Stars were supposed to dominate the Oilers last year.
I clench so hard everytime McJesus touches the puck that I'll be constipated untill end of series. Hopefully Dallas in 4
The Oiler's have had a very controversial year. Inconsistent goaltending, inconsistent team with injuries, losing games against 'weaker' teams (overconfidence).
This entire year has had players a lot of players and a lot of line rotations that got HOT before someone getting injured.
Hot Dallas. Not as hot as the Oiler's right now.
They aren't a 'special teams' winning team. They have the most depth they've had since the 1980s. They are the best 5 on 5 since the Gretzky era.
The Oilers have a bad habit of over-relying on Skinner to make the BIG SAVES instead of playing a sound game, which cost them a lot of losses this year. They PLAY different in front of Pickard. They play better defensively. They translated that gameplay in front of skinner, and it gave him 2 consecutive shut outs. If they can maintain this style of play, they are going to go to the finals.
The Oilers also have 13+ players with goals this year in playoffs. Most of Dallas' players are negative in +/- points.
The Oilers have MORE depth than Dallas or Winnipeg. They have more tools waiting to perform for the chance to win the cup this year in case they need to change their game/lines up. A lot of these players are familiar with playing with different players/lines, which is the REAL depth that most teams don't have. The Oilers got 2 shutouts without Ekholm, their best defensive defensemen, who will likely be back for them for the Dallas series. Perry has been playing with Nuge & McDavid. All the lines are super adaptable. It's actually scary.
The Dallas Stars is only scary because of the amount they can pay players as a income tax free state like Florida and Nevada. But this is likely one of the last years Dallas has a real chance of pushing deep to the finals so they went all in (3.3million OVER budget this year, despite the tax breaks)
Yes i would prefer the oilers to win so i may come off bias. But Mark hasnt been watching his team. He talking about the stars like theyve had the scoring depth that the oilers have had in the first 2 rounds.
Colorado and Winnipeg banged Dallas up pretty good. They also barely handled the Speedy Avs and Jets. They most certainly won't handle the faster Oilers. The Oil in 6..
canucks all day! but im praying the oilers(canada) wins this, then beat the panthers next! cmonnnnn this is our GAME! #NEVER51
Rantanen “doing it on the defensive side”… he has 19 points but is only +1. So he was on the ice for 18 goals. 🤦♂️ he’s been on the ice for 45% of the goals Dallas has given up…..
edm in 4
Dallas homers…they need to be ignored.
If you want to win, take a Finn. 👍
Dallas imo seems more constructed & composed under pressure. I don’t count out the oilers but overall I believe dallas has that killer offense
When Rantanen and Hintz aren’t on the ice, the stars have been outscored 17-7. Depth isn’t as strong in Dallas as what people think.
very uninformed on the oilers. do your homework.
Guys check the stats😂 Heiskanen impact in his games. His gonna be beast nothing against Harley but if u check the stats of Heiskanen he dominated Winnipeg 4-0 when he was on ice
The Stars win this series in 5 or 6 games.
Otter is going to have to be HUGE and If the special teams continue their current trajectory for Dallas (BIG IF!) I’ve got Stars in 6! 👊🏼👍🏼
Stars in five
You are idoit you think the Stars going lose in 7, when Stars haven't lose a game 7, we are 9-0 when it goes 7
Dallas in 6 at the worst, maybe 5 but I’ll give the Oilers the benefit.
I like how Rantanen is a world beater but 97&29 arent playing as well but have ppg same as Rantanen
Oilers remember if they start to out play you. Start hitting them never mind the fancy plays.their goons will retaliate. The breaks will come clash of the titans
You guys can hit good
Oilers love being ruled out
Dallas stars have arguably top 3 best defenders remaining in the playoffs. Esa Harley and Miro. It’s only a matter of time before the stars depth gets going. Hatty by rants Hatty by granny. Goals from wyjo and steeler. There’s been more. Sorry edm fans LA chokes in playoffs. Especially when you play that same team 4 years straight. VGK was meh this year in the playoffs. Aiden hill literally was Swiss cheese. Stars in 6. Done ☑️
Nobody is doubting the oilers they are the best team in the playoffs period. Dallas should be the underdog, the stars are just surviving they will never ever win a playoff series in 5 games lol I don’t care if they r playing Chicago. Been watching stars since early 90s
Battle of merchants is upon us.
Dallas is finished.
The Oilers win this series.
Mark Pye. Get off the drugs dude.
Dallas is toast.
Oilers in 5.
This is going to be a defensive and goalie battle..I think that favors Dallas. McDookie and Drisuckle both are heavy offensively and will smother you with shots. This is not going to be easy. The smallest of mistakes will allow one of these teams to win. If Dallas stays 5 on 5 and stays out of the box we can pull it off.
I don’t think these guys really follow hockey, they only follow the Stars.
Stars taking it in 6 !
Texas
“On paper they don’t look as good” dresses Petrovic in the playoffs and Ceci top 4.. pain incoming😂😂😂
I like the stars. But i want the Oilers to win. Oilers have way more depth than you want to admit.
