Erik Cole was my favorite player as a kid. I went to Clarkson University because he played there. I met him in 2017 and am so happy he is still a Canes alumnus
Key details in this series for Carolina:
1. Keep Freddy fresh, I know they have practiced since winning the series so it's not like you sit back and make him do nothing but you wanna keep him well rested while also working out and practicing.
2. Offence has to keep up, it has been real good these playoffs through 10 games but they have to keep up the good work, and we know they can.
3. This series is personal due to 2 years ago so all of our players need to play even harder and more physical as Florida is gonna try and knock our heads off.
4. Special teams need to keep going! I know we have played 2 less games that Florida however my point still stands that our PP and PK has been really really good and we just need to keep that going because that's the key, we have less overall goals these playoffs but we have played 2 less games so take that how you will. Just keep it going and stay confident.
This is a very winnable series but Carolina has to be ready to play a grindy tiring series meanwhile Freddy needs to probably up his game even more as well as PK should probably lock in too because we need our tandem perfect and more to beat Bobrovsky. We can do this!
This team is good enough to wear down Florida. I love the home ice advantage we'll have. If Freddy is up to it, I think it can easily be Canes in 5 again. Will probably go 7, though.
Two very similar teams. Good goaltending, good forwards that can defend. Hard hitting forechecking lines
I love Cole, but man, this dude says a lot and nothing at the same time
Hurricanes
Don't see the Canes pulling this off. Cats are a better match up to reclaim the Cup
Roddy played for Mo when this kind of system was kind of evolving…..yeah, similarities….but FL is bigger and a little more elite talent…..Carolina a little more detail oriented…
