Want to say big shout out to the homies Ray from Ray Ray’s Cowboys Ray Ray’s podcast and the homie TP aka Terren Parsons Jr. aka Mr. Unwanted right from Unwanted Opinion. Today we’re going to be talking about all the stuff that we heard at OTAAS. We’re going to talk about some things that people honestly aren’t talking about enough that’s going on at OTAAS and just kind of get in the mix here, bro. We going to keep it real. Y’all know how we get when it’s all three of us. We going to keep it real. I promise I’mma let y’all boys talk today. Ain’t going to talk over you today. All right, chat. I hope he ain’t on a boat with his brother. Hey, that’s the last place Buddy need to be, ain’t it? Hey, he handed out that tussy. He handed out that tussy to the to them hussies. Hey, hey, that’s the last place he need to be. And and that’s a very astute observation, Ray. Astute observation. We don’t need him with Stefon this summer. Clearly, bro. Hey, Stefon winning right now. I got to say that he winning off. I don’t know if he winning. He might be winning in the short term. I don’t know how that’s going to work out for him long term, but uh TP man, where digs at, bro? Where Travon? I mean, I’m assuming he he training, trying to get back, you know. Um, OTAA is like I be trying to tell people like OTAAS is OTA is cool. Like I think um more team bonding than anything, but then you’re not getting no real work at OTAAS, man. Cut it out, man. Cut it out. Cut it out. They got Don Bland playing in the nickel right now. OTAAS. They got Jay Toya playing with the ones at OTAAS. They got new coaches, new installs. I know they got new coaches, new installs, new schemes, new personalities, new position group coaches. Bro, there is literally no reason no reason for Digs to be gone, bro. Team bonding. Yeah, that’s team bonding. And that’s more than team bonding though. He need to know what the hell going on. He got that playbook. He know going on, man. No, bro. Nah, bro. I can’t I can’t just trust Digzy like that. I can’t trust Diggy like that, bro. We his benefit of the doubt has run out as far as oh he he he he knows what’s going on. He he’ll do what’s right. I done seen that boy run away from too many tackles. I done seen him make too many business decisions. I done seen Trevon decisions though. Yeah. Business decisions. Best ability. Hey man. Hey man. There is no way in a year where literally 99% of your coaching staff is brand new. We’re in a year where you turned over half of your roster. There is no way that if you’re someone that’s supposed to be looked at as one of the pillars in this locker room, there’s no way you don’t get out there at least to touch the new guys. Pause. No, Diddy. There’s no way. There’s no way you going to get out there to at least be around Savone and Cir and them boys, bro. There’s no way. He might He might have been around the facility, though. We don’t know that. He might have been around the facility. I haven’t heard his name brought up by anybody. Like, I haven’t heard it brought up by Jerry. Ray, have you heard Ray? Have you heard Dig’s name be brought up by anybody, bro? No. Only only thing I ever heard about Diggs was his recovery and you know I was was it pre-draft or postdraft or Jerry Jones was saying that you know if he handled his recovery well he get on the field. That’s about the only thing I’ve heard about from Trayvon Diggs and that you know he’s moving along ahead of schedule a little bit but not too much. Not far as him being at OTAAS. No, I don’t I can’t say that I specifically heard that. Yeah, but you know what I mean? People be in and out the building all the time. You just never know. Can’t nobody explain anything. TP the apologist on the show. Go ahead TP. Go do your thing, bro. We need that, bro. We need it. We need I just know I just know how it is. I just know how it is. Some details that are kind of cropping up. It’s very interesting. We going to break down. But right now, we focusing on Digs, bro, because this is a bigger story than I feel like people are giving it the attention of. Now, we know he’s injured still. We know that he’s rehabbing right now on his own. We We get that. But it’s just strange that I feel I haven’t has Diggs been to the damn facility at all this whole season, bro. I haven’t seen Trevon Diggs in not one picture. I haven’t heard him brought up by nobody. I haven’t heard Shotti call his name out when he talking about guys. I haven’t heard Jerry bring up I have the only time Jerry brought up Digs was when he was criticizing how he handled his rehab. And then next thing we get is Trevon Digs dropping a documentary. And TP, we kind of had a conversation about this off off camera. You can say as much as you want to say on the camera, but the only thing we would have found out from his rehab is he liked to play a lot. That’s all we found out, bro. That’s how we done found. I’m sorry, bro. Hey, that rehab, that rehab, the way they’re editing it and putting it together is doing him a disservice because I’m sure he really put in a lot more work during his rehab recovery than what he did. But if you’re putting out a documentary to kind of prove the point that, hey, what my owner is saying isn’t true. Hey, what the trainers are saying isn’t true. Hey, the narrative about me isn’t true as far as my work ethic and how I’m handling my rehab. If you’re trying to do that, you’re trying to put a documentary out to do that, bro. The way he’s putting that documentary out right now is not hitting the spot. And and the fact that he got that going on, he’s putting out the documentary and stuff and it’s like, “Bro, I haven’t heard of you being at the Star at all this offse at all, bro. That’s not normal. That is not normal. Even when dudes are injured, they at least going in there for treatment, bro. That’s what I’m saying. That’s what I’m saying. Like I think for the I think he he got to be in and out the facility, bro. Cuz you still working with the team on your on your uh on your rehab and things like that. Like obviously you going to do rehab on your own, but you still do some things with the team, you know what I mean? So they updated on your progress, you know what I mean? Like it’s not like he just doing this [ __ ] all on his own. That’s what I’m saying. I think he really is. He got to be there on some type of level at some Yeah. some way, shape, or form. You know what I mean? It might not It might not be a lot. Might not be frequently, but he in there at least a little bit. You know, man, you hoping and guessing. Go ahead, Ray. No, it was like I just know like you know what I mean? You know what it should look like. You know what it should look like? Cuz I just know even even when they were talking about Micah wasn’t at OTA’s last year, he was still in and out the building. You know what I’m saying? But they also talked about him. But TP, they also talked about Micah being in and out the building last year, too. Like they they made it a point to be very clear like, “Hey, no, he’s not at OTAAS, but we’ve seen Micah. Micah’s been here all throughout the week. He’s been here. They have made that point, bro. Even this Even this year. Even this year. Shotti is saying Michael ain’t there. You said what? Digs is in the doghouse right now. Who in the dog? Oh, Digs. The fact that the fact that we’re talking about it right now, I’m letting you know that this is this is I’m I’m see I’m playing chess right now. I’m thinking like, I’m playing chess. You in you alienate the player in the media for these exact things. You know what I mean? You don’t talk about them. We don’t do any of that and then when it comes time to get rid of them, nobody’s going to have a problem with them. Yeah, that’s that’s what’s going on right now. Uh I see. Have y’all seen the star? Have y’all seen what the advertisements they got up at the Star as far as like the players that they’re advertising that they’re promoting? Have y’all seen that? It’s I think it was Dak. It was somebody else. And I think it was uh Don Bland. It wasn’t Trevon Diggs. They use Don Bland to represent the corners. Yeah, man. I see the vision, man. I see. And that’s a great great point TP. What you about to say though, Ray? No, I was going to say I feel like it has to been some type of form of communication between Diggs and the organization. Like I don’t if he’s somewhat of a professional, I don’t think he like ghosted the Cowboys or just and not communicated with them, right? I hope I hope they know what’s up. I mean, we don’t know. I really do too. I hope so, too, Ray. Yeah, it’s just it’s right now it’s just all speculation, but I feel like, you know, this is very important. you have a new defensive coordinator coming in. You got a new defensive backs coach. There’s got to be some type of communication because you got to learn what your DC wants to run with this new defense. So, yeah, even though if you’re not going to probably be back till like October, November, you still want to start learning the mental aspect. Get those mental reps in. Mhm. And and I get what you saying TP. I hear you, bro. I hear what you’re saying about, oh, he got the he got the playbook. He’s going to know. But it’s completely different just looking at the playbook and trying to articulate that mug by yourself versus having your coaches exactly tell you exactly what the purpose of the play is, what you trying to do, what you’re trying to accomplish, where you need the details. Bro, that playbook can’t spell out the details for you. Bro, that brings me that brings me to my other point. Now, if he does those same thing, if they do if they have some of those same things in place like uh the same way Micah was with Zimmer, you know what I mean? with at training camp uh watching that film early in the morning and he got Trayvon in there too. If they approach that that same that same way, I don’t have a problem with anything that’s going on over there. Okay. I mean, that’s fair that’s a fair opinion to have. I mean, we we’re not trying to get anybody to pitchfork digs. That’s not the purpose of this conversation. It’s just having a conversation about something I think is conversation worthy because quite frankly, no one has talked about and it’s weird to me. He’s he’s one of the bigger stars on the team and literally none of the beat reporters have asked about where he is, why he isn’t there. It’s on purpose. You think it’s on purpose and and that right there makes the most sense when you think about we got way too many great great beat reporters working in the DFW area to where nobody else would notice that. Nobody else would think it’s is it they need to ask a questions about Diggs. So, I think you may be on to something as far as everybody kind of may be in on the fact that, hey, Diggs is not going to be here after this next season, bro. And and I’ve been I’ve been saying that for months. I’ve been saying that for months. Diggs is not going to be here after this upcoming season. This is his last season as a Cowboy. And now you’re starting to hear beat reporters starting to say something like that now. Now you’re starting to hear guys like a like a Clarence Hill and, you know, some of the other guys from DLLs Sports, they’re they’re starting to have that conversation now. And you starting to hear people closer to the building and John Moda, people are close to the building are talking about like, hey, you know, Diggs maybe isn’t the the most liked guy in the building right now. You know what I’m saying? So, very very interesting that he’s not there. Very interesting that he’s been very very silent about this whole thing. And I think like you said TP uh when we get into mini camp like cuz I think that starts what? Mid June. When we get into mini camp and he’s not at mini camp cuz that’s mandatory, right? Yeah. He’ll be there. He he has to be there, right? And then we’ll also get a chance to finally see like how far along in his progress he is on his injury because that’s the other thing I don’t want to lose sight of is the young man is injured and TP brought this up towards the beginning of the show. He could just be working with his own guy. It could have been some prior communication that went on and he was like, “Hey, I’m going to be working with my guys. It’s cool.” They could have signed off on that. Who knows? Yeah. Who knows? But it is very strange that not a single conversation is happening about Trarevon Diggs. That’s so weird to me, bro. So weird to me. We’ve talked about DeMaron Overshone. We’ve talked about all these other guys. We talked about Sam. We’ve talked about Savone. All these guys is injured. The Donovan Wilson. And right now, we’ve heard that Demo will probably be back around Thanksgiving. Have we heard any type of timet at all about Diggs? D is pretty much on that same time table. That’s what I that’s what I say. I thought I heard he was going to be coming back around that, you know, late October, November type of run. Okay. Which if you see that schedule come back sooner than that. I think they both going to come back sooner than that. Yeah. But if you see that schedule towards that back half, we need them guys to get back and be ramped up. Not, you know, okay, got to get in conditioning out here trying to, you know, play. They got to be ready to play. And see, that’s that’s tough. That’s tough. And for that reason, I don’t think that Diggs is going to be able to come back and be himself enough to make himself valuable enough for this team to keep him next season. And I think that’s part of the reason why he’s gonna be gone, bro. I think that’s part of reason I don’t know. I don’t know yet. So you So you think he coming back next season? Yeah, I know he’s coming back next season. This up not this upcoming season. I’m talking about the season after 2025 season. You think Diggs is going to be I got it all depends like I on what? This season. Have you No, it don’t depend on just the results of the season. Have you actually looked at the Have you actually looked at their roster and their contracts and their trans and the I was about to say there was a point I was really about to bring up. That’s what I’m saying. That’s what I was literally about to get into. You got to tell Dion you have under contract. Yeah. His guaranteed money up after this year, but depending on how much money Don Ba is asking for, Diggs might be the cheaper option. I don’t know. Well, let’s take a look at this. I don’t think so. D. You’re going to have to have a odd man out in this situation. All right. There’s going to be an odd man out because there just so many people that has to get paid. We traded for GP. You don’t want to keep him only for one year. You got to pay GP. You got to pay to Ron Bland. Tyler Smith money is getting ready to come up. You got to figure out what you want to do with Sam Williams. You got to figure out what you do with Jake Ferguson. There’s too many questions. Brandon Aubrey. Yes. There’s too many guys are about need to get paid for this season. So, I don’t know. Yes, we know, you know, salary cap is going to go up again, but essentially they got to be thinking in their head, okay, if we have to move on from a position, what position do we want to move on from? And what player in that position group? Um, I’m not saying it’s Trayvon. No, I’m saying it’s Trayvon. I’m saying it’s Trayvon. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Let’s keep it a buck. Let’s keep it a buck. This is trying to break down TP, bro. If you actually look at the way that their salary is structured, look at the way their roster is structured, bro. There is no way in hell they can dedicate 30 to 40% of their salary cap to the corner position. So just based off of that, either Don Bland or Trevon Diggs will not be on the Cowboys after this upcoming season. And here’s the thing, Don Bland is younger and he’s healthier, bro. He’s going to be the one they keep, bro. Listen, and I think they like Don Bland’s temperament better, too. I think they like better. Yeah, but Trayvon Dig is under contract. You know what I mean? And they can get from under that contract very easily after this season. Bro, I know. That’s what I’m saying. All this guaranteed money gone. But what I’m saying is depending on how much money Don Bla wants, he gonna get it. Trayvon Digs may be the He gonna get it because I don’t think a team is going to bank on Trevon Diggs being their cornerback one or quarterback two for the next four or five season after two straight knee injuries in two straight seasons. I don’t think a team no team is going to do that, bro. Jerry already feels like he didn’t get his money worth on digs with that contract. That’s why Nah, he stole money for real. That’s why you mean but that’s here there. Um, who stole Jerry? Yeah. How’ Jerry steal money? Bro, listen. I’m not going to lie to you, bro. There’s a reason why from Digs. Not not actually like literally stole money. I know what you’re saying, but but what I’m saying is there’s a reason why Trayvon Diggs won, didn’t have to fight for it, why it happened so suddenly and not without a word. Yeah. There’s a reason. It was a great contract for them. Not for him, for them. You know what I’m saying? N it was a great contract for him, too, because he sub No. Yes, it was. Yes, it was. Cuz he subsequently ain’t did [ __ ] since he got paid and got and getting paid top corner money still. Yes, it was a great contract for him still. No. It it but it don’t it don’t matter. If was a fifth, we’d all be drunk, bro. If if was a fifth, we’d all be drunk. He The facts are he got big big boy money, top of the league corner money, and has not played top of the league corner time. So, he got a good contract. He got a great contract. He got he got and he got what? Three more years on the contract. Yeah, it it’s I think it’s like two I think it’s two or three. I think I think it’s like two in a void season or something. I think it’s like two in a void season or two. I think he got some void years in his contract because they restructured it already. They restructured it once. So, I think he got a void year. I’m saying like all I’m saying is I want to see him back on the field before I make any determinations on this. I feel you. I feel you. And all I’m saying is regardless what that man do on the field, all he going to do is either hurt or help his trade stock. That’s all that’s going to happen.
