The last 11 seasons:

-None have won the Cup
-None have made the Finals
-Only 2 have reached the CF(oddly the Rangers both times)
-2 have been one and done(and each had at least 128 points)

This is starting to be worse than the cover of Madden

  1. To be fair the Jets have always been regular season merchants and should never be considered cup favorites so long as the current core is in tact

  2. 23 Bruins was the most surprising one of these. Maybe 19 TB 2nd, 24 NYR 3rd

  3. The most surprising thing here is the Leafs aren’t even on the list🤣

  4. The presidents trophy curse is only a thing if you suck at math/statistics

  5. Crazy it’s been 12 years since the last president trophy winner won the cup

  6. What’s this ā€œpresident’s trophy curseā€ thing people keep talking about?

  7. Not a curse. Just takes a different type of team to win the playoffs than it does the presidents trophy.

  8. Leafs adeptly evade the President’s Trophy curse and fold in the clutch on their own…

  9. From 16-18 everyone knew that whoever won the Pens/Caps series was essentially the Stanley Cup winner. It was stressful to say the least.

  10. Conference finals shouldn’t count towards the curse. Hockeys hard. R1 exit absolutely. R2, yeah sure. Not E/WCF

  11. Alright 4 of those teams went on to win the cup shortly after getting the presidents trophy

  12. Leafs don’t even need the presidents trophy to choke šŸ˜‚

  13. Didn’t Colorado and then Florida each win the next year though? Maybe it’s just something to grovel about and not really a curse.

  14. Capitals, Avalanche, Bolts, Florida ALL won a cup the season directly after winning the Presidents Trophy.Ā

The Curse of “Your Next Season is Even More Successful, Bwahahaha!”

  15. lets face it, if it wasn’t for Igor rangers wouldn’t have made it to the ECFs

  16. 20% of Boston’s losses were playoff games 🫤🫤

  17. I didn’t think anyone was stopping the Rangers last year after those first couple rounds of the playoffs.
