Dallas Stars vs Winnipeg Jets Game 6 Recap 5-17-25

All right, Pan Panther fans, hockey fans, here we Jeez, you can tell what’s on my mind. So, Dallas, Winnipeg, um I’m going to um what’s what how am I going to put this? I don’t want the Panthers and Leafs to be the only game seven. That’s really the only reason I have tonight for wearing the Dallas jersey but rooting for Winnipeg because I just don’t want Panthers and Leafs to be the last game of the second round. Either way, what are we going to see on the ice tonight? Well, Winnipeg obviously President’s Trophy, they have exercised most of the demons. They get through the first round. They’ve done really well here in the second round. Obviously, they’re not winning in the series, but they’ve done enough, I would think, to um to move past the label of choker. On the other side of that, Dallas has just really just been consistently good for most of the games and all the games that they’ve played this year. They’ve had a couple of down ones, but they they pretty much have been flatlined. Not too great, not too bad. And that’s how you end up winning championships. Not that I think they’re going to beat my Panthers in the finals after we beat the Leafs tomorrow, game seven, because the alternative to Florida not winning tomorrow is this sign gets tossed like a Frisbee. We like the matches. Pitch works. I’ll be fine. So, no overtime tonight. Could you do me that solid, please? It was stressful last night. It was very stressful last night. I’m still stressed. You understand what I’m saying? So, no overtime tonight. Nice tight game. And if there’s going to be a game-winning goal like with two minutes left like they did with Washington and Canes, could it could it be like a a great play, a great goal, not something that the cameras, five cameras can’t even hardly pick up where the hell the puck went in the net? Twoon one, a breakaway, a penalty shot. How about a game-winning goal as the penalty shot late in the third period? Ooh. If if that happens, I’m going to have to prove I’m gonna have to prove that I did this before the game because nobody will believe if I got that right. All right, let’s see how this [Music] goes. All right, so no score after one. Looks a little bit like last night’s game where both teams getting chances but can’t quite put the puck in the back of the net. Hells had to make a couple of saves. I think they hit a I think Winnipeg hit a post. They’re showing all the stats of how bad Hella Buck’s been on the road and how they haven’t won a game and everything like that. But for one period, they look decent. Dallas had the better of the play. A little bit better of the play. Had a few more chances. Which one of these two teams is going to hold? Let’s [Music] see. All right. So, now we’re tied up. Come on. That snap my arm. All right, guys. A little bit better. We’re tied in one after one. Mark Shley, whose father passed away last night, collects the rebound, puts it five hole. And then not too much longer, Sam Steel ties it up for Dallas. And I have a feeling I have a feeling that after this segment of the video, instead of hearing the song, you will hear Matias. We’ll just put it that way. This This has overtime written all all over it. Both teams playing well, goalie’s playing well. And now the best thing about this game right now is the refs ain’t calling nothing. Nothing. Like you could probably like just take the pick stick and just like start whacking a guy over the head. I don’t think they call it. They be like, “Well, I don’t see nothing. I don’t see nothing.” So, it’s a good sign if we get to game seven especially. I like I prefer it like this when the refs just just let them play. Just let them play. Let the play get decided however they need to do it. All right, let’s see how this goes. We are going to penalty shot. That should have been a penalty shot. Now, if you haven’t watched the whole video, go back and watch the beginning of the video and you’ll understand why I care that that should have been a penalty shot. Messier is saying in most cases that would have been a penalty shot and it would have been it’s not a penalty shot because of the circumstances of the of to decide the series but so I feel I feel jilted. I feel robbed. I feel robbed. That said, Dallas has a buck 40 of um I can’t believe it. I saw I saw the breakaway happen and then the trip happened and I’m screaming at the TV like it’s a Panther game. It’s a penalty shot. And Kyle’s like wondering why I’m panicked. I’m like, Kyle, I said at the beginning of the video in the recap, [ __ ] Oh my god. I got I got jabbed. I got jabbed. I got jabbed. Jed jibbed. I got robbed. So hopefully this ends early enough in overtime. Let Dallas score on on the power play here cuz Oh my god. Wow. Wow. All right, let’s see how this goes. That was quick. That was real quick. Dallas wins it. Shyley in the box crying cuz dad passes last night and other 55. Harley wins it for Dallas. And just just kind of gut-wrenching, heart-wrenching way to see a guy contribute to his team losing, right? It wasn’t his fault the right way. It wasn’t his fault. And you got to wonder if maybe the fact that it was him, if that contributed at all to the refs not calling it a penalty shot. I mean, you would think it wouldn’t, but humans are humans. So, Dallas moves on. So, it’s Dallas Edmonton and now tomorrow we find out the rest of the story. The rest of the championship story. Good job, Dallas. Winnipeg man just not quite not and you can’t blame it. I mean, hell played a hell of a game tonight. He made some saves. Otter made a save very similar to that of the bobbery from Barski last year that probably saved the game cuz who knows if Dallas would have been able to come back and tie that up and just did not have just just didn’t have that little edge and it’s stuff like that. I mean, you know, you got to go back and rewatch, you know, the breakaway is supposed to be a penalty shot and all of that. Fine. But what led to that? what what mistake what what what mistake was made? Was it just a really good pass? You know, they didn’t show the beginning of that play again. So, it makes me curious what happened there. But other than that, good series. Would have liked to have seen seven. I hate to see Shyley be the guy that ends up in the box when it goes out. It’s just just a bummer for him. But Dallas, Edmonton, obviously we will be there. People have asked me what happens if the Panthers lose. nothing changes. We’ll still be streaming the games, doing the recaps. It just won’t be for the Panthers, and I won’t be wearing uh I won’t be wearing any leaf colors, you know what I mean? Cuz I like to wear jerseys or hats for the teams that we’re covering. So, we have a Kane’s jersey and we have a Kane’s hat just in case Kyle and I will have to pick the rare time where we root for the same team in a series, but it’s not over. We got a game seven. gonna have a little bit of content out tomorrow talking about that before the game. We’ll not be live at noon tomorrow. I’m going to put out something and we’re just going to go dark and then we’ll see you tomorrow night for game seven and then I’m sure the Western Conference will start first. Western Conference Championship will start first and be ready for that. And now, you know, you’re just down to four teams and it gets crazy. It’s beautiful but crazy. type. We’ll see you tomorrow.
