Sounds like 2021 7th rounder Daniil Pylenkov might finally be eyeing a move to North America this offseason. He’s a very solid KHL defenseman. Over 300 games of KHL experience at just 24 years old.
This could explain passing on Alex Gagne—which was somewhat of an odd move considering the state of the organization’s defensive depth.

Edit: Of course this could have meant a number of other things. They signed Astous out of the Swiss league. Max Groshev is now a defensemen too. Both LD like Gagne.
