[Highlight] Doris Burke calls SGA a free throw merchant

  1. I don’t think Doris knows that free-throw merchant is a derisive term and not a compliment about his ability to draw fouls.

  2. is this not a simple example of u reach I teach, am I missing something or is this not what every elite scorer does when a defender reaches in like that lol

  3. I would point to this as why people don’t like SGA even if the FT numbers aren’t egregious.

There is no attempt at a shot here, this was SGA doing one thing which is try to get fouled. It’s boring as fuck to watch.

  4. Weird how you don’t post the part right after where they defend him and say the stats disprove this especially when comparing him to other high scorers

  5. isn’t this acceptable?

they’re flooding one side, he is clearly in his space, make him pay

it’s not like he launched himself into him or hooked him like harden used to do

  6. If these playoffs have made one thing clear, TNT’s NBA product is so much better than ESPN. Even with Reggie Miller being annoying sometimes

  7. SGA was awesome in that first half. People can be salty because he got fouled 3 times… but he was outstanding.

  8. Seeing him end up on the ground every play is dumb as shit. It’s not just trying to get to the line, it’s his entire style of play. He gets hit a little bit and then chucks up the ball. Harden, Embiid, FTA, etc. It’s sad to watch.

What happened to the game I love?

  9. Well if you actually listened to the broadcast you would hear then discuss how his stats dont reflect this narrative and Reggie Miller claims he played the same way he did and averaged more free throws in the playoffs. They’re just talking about how star players strategically draw fouls not saying if its true or false

  10. No she didn’t. She said this is why people call him that, and then Doris and RJ defended him. I don’t enjoy either of these two on the broadcast, but let’s engage in honest criticism
