The Texas Rangers are calling up outfielder Alejandro Osuna, sources tell me and @kileymcd. The 22-year-old started the year at Double-A and impressed enough in eight Triple-A games to get the call to the big leagues and try to help a Rangers offense that is 27th in runs scored.

  1. You’re telling me there’s 3 teams that have scored less than us??

  2. I think he’ll be a good player, but since he really only started taking off last year, I’m still not quite convinced he’ll be an everyday outfielder in the future. More like a 4th outfielder plus. I hope more David Murphy than Ryan Rua.

But this is exciting. Way moreso than Blaine Crim’s initial callup. I hope this isn’t too early of a callup.

Also letsee if Gerson Garabito survives the 40-man (once more)

  3. I hoped that this would happen. It gives Adolis the flexibility to go to DH some days. Maybe he just needs to focus on hitting to get him going consistently.

  4. THIS IS MY WORLD SERIES

Part 1 of my save the rangers manifesto is complete 😈 Emiliano Teodo get ready to learn closer buddy 😤

  5. This is good news. I still kinda think we’re probably just fucked this year, but Osuna was great in Spring training. Maybe he can be this year’s lil savior
