Does Paul Maurice going to his 3rd consecutive cup.. Make you Happy or Sad/Angry?

Overall I’m happy for him. His pressers are always entertaining and enjoyable. I just wish his time here was a little more successful and played the youth a bit more but maybe that’s lessons learned for him.
Angry it’s florida
Wish he did with the Jets instead.
Honestly I’m indifferent. His tenure ended nearly 5 years ago; enjoyed him during the bulk of his time with the Jets but what he does after leaving the org is of no consequence to me as a fan.
It’s a bummer it didn’t happen with us, but I truly think he hit his ceiling with the Jets and ultimately lost the room. Some tough decisions needed to be made with certain personnel sooner which did not happen until Bones took over.
I’m happy for him absolutely
Definitely happy. I was always a pro-Maurice fan, so it was always nice to smack down anti-Maurice peeps.
Happy, he’s a great coach and guy.
He clearly didn’t have the pieces he needed here. We still don’t!
He proved his dump and chase goto the net style of play works as long as you crash and bang and do what it takes to win. He didn’t have the horses here but clearly he does in Florida so I’m happy for him
I’ll never be sad or angry after he shouted out the Jets right after winning his first cup. That’s love. His tenure had some of the highest highs and lowest lows and it went on too long (and he agreed given he quit, that’s on GM/ownership), but the man loved this city and team. All you can ask for.
But I won’t be happy. Fuck Florida. Congrats to Maurice.
It’s annoying that we’ve seen Florida/Tampa this much in the SC. I’d like to see Edmonton get a cup for themselves.
Love the coach, not the team
Happy for him. Mad at Wheeler.
Really happy for him. Solid coach, and really classy of him to shout out the Jets last year WHILE he was celebrating the Cup win. He could’ve been thinking a million things, but his one wish was that “if any other team could win it next year, it’s that the Winnipeg Jets get the next one.”
Well that didn’t quite pan out, but it’s obvious there’s no hate between him and the org. Also… the dude is funny as fuck, so you have to give him his props there!
Happy. He truly did everything he could for us. Clearly still cares for the core and wishes us the best. Rooting for him to win his second
He’s a solid coach, and wants nothing more than to see Winnipeg hoist the cup.
Just needed a good team he could coach and have the players buy in. Very happy for him. One of the nice guys.
He’s acting really weird now that he’s won a Cup. The way he went around having a pity parade after beating the Leafs in the second round is confusing to me
Happy for him, angry about literally every other member of that team getting there. Fuck Tkachuk
Did I mention Paul Maurice? Good guy.
He would have been to a total of zero cup finals if he stayed in Winnipeg so I don’t care tbh.
Feeling don’t matter. Results do.
I love me my Mo.
Happy for the man, he seems like a great dude.
But it also makes me retroactively frustrated as hell with our group.
For years before Maurice left, a huge number of people were saying he was the problem, *screaming* for a new coach.
Well, as soon as he left, he took his new team to three consecutive SCFs, winning at least one of them, possibly two. It was absolutely irrefutable proof that he’s a Cup caliber coach, and he was not the issue with our group.
He also *left*. He literally jumped ship on this group, and went on to be wildly successful elsewhere, that just **screams** massive issues within our group. Was it *just* Wheeler? I mean, honestly, maybe. But even if that’s the case, it’s still frustrating as hell that our group couldn’t get it the fuck together for an incredible coach, and we lost him as a result.
So, happy as hell for him as a person, sucks that it’s Florida, but oh well.
Both. But I don’t understand why other owners aren’t pushing for a fair Cap space for all teams. Why would you want teams to have advantages to sign players?
No state tax and warm climate can attract good players! Can’t hate the guy for that! He did everything he possibly could have to help Winnipeg, unfortunately facts of life don’t lie!
I hope he writes his memoirs some day.
It’s gone to his head, trying to tell other coaches what to do. Otherwise, good for him.
Why would Paul Maurice not want to participate in the handshake line last night with the hurricanes and coach rod Brind’Amour?
Sad lol but I’m happy for him. He deserves it.
I’m not in love with how dirty his team plays. I’ve lost a lot of respect for him because of that.
Happy. Only because if he wins again this year, i’d like to think his comment about the Jets last year is still valid
A little bit of all three OP.
Happy for Paul to win, I don’t care about him going again. I don’t like Florida going again
Great coach. Shame he couldn’t pull it off in the PEG.
Happy for him, but cant stand the Panthers. So my feelings are mixed at best.
It’s too bad how he left here. Many don’t know the real reasons why. It’s because of the Jets management keeping things under wraps that he was even able to avoid “the program” and get right back behind the bench. It’s why he was so humble and appreciative after winning last year and shouting out Winnipeg. The players didn’t even know the truth about it all
Good for him, but I’ll be cheering for whoever comes out of the west in this cup final
Florida is also a lot better of a team to be fair.
I’m happy for him. I thought he was a great coach and I was sorry to see him leave Winnipeg even though I understood why he chose to exit.
Waiting for him give up on Florida too
Im Sas and Angry that Florida is there.
I do miss Paul and I always defended him while he was here.
Happy for Pomothe person, the fact he self ejected from our Jets mid season tough stretch and parachuted down to a cup ready team in Florida kind of ground my gears for a but but I think part of him feels bad about it and thats why he shouted us out but he also knows it was honestly the right move for the Jets.
