It’s always the beyblade players that give him trouble
Beyblade bros
Top tier insight.
If green wasn’t a complete piece of shit on the court he’d be extremely likeable guy
Yeah Dray got fried in 2019, Siakam was a huge reason they won. Obviously Kawhi gets his flowers (rightfully so) but that 2019 Raptors team as a whole was impressive
That’s real respect. Pascal dropped 32 on 14/17 fg on Draymond in his Finals debut. And crossed him up for the last bucket in game 6.
We all saw it in G1 during 2019 final. Draymond got destroyed by Pascal
So glad to see Siakam finally getting hus flowers
A different post saying Draymond saying this made tnt unwatchable
I’ve heard a lot of people give Boris Diaw his flowers — sounds like a guy who was insanely talented but never trained enough to take advantage of it?
Draymond having flashbacks of 2019 Pascal Siakam
Versatile player, great teammate, incredible origin story. Wished he still played for my team, will always root for him.
it’s rare to see a DPOY admit something like getting destroyed by a player still in the league. He did rly cook him too I remember that shit vivid
Siakam was in his 3rd year, after being a bench hustle guy the first two years. All of a sudden hes the second scoring option on a contender, and being guarded by Jonathan Isaac, Embiid, Giannis, then Draymond, as his matchups in the playoffs.
That single season jump is still one of the most mind blowing things I’ve ever experienced as a raptors fan
I had so much respect hearing him admit this
Respect
I’ll never forget Siakam’s debut finals performance with 32 pts. That was when I first realized we actually had a shot to win it all.
I don’t get this sub at all. Draymond actually gives a player credit and people still find a way to spin it into a negative discussion. Basketball discourse is such garbage these days because fans think they need to hate everything.
It’s annoying when Draymond comes off as self aware and genuine. Just let me dislike you in peace.
Pascal is an awesome basketball player, absolutely underrated every single year.
Siakam deserves all the love
Kawhi dumped him for Paul George then Masai ditched him for pacers scraps. So underrated
I’ve always liked draymond off the court but on the court I can’t fucking stand him
Siakam absolutely destroyed Tobias Harris in G1 of our second round series in 2019. And Kawhi also treated Butler like a baby in that game, he bullied him to the basket like he wasn’t even there.
Embiid shut down Siakam entirely from G2 onwards and Simmons did a decent job on Kawhi (there was only so much it could be done against him). That duo had so much potential, man.
The real Playoff P
I can’t remember who said this but someone described his play as like a piece of paper being dropped. You watch it swoop and sway randomly thru the air, going side to side as it falls, and then just before it hits the ground, it slips right underneath the gap between the door and the floor. It’s pretty amazing to watch
Gasp, am I seeing r/nba agreeing with Draymond Green’s take? Say what you will about Draymond but he give credits when credits is due
