Hey everyone, I hope you’re all well!

I ordered this Landeskog jersey for my dad for his birthday today and, while it arrived in a timely manner, the letters and name weren’t fully attached. My experience has typically been better. We’ve contacted customer service, but have you seen this before?

  1. Seems pretty on par for Fanatics quality control. There’s a reason people weren’t too happy about the switch over and buying up the adidas while they were available.

  2. Was it directly from Fanatics or Altitude Authentics?

I heard they have quality issues but damn if that isn’t downright bad.

  3. Fanatics sending you something of subpar quality is not a surprise at all. Anyway, I hope their customer service is better than their quality control.

  4. If this is the breakaway version, this is normal. Those jerseys are cheap quality. If it’s the Premium version (same as the Adidas Indos), then that would be concerning. Their Premiums are actually decent quality for what they are.

Edit: this is definitely the breakaway version. Absolute crap. Return it and get a Premium from Fanatics since they’re on sale for Memorial Day ($160 for a Makar or MacKinnon).

Or if you’re looking for a size L or XL, Coolhockey has Adidas Indos for $150 customized (do hand-stitched). You could put whoever you wanted on it.

  5. I will say this in any fanatics thread I come across. Do not buy from them. Ever. They make literal trash. And the reason they have the NHL contract is because people still buy their stuff. If y’all keep paying for this garbage nothing will change.

  6. Lmaooo reading these comments is hilarious but also sad. Fanatics sucks man.

  7. Looks like either heat was too low when pressing it or not enough adhesive. Gone are the days of actual embroidering the names. Or another problem is time. For that material it is lower heat and longer press so someone screwed it up

  8. Yeah having fanatics be in charge of apparel, possibly the worst sports apparel company ever, was probably one of the worst moves the league could have ever done. That with sanctioning us getting rid of Rantanen

  9. The real issue is not Fanatics, it’s the company that does the customization. From what I understand that is a place called Cool Hockey and if you’ve ventured into the hockey jersey collectors sub, you’ll hear all kinds of stories about their crummy work. This actually goes back to when Adidas was making jerseys. The Fanatics jerseys themselves are the exact same quality on the Premium and Pro models as Adidas. I have 2 Premium jerseys and a Pro as well as team issued and retail Adidas jerseys and they are indistinguishable except the dimpled shoulders. It sucks that Cool Hockey effed up their end. However the better fix is not sending it back, but just having everything stitched down as God intended. There are tons of places to have this done inexpensively, including local seamstresses. All they need is a machine that can do a zig zag. You’ll end up with a much better product in the end.

  10. Yeah hard with iron. Need the pressure of the heat press too. If new return it, if not would take to someone. Too bad I’m down in New Mexico or would look at helping you out.

  11. Had the same thing happen on a Makar jersey I bought after the cup win. I reached out to customer service and they refunded 80% of the cost. I just took it to a local embroidery shop, and had it fixed for $30.

  12. Welcome to the fanatics experience ™️

Yes this is something that happens way more than it should

  13. Fanatics is the absolute worst vendor. You can buy the high end options and maybe get better. But they really don’t care. They have a 10 year deal with the NHL. It’s just a numbers game for them

  14. Even the fanatics t shirts and hats that i bought at the can are all garbage. I paid a premium buying them at the team store. I won’t buy another piece of avs gear that has that stupid F on it.

  15. Normal as hell. The numbers are peeing off the Moose jersey I got 3 months ago.

  16. Honestly surprised they’re even faking stitched jerseys and haven’t gone straight to screen print. Just wait.

  17. As said already. Stay away from the breakaway ones, they are just heat pressed. I’d contact customer service and demand a refund or move up to the premium. Tell them the embarrassment you felt giving it as a gift.

  18. This is normal my Kucherov jersey did the same thing. Fanatics is trash and expensive
