    You might be right but idk… they’re not about to eliminate the Stars until their winning big late in games 5, 6, or 7 (and even then you’ve got the Rantanen factor to consider).

  6. To be fair, Dallas been playing like ass. With the exception of one period this whole series.

    was really hoping new teams to rise up this year

  10. I didn’t expect it. It ain’t over yet, but I would have put money on Dallas in this series. Better defensively, more consistent goaltending, the addition of Rantanen. That’s why I never bet on hockey. Looking like a rematch of Oilers/Panthers in the Finals and I’m all for it.

    Just for fun, I’ll add to the OP’s excitement. The Stars ARE a very good team, but the Oilers are better built for the playoffs right now, and if not for a rare third period meltdown in Game 1, it would already be over.

    The 4th win is always the hardest…but we’re ready for the challenge.

  26. Without that one period meltdown, this could already be over. Jesus Christ Dallas has not shown up to this series at all.

  31. We’re talking about a team that has to start a chant “Dallas! Stars!” just so the fans can remember the name of the team and what city they are in. Then when the word “stars” comes up in the anthem they collectively realize “duh hey I know that werd!” The idea that this post is a ploy to jinx the oilers by some clever Dallas fan is comical. If it is a Dallas fan, more likely they are just overwhelmed by the permutations of a best of 7.
