Here's my take on the Jets Roster for 2025-2026.

Re-Sign Ehlers – 7 years, 8.5 Million.

Sign Drouin – 2 years, 3 Million. Thoughts… Second line Center, Played with Nik in Jr.

Sign Vilardi – 5-7 years, 6.25 Million

Sign Samberg – 7 years, 5.9 Million

Still over 3 million in Cap Space.

Thoughts?

  2. I think your numbers for 13&54 are low if we’re signing them to term. If we’re buying UFA years then I expect both of those to be much higher.

  3. You forgot that Kyle Conner needs a deal in the next year, and from the sounds of it his cap hit will be over $10 million.

  4. Drouin is a winger not a C.

    Schenn is under contract for next year and missing from your list.

    You are almost certainly under stating the costs of Vilardi and Samberg.

    You left no room for Perfetti and Connor extensions.

  5. I’d rather see Perfetti getting a long look at 2C and Hadyn Fleury coming back for bottom pairing LD minutes.

  6. I really don’t think Drouin is an upgrade and he doesn’t really play centre anyway.

  11. Those Vilardi and Samberg contracts would be a steal.

    Drouin is a winger now. If you’re looking for a low cost guy to compete with Vladdy then maybe Dvorak out of Montreal would be better. Although he really is more of a bottom 6 guy. Great face-off numbers though, which this team desperately needs help with.

    This is what I came up with. Extensions are from [AFP analytics](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1WuCp8WHgCaTAijtVsww-C-1qmdBdNBiTbDIPdJr_Fwo/edit?usp=sharing) (although I feel like the Samberg number is a bit low). This leaves us with 36.5 million in cap space the season after, which is enough to re-sign KC, Fetts, Lows, and depth pieces.
