What I don’t understand is their offensive break-in, dump the puck in, turn it over. Well I guess that’s more of a lack of strategy than an actual system. Such a stupid strategy. In all my life of minor hockey, we were always told to never dump and chase, since it was essentially giving the puck back to the other team. Still true now.

I watched the game and didn’t realize Marner was even playing tonight.
i don’t care about either team but i was actually hoping this would be a competitive game just for the sake of entertainment.

It seems to me the Panthers were just playing with their food in game 6 so they could embarass them at home in game 7.

I can accept battling hard and losing by a goal but not capitulation.
The only thing that hasn’t changed is Shanahan and the core. They are not rookies anymore, they are in the prime of their years. Its time for him to realize that this group collectively are dogs that simply won’t hunt when the going gets tough.
The Shanaplan is officially a failure.
The leafs players should really be ashamed. Losing in game 7 happens, but at least you should know that you gave everything, it should be close, tight, and a fight to the end. That performance tonight was uninspired, lazy, embarrassing and pathetic.
