I’d consider John Tavares, if he doesn’t resign, over Marner. #16 can keep making dumb spin o rama break out passes and even worse defensive coverage on the following odd-man rush for the Maple Leafs all he wants there. CBJ doesn’t need that

Its been 9 years now of him not showing up for the most important games. Let some other team make the mistake of signing him for $14M+ per season.

Only two playoff teams outscored us by more than 4 goals this year but all of them except Montreal had 30+ fewer goals given up.

After that spin blind backhanded pass in his own zone down 2-0, I’ll pass. Absolute bone headed play to make. Im of the opinion he would not get us more wins. And we see how he performs in the playoffs for when we get back there. His terrible flashy play has resulted in goals against the past 3 games. We can’t have that.
Honestly the entire FA class is just full of future bad contracts. Boeser, Bennet, Ekblad and more. The only one I think could actually age well is Ehlers. I think we could get a little short term help that way but I wouldn’t be comfortable giving anyone 4+ years.
