  1. Florida is like the new Vegas, so dirty and cheap but favoured by the league so they get away with it way too much. Disgusting team and franchise, nice owner you got there, too…

  2. Remember when Lomberg choked Trent Frederic almost to the point of passing out and the refs just watched.

  3. how does this not get a suspension just for being a violent psychotic thing to do in a hockey game

  4. This is the type of thing that didn’t cause serious damage but could have been very bad (especially if he holds on very tight or much longer) and deserves to be suspended.

  5. When does the NHL grow some balls and start handing out actual punishment for a poorly controlled team? I get you want to set a tone but your board line criminal.

  6. That crosses a lot of lines. PO hockey really only favors the teams that are willing to truly goon it up because they know the officials won’t call shit. And even if they did it’s just two minutes.

  7. I didn’t see this live and upon first watch it seemed ekblads goal was to unbuckle the helmet. Then I saw the comments and realised how dirty that shit *actually* was.

  8. He’s been doing that for atleast two games now. Refs are just letting them do this shit but then call anything on us when we retaliate.

  9. I like to imagine stuff that goes unpenalized in hockey happening in any other league.

If you get caught on camera choking an opponent in the NFL? No chance you get away with less than a 4 game suspension.

How hard is it to care about player safety as much as the NFL?
