They probably keep changing their tune on who/what they're looking for in a coach because Jacobs can't wrap his mind around paying MARKET VALUE for a coach.
Hell no on Marner. When push comes to shove (especially in the playoffs) he shy’s away from the physical play and thusly is incapable of getting a greasy goal. He wouldn’t be a favorite of Cam.
Whether fans want Marner or not, I don’t think the Bruins would ever give that type of player a big contract in Free Agency.

As a Leaf fan who doesn't really like Boston very much, not going to lie, you guys have destroyed us so many times in the playoffs….. but Mitch Marner you'll love him at first He's So Graceful with his Edge work and how he can see the ice it almost seems like he's got 24 eyes in his head but what you're going to find out very quickly is anytime there's any kind of confrontation, you see Chuck giving him a hard time in this series it has thrown him completely off his game, he has no heart.
And seriously guys for Boston fans with somebody like Jack Edwards calling games and you're saying Leaf fans are the worst? LOL come on give your nuts a tug boys

No, they should sign Brad Marchand.
Marner already is struggling in the Toronto atmosphere. How is Boston going to help that? He will be roasted with another season where he disappears in the playoffs. It will not be pretty.
