What If The Phoenix Suns TRADED Devin Booker…
Yeah, this one should be fun. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Styos and sickos unite. for the most divisive topic in all of Phoenix Suns land. Should they or will they or could they trade Devin Booker? I’m Eric. That’s Stephen. Noah behind the Mac making all of the magic happen after a long weekend. But of course, the most important people, all of you in the chat, including Stephen who’s in the chat, but also Leo Enslow, Kaye Sunsfan303, and they’re already talking about our main topic today. Stephen, before we get into a ton of potential Devin Booker trades, some news to round up on the coaching front and the draft front, how was your three-day weekend? Uh, my weekend was amazing. Tons of basketball uh on the on the playoff stage, on the regular season stage for women’s. Um, there was a lot going on and there was a lot of fun basketball watched, a lot of basketball learned as well. And we’re starting to see these conference final series conclude or get close to it. Yeah. Loved the basketball this weekend. I I had a very bittersweet weekend. I got I’ve got a bone to pick. I got rearended this weekend pretty pretty bad. That’s wild. I was sitting at a I was sitting at a red light. Mhm. And we were there for like 45 seconds. So, it wasn’t like we just stopped and this car just slams right into the back of me. Right. Did you see it getting ready to happen in your No. No, I didn’t at all. That’s wild. So, I turn my hazards on. We’re in the middle of a major road. And so, I’m like, “Okay, I’m going to try to get over to the side. Turn down. We’re next to another major road. Turn down that road and get off to the side.” So, we’re out of traffic. I get over to the right side. And they start following me. And they turn their hazards on. And I’m like, “Okay, cool.” Like, we’re straight, right? I get over, I turn, person just takes off down the road. So, if that’s you and and I didn’t get a good look at the plates, I didn’t get a good look at the car itself. So fingers crossed the police can check the cameras and and find them. But that was you. Or if you’re somebody who’s hit and run, you’re trash. Scum of the earth. I’m not I’m not the beholder of people’s karma. But when you do wrong things to people, it tends to come back to you in some capacity. Um so I wouldn’t worry about that. Maybe this is my karma for proposing that we do a Devin Booker trade machine. That’s probably probably That’s what came full circle. Probably relevant, too. But everything is interconnected. So, what ends up being your karma also might turn out to work. Yeah, you get how that goes. It’s a puzzle piece. My puzzle to put together. Well, there is a puzzle getting put together on the coaching front for the Phoenix Suns. We’d be remiss if we didn’t pass along a couple of updates. Mark Stein over the weekend says that this week the finals will get narrowed down to around three candidates. Uh, mentioning Chris Quinn and Sean Sweeney earlier today. Uh Gambo talking about how there’s going to be four and three of the four that he can confirm is Chris Quinn, Johnny Bryant, Jordan. Dwayne Rankin says Sean Sweeney, Jordan Knot, Chris Quinn, and Micah Nory are in the final four. So we don’t have an exact on the final four yet, Stephen. But it does appear Chris Quinn has been in all of those. So seems like Chris Quinn is pretty solidly in there. If you had to pick one other name from Johnny Bryant, Jordan, Sean Sweeney, Micah Nory that you would want to be there with Chris Quinn as a finalist, who would it be? Well, the two names I’ve been most consistent with is uh Johnny Bryant and Chris Quinn. So, not going to steer off the path. I still feel like even though there’s obvious unknowns with all of the candidates that they’re looking at now as the list continues to condense, those are those two appear to be the strongest because of the situations that they’re coming from and the stake of claim to why those situations were as successful as they were. Yeah. So, we’ll keep you up to date with that once we get the official finalist. Of course, we’ll talk about it on the pod and everything of that sort. We got you covered here on PH and Sports. Hit that like button, hit that subscribe button. By the way, the march to 50K continues. That does help a lot, including five star reviews on audio. Hit that like button. Like goal as always is 125. Some draft notes. Stephen, uh, Matt Dennis, the Matt Dennis is the fourth in the coaching searches. Chris Paul, it’s not retiring. So, unless he’s pulling the Bill Russell, I don’t know what’s happening. I would not mind the Bill Russell to be honest. Wouldn’t mind it. I would take it at this point. If anybody could wear both hats, it would definitely be him in the center in the league right now. It’s true. Wow factor says, uh, Eric and Stephen, what’s up? Well, I’ll tell you what’s up with the NBA draft. Two of the prospects that we talked about last Wednesday with Joe Jackson, college basketball analyst, feed the post pod, were Yako Lendenberg and Cedric Coward. Both players who had offers to return to college. Coward to Duke, Lendenborg to Michigan. Well, Cedric Coward is committing to the draft and Yako Landenberg is committing to Michigan. So, one of the Suns prospects is off the board, but Cedric Coward commits. Stephen, do you feel like this could mean for somebody who could have gone to Duke that maybe he got a lottery promise and might not fall to the end of that first round if he is going to forego that and and stay in the draft this year? Yeah, it’s definitely conversations taking place that did not necessarily get factored into the entire draft process. Um, it’s happening super early on, so there’s going to be residual effect from that. Yeah, I’m pretty bummed about Yako Lendenberg not being there. You would assume it’s because he didn’t get some sort of lottery promise in the NIL. money is so lucrative. But tomorrow, we’ll be taking you through some more draft prospects and talking more about who the Suns could potentially draft. So, make sure you tune in with that. We’ve got draft shows every week. We of course have trade machine Tuesdays every single week. Are you ready, Stephen? No, I’m not. But we really got a choice in this one. So, we gonna go get to it. To to be to be fair, we do kind of have a choice, but we’re choosing to do it anyway. I want to give a disclaimer for this. Can I get the Can I get the one shot for this, please? Now, we know through multiple reports, not only citing the fact that Devin Booker doesn’t want to be traded, but also hearing from Matt Ishbia and Brian Gregory and of course other reports that the Phoenix Suns do not want to trade Deon Booker. Nobody on this show wants to trade Devin Booker. However, when your team stopped playing basketball in the middle of April and you’ve got to fill an entire off seasonason full of content, you got to start walking down every possible path. And today’s possible path is what if the Suns decided to go into a full rebuild? It is technically an option and there are a lot of people on Suns Twitter, Sun’s social media who are for it or even around the league who want to hash free Devin Booker. Is it best for both sides to make a trade right now? Can the Suns get a star player in return for Devin Booker or should they focus on draft picks? We have trades from the East, trades from the West, other superstar names, high draft picks, and everything galore. We’re going to break it all down right here on a trade machine Tuesday. Stephen feel like trade machine Monday. It It does feel like Monday. I I messaged Noah this morning, hey, just a heads up. We have lots of trade graphics today. And he’s like, for the show? And I’m like, yeah, it’s trade machine Tuesday. His goofy ass thought it was Monday. It is what it is. Yeah. How dare you, Noah. How dare you. We’ll see if you last another week on this show. Okay. Oh, no. Let’s go to trade number one, sending Devin Booker to the Eastern Conference. Stephen, you cooked this one up and boy oh boy, do I like it. Yeah. Uh, starting with France Vagner, probably the best player that you can get back in a Devin Booker trade that makes sense for the teams and the constructs that I looked at. Now, if someone else goes and finds something that makes more sense, I would love for it to be shared with us so that I can, you know, see maybe your mind went somewhere that I didn’t see, but being able to get France Vagner in addition to a starting caliber center as well as a starting caliber power forward or small forward depending on what your, you know, roster is looking like around them. That’s a start. Uh, I think that getting Vagner takes away the amount of picks that come back in response to that. But yeah, that’s kind of what I’m looking at with this one. So, Wow Factor says terrible return. This ain’t Mike says I’m just going to hate all of this. Wow factor says Boke is four first rounds or five. Now, I agree that in in in a vacuum, Deon Booker picks for sure. Sure. In this case, you’re going for more player talent, right? So, you’re getting Fran Vagner, Cam Johnson, Nick Claxton. That’s where the first round picks get offset here. Plus two first round picks as well. The first round picks they get is number 16 from Orlando this year. And then next year’s pick, which is protected nine through 30 from Orlando. So that’s probably going to end up still being a protected pick. 16 and you still keep 29. And you still keep 29 in this draft. So you have those picks to then go and make a deal with Durant cuz if you’re trading Deon Booker, you’re probably not keeping Durant. So yeah, Nets get Go, Kavius Cowell Pope, and a first round pick. Magic get Devin Booker. Now, the thing with this one is for the Nets, why trade Cam Johnson and Nick Claxton for Goa, KCP, and the 25th pick in this year’s draft. Yeah. Uh because there it seems like they’re wanting to go a different direction. Um something we’ll get to later is that they’re trying to move up in the draft. They’re trying to get to number two. They know they’re not going to get the number one pick, so they’re trying to get as high as they possibly can and um trying to entice San Antonio. So having a little bit more cap space to work with in terms of maybe taking back a player if they’re able to find other teams that would include or involve themselves with these things will make that navigating of that process a little bit easier. Um but all signs point to them wanting to go a different direction going forward. And having four picks already in the first round this upcoming draft says it all. Yeah. When I said I like that trade, I’m gonna grade all these on a scale. Mhm. I’m telling you right now, every single trade that we do in real life, I’m saying no. I’m not trading Devin Booker. You can call me a fanboy. You can call me biased. You can call me blinded. I simply don’t give a crap. I’m not trading Devin Booker. And I even asked in our in our Dieard Discord. I just wanted to gauge what people were thinking. I gave them five options on would they be open to trading Deon Booker. The options were 100% no, slightly against, neutral, slightly in favor, and 100% yes. Do you want to know what percentage of people voted on the no or slightly against option? I’m curious, what is it? 100%. 76% say 100% no and 24% said slightly against. Not a single person voted for neutral, slightly in favor, or 100% yes. I am against doing these trades, but it is a thought exercise. So, that’s how we’re gonna get through it here. Teddy, this trade was verified on um Real GM on Real Jam. So, the trade checker machine, the most valuable by me. I know a lot of people use spot rack as well, but I prefer theirs. Um yeah, so those were double, quadruple, quadruple checks. So, if you want to go and check it out yourself, feel free. I’m definitely not against you doing that because I’m certainly not above making mistakes, but that’s where I verified and then presented the information to you all from. Well, and this ain’t Mike says he’s our dude. If he asked out, I understand. And you know, that’s a different conversation, right? Maybe this isn’t right now, let’s say hypothetically this isn’t the Phoenix Suns making this decision, but for some reason Devin Booker changes his mind and he wants to get traded, right? There are multiple avenues and possibilities to go down there. Again, I don’t want I don’t want any of this to happen, but you can get the most back from any asset on your team from Devin Booker. And there are a lot of people on socials that are wanting to trade Book. So, let’s stick with the Magic theme, but switch up the third team. Stephen, you had another three-team trade, but this time Deon Booker stays in the West. This one pains me. Pains me. Yeah. So, the Suns get the number two pick from San Antonio. that’s not as painful. They also get Stefon Castle, Deon Vel, Gole Baz, and another first round pick. Uh, obviously the Spurs get Devin Booker. In addition to Booker, they also get Cole Anthony. The Magic get Kell Johnson. Now, this trade is setting the table for something I spoke to in the last trade, which is Brooklyn’s desires to get the number two pick. Can’t include more than four teams in a trade on any of the trade machines that I use. So, I couldn’t take it past four teams, but I imagine this trade entails that there’s another one happening with the number two pick uh that might involve the Brooklyn Nets or might involve Philly potentially, you know, one of these teams that are looking to try to move up in the draft. It gives the Suns more options. They can obviously keep that pick. There’s a ton that they can do with with that in particular. It just gives them a ton more optionality. And if you’re moving off of your franchise piece, what better can you do outside of not getting a number one pick than having a number two? number one pick would be nice. I I will say would be nice. Uh yeah. Yes, it would. Uh Muhammad in the chat, what’s up, Muhammad? Says, “We need more draft picks. Empty your chest, San Antonio.” That again is where Stfan Castle comes in. That other first round pick that the Suns are getting would be the number 14 pick in this year’s draft. So, you have two and 14. I If you’re trading Devin Booker, to me, and there are some trades that involve other stars, and I’m less inclined to do those. I am more inclined to go more of the draft pick route when it comes to these type of things because if you’re trading Devin Booker, you’re basically saying this time is over. The time for contention is not now, which is against everything Brian Gregory and Matt Ishbia said, but Devin Booker being gone means this team is going full rebuild. And if it’s going full rebuild, I want a guy like Stefon Castle who’s going into his sophomore year or or draft picks, right? There are other names that interesting like Fron is interesting, right? There are some other big names we’ll get to later and that’s interesting for sure, but it’s it’s just tough to say you’re gonna move on from Devin Booker to try to do anything revolving around competing this year in the short term. Yeah, I I agree. You don’t make you don’t trade Deon you don’t trade your franchise player in any context, whether it be any of the other 29 teams or the Suns, and still expect to be contending or at least even be a playoff team for the next season or two. Yeah, Sean says the time for contention is already gone for the moment. Yeah, there I mean you have to rebuild if you’re here or retool. The time for contention and winning championships is not right now, but they’re still going to try to. If you give up on Deon Booker, we’re talking four, five, sixyear rebuild along the pars with the Washingtons, the Utah’s, the Charlottes, and everything like that. AZ Soldier says Booker loyal. I’m loyal. Booker a lifer. Agree as well. Tyrone says, “No way. Deon Booker is getting traded. He’s a Phoenix Suns player for life. I agree with all of you. I I want that to happen. I don’t want him to ever put on another jersey. But people said the same thing about Giannis. And look at where we are now with Giannis. Dame, look at where we are with Dame. These things happen and we don’t want it to happen, but it’s a possibility. Stephen, you cooked up another Spurs trade as well. We’re going to get to that one, plus so many more deals on the other side of our first break. I drove a lot this past week besides graduation parties, my stay at Hiler Resorts and Casinos, working 30 minutes away from my home, driving around and doing running errands. I wanted to be a son for his whole career. Nicholas says Kobe was asking for a trade in 2007. Wanted to get traded to Chicago. your Bulls. Uh, it it happens. Bulls. Your Bulls. Let’s get back to taking our medicine. Another Devin Booker trade. Another one that lands him on the Spurs. Stephen, what are you doing to me, man? Come on. I’m trying to trying to shift some things. Move some furniture. Why do you got to shift it to San Antonio, though, man? You gota you gotta um do something. I know that’s hard. And you gotta kind of have some some uh memory loss there. I know there’s a lot that’s happened over the years. Helps you bridge the gap. There’s no unless they hip check me into the scorers table and I hit my head too hard. There’s no memory loss there. So obviously familiar from what from some of the teams we saw earlier in earlier trades. You see the Spurs with Devin Booker. Um, you see that Nets pick that or that number two pick from the Spurs that turns into a pick swap between the Nets and the Suns after the Suns trade Booker. They get Cam Johnson, Stefon Castle, they get the number two pick which they then send to Brooklyn and in return for that they get the number eight pick and then the number 14 pick in this upcoming draft. Um, there’s just a lot of movement going on here. But point being getting to the point where Brooklyn is trying to get their hands on that number two pick. The Suns could help in that in some capacity and here we are. So you’re trading Devin Booker and Bradley Beal Mhm. for Cam Johnson, Stefan Castle and two picks. Are the Suns getting fleeced or is are you getting back less assets because you’re giving up Beal? That’s the big D. So you’re you’re basically from the last trade, you’re forgoing the number two pick. Mhm. And sending Bradley Beal out, which I I think at that point, and I get what you’re doing, at that point, I’d rather do the trade beforehand where you keep the number two pick and you keep Beal because you’re just tanking Beal at this point. I I would say out of all of them that you brought, I’m the least high on this one. I like Stfan Castle. I like Cam Johnson. Uh I’ll take a first round pick and a first round pick swap. I don’t think that’s enough. You know, if if you have a chance to get the number two pick, then then you take the the number two pick. If you train your franchise player, you’re getting fleeced in almost like 98% of the scenarios that come up. So, yeah. On a non on a nonpersonal level, Devin Booker and Victor Wyama is tantalizing perspective and Dear Fox putting these Kentucky guards together is tantalizing for me. Wait till you hear Stephen. He add of course of course add add him to the Luca Tyrese caliber conversation. Six all NBA caliber guards that could have been put in tandem with Devin Booker the last decade. And yeah, it’s crazy. I I I genuinely I genuinely um I’m curious about the Spurs though because I wonder how much do they value having another front court piece to go with Wimby over a guard to go with De’ar. Well, and Sham’s reporting that there was mutual interest between Katie and the Spurs at the trade deadline that would fit into a different timeline though. I think that they would go with book because of the timeline as well. Okay, we got another trade from you Stephen. This one is a fun fourteamer. gets a little crazy, but it brings your Spartan, Mattish be a Spartan before mine, back home. His and Brian Gregory for that matter before mine. Nonetheless, uh, and Noah’s um Jiren Jackson Jr. coming to Phoenix as well as Tyrie Een and Aaron Holiday and um I think that pick is coming. Did I say that one was coming from um Suns are getting a 2027 first round pick from Houston? From Houston. Yeah. So the 2027 first Houston gets Deon Booker. They say they need shooting. The playoffs said they need shooting. So they get a shooter in almost every capacity with this trade. Get Deon Booker, you get Michael Porter Jr. Zeke Naji a switch big that allows for them to play double big in a different variety with Shangon also play to the switch in that Udoka likes to play with as well. And then you get Jay Huff to give you floor space in from your front court in particular as well. Another big that can play with Shangon. Um, and obviously this is the Grizzlies not being able to get things across the finish line with Trip and um, basically going another direction as they have a brand new head coach, a complete context shift yet again for this team. U, they get Jabari Smith Jr. as well as Dylan Brooks returning um, to to Memphis as well as three first round picks. And then the Nuggets are in need of some changes. They need more bodies. They need bodies and in that they get Jaylen Green to put pressure on the rim in ways similar to what they hope to get from Russell Westbrook. Um they get a ton younger more than anything else and they get a bunch of scoring and athleticism to add in the context to play around obviously Nicole Jokic and Jamal Murray. Yeah. Listen guys, you could be upset about the trades you’re trading Deon Booker. You’re not going to be happy about it. You’re basically saying we will build around Jiren Jackson Jr. get a little more athleticism in Tar East and just get a first round pick. Again, this one I’m I’m out on. Personally, I I’m If you’re trading Deon Booker, I’m going full young player, full rebuild. I don’t want to commit a max contract and something to another player to then stick alongside Bradley Beal. If you are moving on from Devin Booker, which out of the trades that you brought was your favorite if you had to trade Book, which one would you choose? Definitely get a number two pick. The number two pick. Yeah. The number two pick Stefon Castle, the 14th pick, Devin Vel and Goa Patan. Mhm. That’s That’s a lot of value. Well, a lot of people have been asking where are the picks, right? Where are the picks? Well, let’s go over to some of the trades that I made. Now, I listen, I got real disgusting. Okay, I I got I got gross. Okay, let’s go to just Suns Rockets. A simple two team trade. Rockets receive Devin Booker. The Suns receive Jaylen Green, Jabari Smith Jr., and Tar East and you’re basically saying that’s going to be part of our young core with Ryan Dunn osuadaro along with the number 10 pick in this year’s draft your own picks in 2027 and 2029 Houston’s 2027 first round pick and Dallas’s 2029 first round pick for a total of five first round picks Jaylen Green Jabari Smith Jr. and Tari Een for Devin Booker. What are your thoughts on this trade? I think the Suns start here with the conversation. I think they can get talked down a little bit off of maybe not necessarily five if you’re getting a young talent in addition to that. You might get talked down to four, maybe three. I think if you’re if you’re Houston and you you’re the only thing that you’re not willing to give up for Deon Booker, which even then maybe you could be talked into, is man Thompson. Mhm. I think for for picks picks wise, if you’re Houston and you’re trying to contend around your core, I don’t think you mind parting with the picks, especially considering you’re only trading away two of your own picks, the number 10 this year and the and next year’s first round pick. Then you’re giving Phoenix their picks back in Dallas uh and giving away Dallas’s pick. I player-wise, I I like these a lot less player-wise than the ones that you put together. I’d much rather have a Fron, Cam Johnson, Nick Claxton uh package or a Stfan Castle, Devin Vel package, but picks-wise, you’re not getting a number two pick, but you are getting five picks. Yeah. I just don’t know if Houston wants to give up all of that. And in in addition to the part that I’m getting at though, if you take off one of Een or Jabari Smith Jr., I think that might be more doable. Yeah. But I think if you’re the Suns, obviously you asked for the entire the entire treasure trove and there’s no and that’s the only way% he hasn’t requested and I’m just going to look at the the Houston’s draft picks. They would still have their draft pick next season. They would still have Brooklyn’s pick in 2027. So they would still have a 2027 first round pick. I think that’s top 10 protected. They would still have their own 2028 pick. So you would still have a first round pick in 2026, 2027, and 2028. You would also have uh you would have no pick in 2029. You’d be giving up Dallas’s and Phoenix’s and then you would still have your pick in 2030. So you still have that’s the thing is Houston has a ton of picks to part with. So I do think that they’d be willing to send him away for five first rounders. For those of you who are joining us, we don’t want Devin Booker to be traded. We want Devin Booker to stay. We don’t think trading Deon Booker is the right move. But it is trade machine Tuesday. We’ve done Kevin Durant. We’ve done Grayson Allen, Royce O’Neal. We’ve done Bradley Beal. We’ve done Kevin Durant again. This team stopped playing basketball a month and a half ago. So, we’re talking about hypothetical Devin Booker trades. Uh, it’s not it’s not a bad trade, though at all. Yeah, I it’s it’s I just don’t I just think Houston wants at least one of those players or one of those picks back. Yeah, I I get what you’re saying. If you’re bargaining, I just think Phoenix ends up having the upper hand in this situation. 10,000% because they giving up the best player. Yeah. Okay, this next one suck. Can I just be honest with everybody? This next one sucks. And maybe maybe we can add some more draft picks to it. The more I look at it, the more I’m like, “Oh, gross.” Devin Booker goes to the New Orleans Pelicans. In exchange, the Phoenix Suns receive Zion Williamson, Jordan Hawkins, Eve Missy, and the number seven pick in this year’s draft. There is a pick on that trade. You get the number seven pick in this year’s draft as well. So, Zion, Jordan Hawkins, Eve Missy. Gross, I think, is an understatement. Disgusting. Yeah. Again, the number seven pick, but this is this is gross. Not enough. It’s not enough. Nope. You got to at least throw in you got to throw in lifetime supply of gumbo from my choice of establishment. We’re not giving away freak. Well, not my Matt Ishbas, excuse me, or Brian Gregory. Well, do you want the lifetime source of gumbo if you’re trading for Zion? It’s not for him. It’s for the team. Okay. So, it’s the gumball and it’s the beignets. Sparrow says Deon Booker would never go to New Orleans, lol. Book loves playing in New Orleans. What are you talking about? As close to Moss playing as it gets, I believe, proximitywise. Um, I just don’t know if he wants to go to that franchise in terms of contending. Yeah, Zion, I think, is as far as when when he’s on the court, the best player we’ve talked about so far today. You’re taking a pretty big gamble on his health. I don’t know. You think the best? I think France and Trip are better than Zion based off of what they’ve shown. What they’ve shown everything including generational pain including health. He can be that. Okay. But I’m saying I’m saying when he’s on the court on the court as a and Zion I think is the best. You can’t say you can’t say that if we’re comparing because if we’re talking about the health part I mean the health part has to be included. That’s one of the best. Yeah. And I agree in that sense for sure. But I’m just saying when he’s on the court he reaches I believe a higher peak. has a higher he has a higher ceiling, but it’s also harder to build around in certain respects because of some of his inabilities. Yeah, I again I would stay away from this trade. I don’t really want to invest in Zion Williams at this point. I like Jordan Hawkins. Young player, young shooter. Eve Missy would be your starting center of the future. Plus, you would get the number seven pick in this year’s draft. Use that on somebody. Maybe since you’re taking a risk on Zion, you could talk New Orleans into trading you some more picks. I just don’t understand. New Orleans, they have CJ, they have Deontay. Basically, you would be saying CJ off the bench as a super sixman. You start De Jante Book, Herb Jones, Trey Murphy, and then you find another center because you’re trading Zion and Eve Missy. It’s a potent offensive group there. I think they still got JV down there. So, that gives him a stop. I don’t think you want to start. That gives them a stop. Is Shady on the No, he got traded. He’s on the Kings, right? Yeah. Yeah. We do have a super chat before we hit a break from Maria. Maria says with the 499 super chat, I might have missed this, but are all these scenarios assuming Beal is still on the Suns. I jump off a ledge for real. Honestly, yes. Now, one of Steven Strades had Devin Booker, but to me, if you’re punching on Deon Booker, then you’re not giving up an asset to get off of Bradley Beiel. You’re just going to eat that because you’re going to say that you’re not competing for the next couple of years. Do you do you agree? I still think even in this scenario that he gets the waving stretch in some capacity if they can’t find a taker for him. Yeah. So if next I don’t think he’s around. I think I made that abundantly clear. That’s fair. That’s fair. I just I don’t know if you do the whole buyout or the trade with an asset thing if you decide to trade Deon Booker. That’s real. But as we mentioned, they’re not going to trade Deon Booker. This is just a fun thought exercise on a trade machine Tuesday. Do it before he’s 32. If you are going to trade Devin Booker, his value is probably at its peak right now or next season. I think once you get a couple more seasons in, people are going to start to see that value go down. Uh, Richard says, “Katie to Dallas for the number one pick.” Dallas would be more likely to trade the number one pick for Book than they would for Katie, which neither of us have in this, by the way. U, if you get a chance to talk to Nico, let me know what he what he tells you. Nico is shopping that number one pick for Yonas Valenunis right now. Okay. You ready to keep getting gross, Stephen? He does love defense. He does. That’s why you would love Yonas. Okay. Did you know that Devin Booker and Jaylen Brown make literally the exact same amount of money next year to the penny? Let’s get to my next trade. Devin Booker to the Boston Celtics in exchange for Jaylen Brown and two first round picks, the 28th pick in this year’s draft and Boston’s first round pick in 2027. thoughts. This is such a fast no for me. It’s a definitely a no for me because I and my first question is why does why does Boston do it? Do you think Jaylen Brown is a better player than Devin Booker? Deon Booker is the better player. Agreed. So that’s why they do it. You’re going to get rid of Drew Holiday. You’re going to get rid of Drew Holiday. You’re So you’re going to lose some guards because you’re not going to pay Drew Holiday. Well, what they’re trying to do is reset their books. So, if you trade Jaylen, then that means that they’re consent with everything else. You’re basically saying, “We just want the better player.” That’s what you’re saying. You’re saying, “I want the better player, and I’ll give up a late first round pick and a 2027 first round pick when Jason Tatum is back.” Mhm. Deon Booker next to Tatum. I don’t think I don’t I and I’ve said this before, I don’t think Boston is trading Jaylen Brown. For one, that’s not like positionwise. They’re similar in height. Jaylen Brown plays bigger than his frame suggests. He plays the three for Boston. Is Devin Booker going to play the three for Boston? Do they have someone else that can play the three in place of him with Boston? I just Yeah, exactly. And for that to those points in addition to their valuing of continuity and it’s not just we believe in it, it’s we’ve literally seen it result in championship in a championship and multiple finals appearances. I just don’t see them punting on JB. You want to know how I know that it’s a good gross trade proposition is when I have people from both sides telling me that I’m an idiot, right? Like, dude, you’re so dumb. Why would Boston do that? Oh, you’re so dumb. Why would Phoenix do that? I love it. I love it. Again, I wouldn’t do that, but it’s possible. And if if Boston wants to retool, uh, Elco says, “Book for the number one pick or nothing.” That’s Finals MVP, Jay Jaylen Brown, by the way, too. I’m going make sure you mention that part. It’s true. against all odds. Said they ain’t got say he ain’t got a left hand. He’s like, “But I got a right to hold up this MVP trophy.” Yeah, and I got a left to hold up this NBA championship. So Deon Booker is better. That’s all I’ll say. Deon Booker is better. Well, we talked about one star coming back. Let’s maybe get a three-team trade going and let’s have a star guard coming back to the Suns. Let’s keep getting gross and down and dirty with a three-team trade between the New York Knicks, the Atlanta Hawks, and the Phoenix Suns. The Knicks get Devin Booker. In exchange, they will be sending the Hawks Carl Anthony Towns and two first round picks. And the Suns will receive Trey Young and two first round picks. Now, the picks that the Hawks will get are the Knicks picks in 2028 and 2030 in the first round. The Suns will be getting the number 13 pick and the number 22 pick in this year’s draft. So, you are getting Trey Young, the number 13 pick, and the number 22 pick for Deon Booker. Better or worse than the Jaylen Brown trade? I think this one is worse just because what is Atlanta? What is Atlanta first? Well, think about it. They would they would be moving on from Clint Capella this off season. Yes. Right. So, Carl Town’s automatic starting center three-point shooter. Is he starting? Is he playing the four next? Maybe he’s start Well, but the thing is you have Reach and Jaylen Johnson. I would assume that Cat’s going to be playing the five. That’s what I’m getting at with Jaylen, Reach, Daniels, and then whoever their point guard. That’s a lot going on. It’s a lot of wings. That’s a lot going on right there. People are not happy. People Kaylee says this is her favorite, but a lot of people are not happy about about Trey Young. Exactly. What is Atlanta is absolutely I don’t understand the Trey hate Trey’s great. Trey’s great. Trey Trey is a great He’s only been the best point guard in the league for like the last four years. Five years. He’s the ultimate offensive engine. Would you say Deon Booker is better? Deon Booker is the better player. Yeah. Yes, I would agree for sure. So, you’re getting two first round picks. You’re getting the 13 and 22nd pick. And maybe you could package that uh and Trey Young. I you know this one I just the picks were kind of where I was hung up, right? The Suns are getting $7.1 million in cap relief. Um the Knicks and by the way Carl Town and Deon Booker also make exactly the same amount of money. So the Knicks are adding no money to their books. They’re getting Deon Booker. I think that’s a home run for the Knicks personally. Um do they want another guard in their team context though? I I I think if it’s Devin Booker, a Devin Booker and Jaylen Brunson back court because we’ve seen Jaylen Brunson thrive next to another uh high caliber guard and and Luca Donuch and they play such different games too and and Book can play a little bit more off the ball and and whatnot. I think that still works when you have male and OG and Hart. So, you still have a ton of wings. Mitch Rob would be your starting center and you’d probably try to go target another center in free agency. Definitely opened up a gaping hole in their front court with that trade. Definitely. Obviously, they start Mikuel and OG at the three and the four, but they would just they would need to find a center somehow for sure. Or they would need Mitchell Robinson to stay healthy. That’s a gambit. That is definitely a gambit. Okay, we’ve got I think four. A bad trade construct though. Yeah, we got we got four more trades here coming up. I you know that one I I like Trey Young, but again, if I’m trading Devin Booker, and I I’ve said this a ton of times, you know, I’m I’m not looking to compete right away. That’s what I’m saying. 303. my thoughts. Exactly. Says, “What is Atlanta? Why is Atlanta?” Uh, Maria with another super chat. Thank you, Maria. Utah 2.0. The way Quinn Snider’s headed right now. It’s real. Maria with a 499 super chat says, “Do y’all care about Book’s health? Tibs would run him to the ground.” Well, Deon don’t want to come off the court and Tib is not is not going to ask him to. I do care about Books health, but at that point, he’s not on my team, so he can play as many minutes as he wants. Him and Muel Iron Man. Yeah. Elco says KD for cat. I think New York’s less likely to do that. Honestly, I don’t think I think KD at the four older where you could have Book instead. Well, I guess you can’t have Book because again, Book is not up for for a trade. Um, yeah. Okay, we have a couple more complicated this is. Yeah. No, there there is definitely some complications to it. I want to read Muhammad who had a a trade option. Now, I’m going to be honest with everybody. I have not fact checked this, but I do want to read off some options of ones that we have not done so far. So, Muhammad says Warriors get Booker, Suns get Stfan Castle, Jonathan Kaminga, Jabari Smith Jr., Draymond. Rockets get Moses Moody, Buddy Heield. Golden State Warriors 2026 unprotected first round pick. Phoenix’s 2031 top five protected pick. Spurs get PMKI seconds and three million. There’s no way the Spurs are giving up Castle for Pods in two seconds. Sorry. That’s where that deal dies. Yeah, that’s a lot going on there. It’s a lot going on. If you can get Stefan Castle for PodMky and two second round picks, then they can have one of our rookies and we’ll take Stefan Castle. I appreciate anybody putting in the work to try to construct a trade. Uh you see the complications why it’s so tough to consider multiple teams. How many teams will be appeased? doesn’t make sense for the direction teams are headed, etc., etc. It’s not easy to do. It’s not easy to do. I do have another pick, another trade with the Nets. Now, if the Nets decide that maybe they strike out on Giannis, but they still want to compete, I’ve got one and it’s got a lot of picks, and we will get to that right after our final break. It’s getting hot, but it’s not as hot as it’s going to be. But I haven’t said the a word yet. Say it. Because none of these trades a word with how I expect and believe that the sun should go forward with everything. So that’s why there’s no great eye from great eye from the homie in the chat though. No alignment today. No, no alignment. It’s redacted today. I’m not even redacted. Okay. Yeah, Kayla, you got it. Exactly. There’s no alignment today. Wild Factor says, “Eric, I have a question. The Knicks and most likely the Wolves now are getting knocked down. Orlando, Pistons, Wolves, Rockets, Knicks, all Chase KD. I’ve seen the rumors for those teams. Thoughts? Wolves? Knicks? I definitely can see. Rockets, I could definitely see. Pistons, I don’t see as much. And Orlando I don’t see as much. Although I I get why people would want him on Orlando for uh for shooting. This is for This is for KD, right? Yeah, for KD. Yeah, I I agree with you on that. Yeah, I agree with you. Teddy’s got a trade for the guys and gals in the chat. Teddy 499 super chat. Thank you. says, “Sons get Cam Johnson, Claxton the number 14 pick, uh the number two pick, Vel, Kell Johnson, Blake Wesley, Spurs get Katie, the number 26 pick, and three Knicks first in 2027, 29, and 31.” Where are the Knicks picks coming from? Cuz they don’t they don’t really have much of much of a pick. Yeah. No. Like where are the Knicks in this trade as far as their return? Yeah, like what are the Knicks getting? I’ll need a little more clarification. Edit that for us, Teddy. Just do it. Nets. The Nets have the Knicks pick. That’s right. The male stuff. So you’d be getting it from Okay. Yep. Okay, cool. Thank you, Teddy. I actually do have also a a Nets trade, but this one involving Devin Booker. Devin Booker going to the Nets. They strike out on Giannis. They want to go big fish hunting. In exchange, the Suns get Nick Claxton, Cam Johnson. Five first round picks. the number eight pick, 19 pick, 26th pick, and 27th pick in this year’s draft, plus Houston’s first round pick in 2027. So, four picks in this year’s draft, one pick in 2027 draft, plus second round picks, one this year, the number 36 pick in this year’s draft, plus Atlanta’s two Atlanta second round picks, and two Brooklyn second round pick. So, five first, five seconds, Nick Claxton, Cam Johnson. Your thoughts? Yeah, I feel like Brooklyn is a is a a dark horse to go big fish hunting. They have all of the cap space. I think they might have the most cap space in the league. They have all the picks you can ask for. They can more comfortably trade for a top tier piece and then be able to go forward with building out around said top 10 top tier piece in ways in which other teams simply cannot. Mhm. They can probably absorb two with the picks as well as the cap space that they have. So yeah, I don’t know. I’m curious to see what they decide to do going forward. But if they’re able to nab a Devin Booker and they can still potentially facilitate a move for Giannis, especially if he chooses them, you’re looking at them in a complete different light going into the 2025 season. Yeah. And a lot of people wonder why would a star want to go to the Nets? Well, you live in a big city. You can mold the franchise around them. Of course, not exactly instant contention if they get Giannis or if they get booked considering the pieces around them that they’re trading in these scenarios are the ones that are ready to compete like a Cam Johnson, like a Nick Claxton. On the Sun side of things, you get your starting center for the next couple of years, plus you get Cam Johnson who’s under contract for this year and the next year at a relatively controlled deal. That would go alongside, of course, you still in this scenario have Kevin Durant, you still have Bradley Beal, but maybe you trade KD as well. Maybe you attach one of the first round picks you get from Brooklyn off Beal to get him off the books, get some more return for KD. How do you feel about getting five first round picks, but four of those five picks are all from this draft? 8, 19, 26, and 27. I’m not mad at it, especially because there are a lot of teams that want to move up in this draft. that gives you an entire chessboard of options. You can go this way, you can go that way. Now I’m sounding like commercials from the mid200s. You can just go so many different directions with that and assisting and facilitating teams in their efforts to trade up while also insulating yourself with things in return. Whether that be players, picks of your own, maybe future picks. There’s just so many different ways you can go. And you also don’t compromise your efforts in getting off a Bill’s contract without having to wave and stretch them too. I think I’m if I’m in this situation, I’m trying to trade up higher than eight. Uh I would like to package I mean in this scenario, the Suns would have the 26th, the 27th, and the 29th pick in the first round. I would probably package the three of those to try to move up or for future draft capital. I just don’t know how many swings you want to take in one draft. Yeah. And all for one draft is definitely risky. I think for the Nets, it makes it easier for them to trade all of their picks because you’re really just trading one year’s worth of draft picks for a hit like Book or a Giannis in a different scenario. I think Yeah, they they would probably look to want to dump the picks from this season on one and then have futures. Correct. So, which they would still f Exactly. So, you see the framework of where they might be trying to get to. Yeah. Like Teddy mentioned, they would still have all the Knicks picks and everything like that. And also Shawn Marks is a attract an attractive um front office piece just because he’s shown the ability to adapt soon as opportunity presents itself. He can work towards that and then also shift the roster to insulate the best players that he’s bringing into his context too. So yeah, all of those things kind of bold in his favor. This next trade’s for Noah. This made Noah so angry. Sean, chill out. Yeah, Sean, that is crazy. That is a crazy comment. So, how about Devin Booker going back home? Devin Booker to Detroit. This is probably probably one of the biggest halls that that we’ve had today. The Pistons receive Devin Booker. In exchange, the Suns get Jaylen Duran, Oair Thompson, Ron Holland the second, Tobias Harris, two first round picks. Those first round picks would be 2028 first round pick from Detroit and a 2030 first round pick from Detroit. Two first round pick swaps. That would be 2029 and 2020 in 2031. So you have four straight years of first round picks or pick swaps as well. Then you have the number 37 pick in this year’s draft and five other second round picks from 2027, 2028, and 2029. So in conclusion, Jaylen Duran, Oair Thompson, Ron Holland, Tobias Harris, two first round picks, two first round pick swaps, and six second round picks. Three-fifths of their starting lineup included in all of their future picks for Deon Booker for a Cade Cunningham, Devin Booker backcourt, which would feed families. And my question to that then becomes though, is it worth it to want to go to Detroit if this is what it takes to make that to facilitate that trade? Because now you’re taking away the identity pieces that helped them become the team that they became in such a swift manner, mind you. Biggest turnaround win loss record in league history. Yeah. Well, Tobias Harris is one more year on his deal. He’s an expiring contract for 26 million. He’s not a part of your core, right? Jaylen Duran probably the best current asset here. Me and Noah made a bet this morning. He thinks Jaylen Duran makes an allNBA team in the next five years. I told him no. So, we made a bet. You saying defense or just NBA? I don’t know if he makes it there with the way that Yeah. I don’t know if that’s So, I’m going to win 50 bucks in five years for Noah. I’ll be I’ll be reaching out Noah in 2030. Uh, which is crazy. Uh, Orin says this deal is bad for the Suns. Oh, there goes your mic. That’s it happened. It happened on Friday, too. That’s crazy. Um, supplemental content to come in 2030. Yeah. No, I uh Maria says, “Doesn’t think it’s worth it.” Uh, Sky Falcon says, “Book and Cade fit together.” Orin says, “Not fair value for Debook hates double teams.” Or, you are such a hater. I respect it. Um, Orin has Orin is very realistic, but also has the fan part of it, too. He strikes Orin, and I say this with respect. I say this with respect, Orin. You’re a generational hater. And there’s there’s a couple generational haters that I’ve seen. Like there’s one dude. Uh oh, I don’t know who it is. I gotta I gotta find out who it is because it’s very funny. Oh god. Oh no. I’ve got a lot of mentions. Do people not like the uh the book tweet? Oh yeah, they didn’t like the book tweet. There’s one guy who responds to all of my tweets now with uh astrology jokes because of the uh because of the video that I put out with KD. So, I quote tweeted about like Yako Lendenberg pulling out of the draft and I was like, “Oh, that would have been a great pick for the Suns, and it’s the phoenix suns.com, uh, not the NBA team at the Phoenix Suns, too.” Commented, “More Libra energy.” Darn. And they they do it under like every single one of my posts, just random stuff. I I think that’s very funny. Uh, Teddy follows up with a 499 super chat. says, “I know that wasn’t easy to read, but basically you would trade KD for Cam Johnson Claxton in the 14 pick.” Um, I I don’t hate it. I don’t I think you could maybe get more for KD in theory, but I don’t know exactly what his value is. Getting two good players under contract that fill rolls next to Deon Booker in the 14th pick in this year’s draft. And maybe you could package 14 and 29 and move up a couple. Maybe you can do that with Houston. Um, so yeah, fun times. Okay, Noah, talk to me. Oh, yeah. In the chat, by the way. Yes, I’m coming back. I’m not gonna let this mic be this mic. No, the mic. The mic will not beat Stephen. No. No. Noah, talk ball with me here. Negotiate. What’s your counter offer? The Pistons would never in a million years even consider giving that much. Okay. So, so what’s your counter? Um, well, I I don’t know the players that would make the money work, but I feel like they’d be more likely to give up on a guy like Jaden Ivy instead of Jaylen Duran. Okay, let’s You know what? Way less picks. Let’s do this live. Let’s do this live right now. Okay. So, you’re willing to part with So, it’s gonna Tobias Harris is going to be a part of the deal. Okay. So, Tobias Harris. Yep. Okay. Jaden Ivy. Okay. To Phoenix. Give me aair and let’s see if let’s see if that works moneywise. That trade is successful. Tobias Harris, Jaden Ivy, Asair Thompson. I want picks. I want lots of picks. I want the same picks I got before. So, I want the two first round picks, 2028, 2030. And I want the two first round pick swaps. If you’re only giving me Tobias, Jaden Ivy, and Assar, you’re giving me more picks than that other deal. You know that, right? If you’re keeping I don’t know if they’re going to give up Assara either. That’s n that’s I don’t think so either. Either the Thompson twins are on the table. You’re you’re you would give me Tell me what you guys think. Tobias Harris, Jaden Ivy, Oair Thompson. You’re giving me Oair Thompson. Mhm. Four first round picks. Two of those swaps. Two of those regular picks. Six second round picks for Devin Booker. Six. six second round picks. If that stops you from pairing Cade Cunningham with Devin Booker, you’re not a GM for a reason. I don’t know. Six is just such a wild number in general for any trade. Six of one thing. Would you rather trade Jaylen Dur over Assar? No. So, you would rather trade a SAR than Jaylen Dur? Yeah, but I also really really wouldn’t want to trade a SAR. You’re giving me one of them. I don’t know. I don’t know about that one. Noah, I would I would be more inclined to give up Duran before Assar because Assar is a generational defensive talent. You can find another athletic center. Yeah, but no disrespect to Dur. So dope. No. Well, if that’s what you’re looking at it from there, you got it. You got it. Watch some fun basketball. For sure. For sure. Okay. You’re you’re giving me Assad Assar Thompson, Jaden Ivy. Assar Thompson, Jaden Ivy, Tobias Harris, four first round picks, two of those being swaps, and give me five second round picks. I’ll give you four. I’ll give you four. Three first rounders, one of them being a swap. So, one second, three first rounders. No, you’re giving me four first round picks. You’re getting Devin Booker. I don’t Yeah, he’s from Grand Rapids. He’s also He would be him and Kade Cunningham would be the best backord in the NBA. Or I can just watch Jay Ivy and Cade go at Oh, that’s way better. No, it’s not. You guys You guys would instantly be a top east contention. By the way, if you’re watching on television and you want to see more of Noah and I debating about the future of the Detroit Pistons via Phoenix Sunstra, the party always continues over at gophnx.com. We got Nathan in the chat in overtime saying, “Bro, I’m here watching from Michigan chat.” What’s up, Nathan? Salute Michigan. Uh Matt says, “Very glad Eric and Noah aren’t in charge.” I don’t know what to tell you. Uh Gobach says, “Didn’t Jay Crowder net five second round picks?” Yeah, he did. You’re giving me the second round picks. No way. You’re going to like it. Okay, you’re going to be pumped. I don’t like your tone. You’re going to sell so many jerseys, dude. I don’t like I don’t like your tone. Tobias, Jayen Ivy, Oair Thompson. You can keep Jaylen Durn. I’m walking away with the picks. He can keep Deon Booker. Wow. That’s a bad move. It’s a bad move on your part. The city of Detroit will never forgive you. I think it’s less about Booker and it’s more about how the roster is going to look with those two. Exactly. You can have the best back court if they have you can have the best back back court, but if you don’t have a starting lineup to go with that and you have to go and find new pieces and you have to do that in one off season, now there’s no chemistry, which is what ended up being one of their advantages going into the playoffs this past season. It’s a complete context shift for them. Sparrow says book for Giannis. Has that been discussed yet? No, I don’t. I would that even work? You know what? It’s a live trade machine Tuesday. I’m up on spot track right now. Come on. It’s a live trade machine. I don’t think the numbers match up for that. I don’t I don’t think the numbers line up. Giannis makes too much, right? Or does Booker make more than Let’s see here. Giannis, I think, makes slightly more. Giannis makes 54. Book makes 53, which means the Suns would need to aggregate. And yeah, they’re both second apron teams. That’s what makes it impossible. Yeah, that’s tough. Yeah. No, that’s not happening. Okay. Yep. Uh, Digital Dope Exclusive says, “Six second round picks, four first round picks. Wow, you have to take a step out the box.” No, I don’t. I don’t have to. Okay, let’s get real nuts. Devin Booker has maybe been talking to Bradley Beal about how much he loves the Washington DC area and Washington DC says, “You know what? We want Devin. What kind of conversation is that? Sparrow. It is close. The Giannis and Book contracts are close, but they got to be exact. Mhm. Devin Booker sent to the Washington Wizards in exchange. Stephen, the Phoenix Suns receive Jordan P, Sadique Bay, Bob Carrington, AJ Johnson, Keshan George, and four first round picks. Basically all of the youth minus Alex Sar and Bal Kulabali. the main youth movement for the Wizards. You get Jordan P to make salary work, Sadique Bay to make salary work. You’re getting Bob Carrington, a first round pick last year, AJ Johnson a first round pick last year, and Keshan George a first round pick last year. So you’re getting three first round picks from last year’s draft, plus the number six pick in this year’s draft, the number 18 pick in this year’s draft, OKC’s pick in 2026, and Washington’s pick in 2027. So you walk away with three former first round picks, Jordan Pool, Sadiq Bay, the number six and 18 pick in this year’s draft, plus two future first round picks. That’s a hall to get in return. Yeah. Um Devin Booker would not choose. Correct. DC car around there. Before anything else, I’m starting there. And yeah, that’s it’s just a no for me. John says, “So you’re saying trade Booker so we could become the Washington Wizards.” Lol. Here’s the thing. I actually really like Washington’s direction in the future. Sorry. Chill out. Alex. Uh, I actually really like Washington’s direction for the future. I think they drafted well. Bali, Alex, I think are hits. Keshan George I think is a hit. AJ Johnson showed some flashes once he got traded from Milwaukee. Bub Carrington also showed some flashes. You’re getting a ton of draft picks and needing some contract in Jordan Pool and Sadiq Bay. I I think as far as youth goes, that’s the best package of youth that you could possibly get, including the number six and the number 18 pick in this year’s draft as well. You’re basically going full youth movement. Em says, “Why would the Wizards do that bleep?” Um, I don’t know. Because they want very they want Devin Booker. They want to have a half vet, half youth movement. So you got like Marcus Smart, Devin Booker, Bal Kulabali, uh Alex Sar, and I guess Chris Middleton at the four. Hello says, “Is John Wallace still available?” No. You didn’t like that one, huh? No. You didn’t like it? No. Not from a little bit. No. Well, then you’re going to hate my last trade. Yeah. I’m I’m glad I’m glad these aren’t live reactions because you’re gonna hate my last trade. Okay, this trade is if the Suns get under the second apron and they decide they still want to take. It’s not Giannis, but it is the Bucks. Mhm. Devin Booker to Milwaukee along with Royce O’Neal. In exchange, you get Damen Lillard, five first round picks and two first round pick swaps. By far the most first round picks you get in any trade. You get seven of them. you take on Damen Lillard because you’re just assuming you’re going to tank for the rest of his contract. The picks that you get is Milwaukeekey’s 2026 firstrounder, New Orleans’s 2026 firstrounder, the swap in 2027 with New Orleans, Milwaukey’s picks in 2028 and 2030, Portland’s pick in 2030, and Milwaukee swap in 2031. Seven ed seven edibles, I’m sorry, somebody commented edibles. Seven first round picks and Damen Lillard for Devin Booker and Royce O’Neal. Your thoughts is let it breathe. You’re just basically saying I want the most draft picks possible for Deon Booker. I told you it was gross. For sure. I told you it was gross. For sure. I told you it was gross. Okay, give me give me your favorite trade and your least favorite trade that we talked about today. Well, the least favorite is the last two one A and one B for sure. Really? Do you think the Wizards one was that bad because he doesn’t he’s not going to want to go there? That’s not the point. He doesn’t want to get treated in the first place. We’re living in La La Land right now. That’s not the point. I’m talking about just in a vacuum. What is What is just in a vacuum? What are the wizards doing at that point though? They they want you it’s it’s you build around Book Bal and Sar. That’s your core. That’s your core. You get off of Smart. You get off of Chris Middleton and you go on from there. Okay. So, yeah, those two are the last two are by far the worst for me personally. The best one offensive. The best one is probably the cleanest one for me is the one with Houston where they get six picks in addition to Tari Jabari. The one that Yeah, the one that you did five first round picks. Jaylen Green, Jabari Smith Jr., Tari E. Yeah. Those picks being Houston’s number 10 pick this year, Houston’s picks in 2027, uh Dallas picks in 2029, and then your own picks in 2027 in 2029. Mhm. So that’s probably probably the best one. Um obviously if the Spurs are giving up the number two for Booker, then that one’s included in the best for me as well. But I would air on those two being the best and those last two being the worst of today. I agree. I I think the Rockets one’s pretty straight up, pretty basic. I don’t hate the Nets one where you get a ton of draft capital, a ton of first couple seconds. That was a good one. Uh I loved strongarmming Noah. Talk about straight up for book. Uh yeah, I’m talking about strong arming Noah in Detroit as well. Yeah, booked for for Claxton Cam Johnson 8 19 26 and 27 and 36 in this year’s draft and then Houston’s pick in 2027 and a bunch of other second round picks. We’ll see. Loved strongarmming Noah. You’re going to take Deon Booker and you’re going to like it. You’re going to buy his jersey. You’re going to cheer for him and he’ll probably bring Detroit to championship. Pain, pain, pain, pain. Uh, wow factor says Pistons one was the best one. Nathan says Detroit makes the most sense for Book. Cory says Celtics and Detroit. Cory’s been very big on that Jaylen Brown is better than Devin Booker, so he would do that trade in a heartbeat getting two first round picks with Jaylen Brown for Deon Booker. Grossest one is definitely the Bucks and then I think the Zion one. I forgot about that one. Zion one was Yeah, cuz the last two were just so loud. I forgot about that one for a second. Yeah, we got a 1 A, 1 B, and 1 C. All time gross. A big three of the worst. Yeah, for sure. Uh Andy says the Trey one wasn’t bad. The Trey one saw the Suns get Trey Young, two first round picks in exchange for Book. New York also in on that deal. uh New York getting Booker and then the Hawks getting Cat and two first round picks as well. There was no Warriors trade, Muhammad, but there are plenty of other trades that we could go into. I did like Stephen yours where the Suns walked away with the number two pick and Stefan Castle. I thought that was great and I didn’t hate walking away with Fron Vagner, Cam Johnson, Nick Claxton, and the number 16 pick and next year’s first round pick from Orlando. So, I like that too. Yeah, for sure. Nathan in the chat did not like the Zion one. said the Zion was a bad one. I’m right there with you, Nathan. I’m pretty sure most of the people in the chat are too, honestly. Soul in the chat says, “This is my question to Devin Booker. What do you bring to this team?” This is a serious question because all I’ve seen from him in the past two years is serious lack of leadership and accountability. I was about to say you want to answer. Uh he brings all NBA level scoring, top 10 scoring and assists. Uh he is probably one of the better offensive engines in the NBA. Um he has proven that he could be a a top player on a championship team. The leadership stuff is such an interesting conversation and so I I get what you’re saying where it hasn’t been great. But I uh I do believe that David Booker brings a lot of value to the Phoenix Suns. A lot a lot. very efficient three-level score, double teams in multiple contexts of playing offense, which most guards can’t get. Even the all-star level guards, they all don’t get double team, especially to the extent that he does. Um, there’s a consistency that comes with Devin Booker as well. He has a ceiling that he can reach on the defensive end that helps to not have any liabilities on your defense if you insulate. And to be fair, he has not hit that the last couple of seasons. He needs to be better when he’s at his peak. Yeah. when he was in that playoff run where he was averaging like over two stocks a game. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And he’s a player that’s also shown that he can step up on the bigger stages as well. The same Mike says, “Stephen, you need to find a way to block real GM spot track and fans from Eric’s laptop.” This is what y’all get when Gerald’s on paternity leave. Okay, I’ll be honest. I thought I was cooking. I think some of these trades are very fun. Uh, also brought up in the chat of what Book brings is community. He very much is invested in Arizona in culture and team identity. So I think underrated in all of that though I said three level scorers. Yeah. You see the players that are rising to the to the forefront most at this point in the season excluding Tyres Hallebertton who does have a mid-range. He just chooses not to use it because his floater is so good. But Devin Booker being able to problem solve from the mid-range and how that undoes a defense, how that counter punches to a defense as well. It hits different when you have that in your bag come postseason play and come potentially two wins from the finals. Yep. I 100% agree. Do you want to talk a little playoff ball real quick? Yeah. Eastern Conference Finals going down tonight. The Knicks pulled out a big win. Came back from down 20 in their last game against the Pacers. They’re down 2-1. Another game in Indianapolis. Do the Pacers go up 3-1 tonight? I think so. I think they had for the first time honestly all playoffs they had some slippage and execution and to the extent where it was in a sustained portion at one of the most important parts of the game and they saw it work against them. Every bit of what they did to their opponents whenever they did find themselves behind it actually worked against them for the first time off playoffs. I don’t think they make those mistakes again. And I also don’t think the Knicks get the ancillary performances that they did from their role players to that extent. So I think this is funny because I feel like we’re having the same conversation that we had when they were playing Boston. It’s like, oh, they can’t keep coming back from down 20. They can’t get in and they just kept doing it. I’m not counting New York out. I still think I still think uh Indiana wins the series. I actually do think New York wins tonight because New York has not been great at home this postseason. So I think Indiana takes another win at MSG to go up 3-2. I think Indiana wins it in six back home for game six. That was my original prediction. I think they get it done in five, though. Yeah. How about Tyresese Halburn, huh? Yeah. Huh. Exactly. Isn’t that awesome? So much for overrated. Isn’t that great? Pops back in the building. Isn’t that so cool, guys? That the player the Suns had a chance to draft instead of Jaylen Smith is the best player on an Eastern Conference Finals team. Isn’t that Isn’t that awesome? Does Noah have something to say? We pistons uh got Killian Hayes that draft. So I feel hydrogen bomb versus coughing baby. In the West, OKC took it from Minnesota last night by two points on the road. They go up in their series as well. They are now, I believe, up to three to one in that series. It feels inevitable, Stephen. Game five tomorrow. Do the Thunder put it away? Yeah, I think I think Ant has another game in him. He hasn’t been shy about scoring on the road. My question though is are any of his teammates going to show up on the road with him. The reason why they saw they saw successes in games three and four was because Alexander Walker, um Dante De Vincenzo, Nas Reed, obviously uh Jaden McDaniels as well, knocking down shots, scoring, getting into those drives. Are they going to have that on the road? And more than anything, even before the ancillary player stepping up, are they going to take care of the basketball? Cuz that’s a death sent death sentence every every time you turn it over against the Oklahoma City. Well, not only do they force force turnovers a ton, but they capitalize on the other end. That’s my thing. Every turnover is like points per possession. Every time x context of play happens, how many points do you average in return? It feels like anything north of like 1.2 in any context is great. It feels like they’re averaging like three points per turn over. It’s ridiculous. Every time it’s an immediate track track race to the other end and it’s a bucket in some capacity. Yeah. So, getting lots of love in the chat from people catching us live. Nathan says, “Loves watching us live every day.” Thank you, Nathan. Anton says, “Damn, I’ve been back in my home country for two weeks and just realized now I could catch y’all live first thing in the morning.” What a waste of two weeks. Hey, well, you’re back now, Anton. You’re back. That’s all that matters. Now you got lots of shows you can go back to as well if you did miss those shows. Okay, couple super chats before we wrap up here on a Tuesday. That feels like a Monday. Hope everybody had a good three-day weekend. Maria 499 super chat says, “You all hate book.” This is after the Wizards trade. As a DC resident, I wouldn’t subject him to this travesty. Wizards is all vibes and no championships. There’s vibes. I think I listen, I don’t hate where the Wizards is going. Welcome to PHX Wizards. I I don’t hate where the where the Wizards are heading as a as a franchise. Do you disagree? No, I’m not mad at I think they’re in like ever since they got their new GM, I think they’re in a great place. Mhm. They traded Koozma, got a young player in and AJ Johnson and took Chris Middleton back, right? They got Marcus Smart four picks, which is awesome. And then you’ve drafted well, Balabali. Uh Noah’s favorite McDonald’s employee, Alex Sar. Uh you hit on a couple other guys as well. Uh Teddy Teddy just has this picture casually. Yeah, I learned this in chat today. Teddy, who has been dropping super chats for the longest time now, one of the most consistent viewer super chatters ever, is not a Suns fan. Teddy is a fan. I never would have guessed it. Said he he’s here because of KD. Teddy with a 199 super chat says book to the 305 Miami for hero Robinson wear plus picks. What picks? I do like CL. Throw in throw in Chris Chris Quinn and it might be which is insane. Oh my god. Hey, I don’t hate it if the picks are right, but I don’t think I don’t think Miami has a ton. Does Miami have a lot of picks that they can deal? I think they got a pick in their favor because they made the playoffs. Yeah, but or the play in rather, but I don’t know. Let’s see. Draft picks. They have the number 20 pick this year. They have their 2027 first round pick uh lottery protected and then they have their 2029 first round pick, their 2030 first round pick, and their 2031 first round pick. They don’t have any immediate draft capital besides the 20th pick in this year’s draft. They can’t trade next year’s pick and the pick after that is lottery protected. So, not a ton of picks that would be coming back in that one. Um I do like KL Wear. I’m okay with Tyler Hero. I don’t love Tyler Hero. Um, and Duncan Robinson’s just for salary. 19. Duncan Robinson’s almost making $20 million a year. He’s expiring though, isn’t he? Yeah. $20 million this year. Yeah. Shooting is shooting is one of the best assets that you can have. And movement shooting is one of the best assets that you can have. I should have had a growth. And doing that on height is one of the best assets. I should have had a growth spurt. Okay. If you could shoot, like Katie told somebody when they were asking if they were 30 plus. Yeah. If you could shoot the you know what out of the ball and you like 6667. Yeah, you got a chance for sure. I got a couple things I got to work on, including growing. Okay. Don’t I see what you’re hovering over, Noah. Do not click that graphic. Don’t click that. Oh, no. No. The worst picture of all time for me, by the way. This is an alltime bad picture. Maria mentioned being able to go to games for dirt cheap and not having expectations for the game that you’re going to in particular as well. That was my life as a Suns fan. I think those things are relevant for the vibes that she’s speaking to. So, you know, I appreciate you uh providing that context for sure. The move back in the days, the old arena name before it was renovated. Yeah. No free ads, but yes. Um it’s fine. It’s a habit. That’s fine. uh you’d buy an upper level ticket, you’d buy a super cheap ticket, like 15 bucks maybe, and then once the Sun started losing by 30 plus, everybody would leave. So then you would walk down to the lower bowl and they wouldn’t care if you walked down to the lower bowl. And so my move would just be then to go down and watch from like the half court line and watch like Sunny Williams hoop it up. It was great. It was awesome. Okay, final thoughts on a Devin Booker extended edition trade machine Tuesday. even um I’ll end the same way I prefaced that and I’ll use the word not align with everything that I’ve expected from the team or what I’m kind of hoping that I feel like I see avenues to success for them from training de Booker is not the answer for me and I don’t think it’s the answer for the team either and because of those things I feel like we we ran through plenty of examples as to why that will be a near impossible thing to make happier. Yeah, I do not want Deon Booker traded from the Phoenix Suns. I understand from a perspective of people who think that the Sun’s only way to get out of this current situation is to sell it all off. Mhm. I’m not saying I don’t understand your perspective. I’m saying I don’t agree with it personally. Devin Booker is the Phoenix Suns right now. He is this community on the court, off the court. Has it been a rough couple of seasons? Absolutely. He’s the all-time franchise leader in points. He’s going to hold many more all-time Suns records at a certain point as well. He’s going to make that record basically unbreakable, by the way, to be the all-time franchise leader at 28 if he stays here for the rest of his career, cuz he’s not averaging less than 26 a game going forward. And I think if they put the right team around him, he can easily get to 29, right? And I would much rather try for this team to retool and put the right team around Book than vice versa, even if it means not ripping the band-aid fully off and trading Devin Booker. Mhm. But if Devin Booker were to request a trade or the Suns were to decide it’s their best path forward, which we have heard reports and from the sources on both of those, that’s not going to happen. These are the trades that they could make. This is the type of value. None of it’s going to be great. Nobody’s going to be happy. But that’s what you get. And Noah, you’re giving me a Ser Thompson and you’re giving me five first round picks and you’re going to like it. See, when you say that, I can’t help but put that up. You can follow the show at phnx_sons. We appreciate Noah behind the Mac making all the magic happen but not making the trades happen. That’s Stephen. You can follow him at Steven PG3. Do not call him Steve. Steven spelled with a ph. You can follow me at E R I K R U B Y. We will be back tomorrow because it is a Wednesday. And just because we started late does not mean that we are not going to be doing a draft prospect show. The Phoenix Suns are realistically not trading Devin Booker this offseason, or anytime soon, just listen to anything Mat Ishbia and general manager Brian Gregory has said about the homegrown star this offseason. But, what if they did decide to move on?
Erik and Stephen go through hypothetical scenarios that see No. 1 traded to a variety of teams in both the Western and Eastern Conferences. Should Phoenix target a package built around draft capital, established veterans, young players with potential or a mix?
PHNX Suns dives into it on another Trade Machine Tuesday, plus catch everyone up on the latest draft news and trade rumors surrounding the Suns!

Suns fans don’t appreciate shit but mediocrity, it’s pathetic bruh.
This is the Suns content I've been waiting for, but everybody is too scared to do! Thank you. I would do every single one except Trae Young, or the WIz package.
Booker is terrible piece to focus a rebuild or retool around. Trade him while his value is still high.
On a side note, the suns have worked out rj felton, Bashir jihad,rj Luis Jr and Johnathan Pierre.
You are a fanboy
How dare we put that ENERGY in the air! Until it's in the AIR?…🤨 I hope y'all take this in the right way seriously.

If you are a true Suns, this is your moment to show it, block and delete these suckas, this weekass keeps calling you, psychos and etc, bro f him
This has to be the worst trade machine Tuesday EVER, i miss Lindsey trade machine Tuesday, Erik is cooking up dog shit
The Suns fans are delusional. Like Houston would give up 6 players and multiple picks. He has value of course but y’all are treating him like he’s Giannis. Be real about Booker. You can’t win with him as a number one but he’s the perfect compliment guy to a star player.
Man yall r delusional. Everyone in the nba knows suns owner is trash at negotiating and they have their booty against the pressure cooker. Yall gettin some bum ass anfernee simmons & 2 1st rnd picks for booker type shit.
We should have traded Booker years ago. I’ve never seen a team try so hard to build around a number 2 option.
Sorry I’m not even going to click on this due to headline. Trading Or could they or would they trade Booker. I’m out. So tired of this Booker trade narrative. Just stop it. He’s not going anywhere.
Thanks for sharing such valuable information! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (wonder obey dial dash soon tank spike scout region undo zero such). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
