacting as it hit him. Another icing call as the fourth line that was put together in game three. All three join the lineup. And here’s the shot through. Yeah, you can see McCabe Tanv looking up thinking of a high stick. Let’s have a look as this one goes through the deflection. Oh, it wasn’t a high stick. It was the puck. And how about Greer on the doorstep? 29 and 21 in his Stanley Cup playoff career. Here’s a chance. Bennett scores. Make it six. And it’s a power play goal for Florida. Now, it’s the battle for the loose puck again. And this time off for faceoff. You know, it’s a 50/50 play here. And you can see Exclad and Marshon get there at the same time. I think they both get a piece of the puck and it pops. right to Bennett on his own and red line and fires it in. Doi, Lorent, and Robertson. Back to Riley. Shot tipped by Doy up high. Stayed in play. Lorent. Doy centers. Robertson scores. Shot out. Gets broken. And Dick Robertson in the offensive zone for the Leafs. A bouncing puck. Robertson gets himself to the front of the net. Just a little cycle. Dolby back and through the legs of good fraing pass. First playoff goal for Nick Robertson since the bubble in his first NHL goal against the Columbus Blue Jackets. And Babroski comes 66 seconds away from being the first Panther goender across. Doesn’t look like they’re going to even try and attempt a shot to add to the totals tonight. It goes into the books as a thorough 61 [Music]
Sam Reinhart dished out a pair of assists, Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 31 shots on the night, and the Florida Panthers crushed the Toronto Maple Leafs 6-1 to take a 3-2 series lead.

I really donβt get it. Team has long tradition. Great hockey city. Solid rosterβ¦β¦ and they play like dog π©
if you can't learn how to clear your own zone at the NHL level, you deserve to LOSE
The Toronto fans whining that the Leafs have no superstars and always fail should start with themselves. What a pathetic atmosphere after the first goal against. You want a top team? Then start being top fans even when things aren't going well.
Did I just hear the song Deadwood at 8:00?
Why do people even watch this team in the playoffs- they are bound to lose no matter what.
Cats got Leafs covered in every position.
1st line even (or Leafs), 2nd line Cats, depth Cats, 1st D pair Cats, D depth Cats, goalie Cats.
0-0 in the 1st period and that Arena sounds like a Funeral.
The Cats gave the Leafs a bath
The Panthers are the champs for a reason.
As much as I don't like the Leafs, it would be really sweet to stick it to certain people in the US by having 3 of 4 conference finals spots taken up by Canadian teams. Their both in tough, but the Jets and Leafs still have a life left. This one was a real head scratcher though, laying an egg on home ice in the biggest game of the year. They should have been flying.

Can't wait to see maple laughs square
Ha ha. Panthers thought they were gonna shut the Leafs out two games in a row. Not happening. Take THAT Florida.
The Loafs have had so many memorable embarrassments, but this one probably tops them all.
Hey leafs fans, Edmonton won tonight and eliminated Vegas in 5β¦ oh, right sorry, you guys got hammered 6 0 and likely will get eliminated next game and be out in 2 rounds like always.

Leafs are garbage
Bob again is clutch in when it matters. Stopping some great chances from Toronto. R.I.P. the shutout.
