But let’s get to this one between the Athletics and the Los Angeles Angels. the Athletics sending out JT Gin for the start in this one while the Angels will counter with Jose Soraniano and um you know the thing with Jose Soraniano if it does prove to be Sorano um I have seen him listed as ES excuse me listed as a starter on ESPN able to confirm that but again I think that it would be a logical spot for Sorano to get the nod but that being said you know Soraniano if it is him has not had the most amount of success or at least team success with him on the bump as the Angels are just two and seven in his nine starts this year and they’ve lost six decisions in a row with Soraniano as the starting pitcher. Last time out, it wasn’t Sorano’s fault. He gave up just a pair of unearned runs over seven innings of work. And it was a game where the Angels actually pulled ahead of the San Diego Padres’s, but they hit the walk-off home run to win that game 6 to4. And uh now, you know, Sorano goes back out on the road where he has actually no hasn’t been too bad this season. on the road, a 1.95 erra, a two-2 record. But I just have my concerns still because the the Angels bullpen has been more than shaky this season. And the Athletics still a solid team against right-handed pitching. Team OPS, they’re around league average, but a low strikeout rate below 20%. The batting average has been decent. You know, 254. You know, they have solid isolated power numbers. And I just think this is a a strong um athletics lineup that’s that’s going to be able to provide some value in a lot of spots this season. Now JT Gin again not my favorite starting option for the uh for the athletics and you know for the most part he’s been used in a bit more of a uh you know a shorter you know shorter starters role as of late. I mean granted he hasn’t had much of a choice and he uh went three and two/3s last time out and gave up three home runs. Um, but this is the first start he’s making since uh April 24th. I still think that he can be a decent enough option in this game. The Angels, just not a team I’m looking to bet right now. They’re hitting 237 against righties in the last two weeks. But keep in mind, a lot of has been since Mike Trout went out of the lineup. He’s still banged up. And uh this Angels offense has just been far too inconsistent for me to trust backing here, especially in a minor league ballpark in Sacramento. I just think that in at the end of the day, I think that the Athletics are the better team here. Now, the concern for me with the Athletics is always going to be this Athletics bullpen, which has a 10.27 erra over the last week, but it’s not like the Angels have that much of a bullpen advantage over the the uh the Angels. You know, the the Angels an 8.27 staff RA over the last week as well, is third highest in baseball, only two spots ahead of the Athletics. So, for me in this one, I’m going to roll with the Athletics in this one. I just trust their bats more in this spot.
