Hyman left the game after this play and will not be back to the remainder of the game

  1. Looked like a harmless hit. I don’t think he’s gonna be back this playoffs TBH.

  2. Thats rough from what looks like a nothing hit. Hope he isn’t out the series. He’s been really good for Edmonton

  3. Popped his shoulder out. I did the same thing. Maybe. 5 days until he can play again if he wants to take slapshots and labrum surgery in the off-season.

Doubt he’s faking it. Didn’t go down or nothing. Wasn’t a dirty play. Sometimes these things just happen.

  4. Hope its just a stinger (brachial plexus stretch with short term neuropathy) and not worse. Its such a weird hit its hard to say.

  5. Oof, that’s a rough one. I always hate to see anyone get hurt, no matter the team.

  6. Can’t believe the refs let the Panthers get away with this – oh, wait, I’m a week or so early

  7. Been some dirty hits this game as per playoff hockey but this one was just really really unfortunate, fk

  8. Hate to see that. Dude has been a warrior this playoffs. Wishing all the best from Dallas

  9. Looks like that he messed up that muscle on top of the shoulder that gets inflamed and everytime you move it, feels like your whole shoulder is on fire

  10. Doesn’t this happen to Hyman like every playoffs or am I crazy? I swear I recall him getting taken out with a nasty knee hit more than once before

  11. Shoulder for sure. He’d be holding his wrist or something if was anything lower on the right arm

  12. Anyone mentioning the jump gets downvoted… why’s that? He didn’t even try to make contact with the body. This is not as accidental as ppl are making it seem

  13. Dislocated shoulder or sprained wrist maybe? Hit was mostly on his arms.

  14. That shoulder does not look good the way he was going off. It obviously not likely going to matter much for this series, but he will be a big loss against Florida.

  15. Gazzola got a text from someone in the organization on Hyman, “not good”. I think we need to mentally prepare to go the rest of the playoffs without him.

  16. I am afraid it might broken raduis bone. My kid had this injury twice with very similar contact pattern. I think it is because of elbow pad design and hit angle (from inside to outside) to the hand/wrist that holds the stick (extension that gives extra lever), but not bracing for impact (wrist muscles are loosen because player wants to avoid contact) – and because all of that bone snaps over hard elbow pad edge.
