Tyrese Haliburton goes on the Pat McAfee Show to talk to the Pacers fan that was attacked by Knicks fans after Game 6: “I want to personally bring you and a plus-1 out here to Indiana for Game 4, everyone in the org wants to make sure you’re taken care of, everyone on the team’s excited to meet you”

  1. Damn, I should get assaulted more often for the price of a Raps ticket? Worth it.

  2. Hell yeah! That’s legit. Hali is so fucking cool and just a great guy.

  3. in response Brunson gonna give those Knicks fans that beat this guy free tickets to watch game 4.

  4. For context. He’s from New York, just fell in love with the pacers in the 90s. His first tattoo was the pacers logo on his wrist when he was 17. He went to see his in laws and didn’t know if he should go through msg but did. He went to game 7 last year at msg and said the fans were much chiller. Pat organized him on show as soon as he saw the video of him getting assaulted.

  5. Comments are wild. Essentially, Why would you wear opposing teams apparels in NY? Are you stupid? This gives them the right to assault you now. You brought to yourself. My fist to your face cannot be stopped.

  6. In b4 nyc fans start justifying assault over a game and a jersey. Some of you really take this shit too seriously, its like the group dynamic hits and all rationality is gone. Loser shit.

  7. Jokes and memes aside, it was sad seeing that happen. I know how overboard New Yorkers can be firsthand. 😣

  8. I’m a certified Pacer hater, but that’s cool AF of him and them to do. Good shit

  9. Just shaking my head seeing comments blaming the victim and justifying the assault…

  10. I was loving this knicks team. Fun to see them relevant again. That clip switched my support to the pacers. New York fans are so annoying

  11. Chris Paul is the Point god but Hali really is the PR god. Bros been going crazy recently

  12. The worst a fan from the opposing side should get is side eyes and some “lol your team sucks.” Assault and throwing shit? Bans from the stadium and even jail. Dollars to donuts the people who would assault an opposing jersey just suck all around, quality of life improvement for everyone around them if they were at the very least forced into anger management.

  13. Saw the video as a New Yorker and Knick fan that’s some goofy ass shit

  14. Knicks fans mobbed and heaped trash onto a firefighter, then took to Reddit to make any excuse they could think of

  15. Man, I’m a huge Knicks fan and always will be. But it made me cringe seeing all these videos of the Knicks fans being reckless out there these past few weeks. And that guy didn’t deserve getting garbage thrown at him. I hope he enjoys his time at the game.

  16. Any Knicks fan involved should be banned from MSG as well, Knicks fans we gotta hold our own accountable so that we don’t become one of those other fanbases.

  17. Good for Hali!

Fuck those Knick fans. There’s zero reason to ever do that to anyone. Sports or not

  18. Scenes when pacers win the finals and Halliburton becomes the face of the league

  19. As a Knicks fan, I can’t believe there was an idiot that did that. Glad TH took care of the fan; still want Knicks to beat the shit out of Indy tho

  20. From everything I know Tyrese is a good dude. One of my friends is going to a bachelorette party with his girlfriend and he is covering the AIR BnB for them!

    Good dude

  21. The Knicks fans reactions to winning the Celtics series was so hilariously over the top. It’s too bad that a few morons decided it was an opportunity to be physically aggressive with total strangers.

That is very not-cool and very non-New York.

DON’T TOUCH OR THROW THINGS AT OTHER PEOPLE. EVER.

  22. Damm that’s kool asf!!!!!!

Got me smiling ode like I got the tickets lol

  23. I know this is really big gesture but yeah, Hali is cool dude. Rooting for them in the ECF!

We’re eating old school rivalries here in the East. Let’s go.
