But let’s get to this one between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Athletics. The Athletics sending out Gunnar Hogland for the start in this one. the Blue Jays. No starter confirmed at the time this video is being recorded. Now Hogan coming into this one, like I said, we do know it, at least it is slated to be him to get the start here. He’s coming in off of a decent outing against the Philadelphia Phillies. It was five innings, gave up three runs on four hits, only had two strikeouts a season low and, you know, three walks tied his season high. But he didn’t give up a home run. And that’s, you know, at least a step in the right direction. The problem for me though is that Hogland is now going back out on the road where he struggled against the Dodgers and he struggled he was sorry he had a decent start against the Miami Marlins, but he’s struggled with the home run ball. Four home runs of the six that Hogland has allowed in his five major league starts have come on the road. And now you go to Toronto to take on a Blue Jays lineup that you know has been inconsistent in terms of the offensive production in terms of the runs plated. But this is still a team that’s still a respectable two hitting 230 in the last two weeks against righties. You know, the team OPS numbers are decent. The isolated power numbers could stand to be better just outside the bottom 10, but they have a low strikeout rate at 16.9%. That’s actually the lowest in baseball over that twoe stretch. And a 10.8% walk rate is third highest. though with with Hogland struggling with control, I could see the Blue Jays being able to plate a couple of runs here and especially being able to go up against this this Athletics bullpen, which in the last week has been, you know, more than shaky. One of the highest bullpen eras in baseball over the last seven days, the Athletics a 6.14 staff erra. It’s fourth highest in baseball. To me, that’s problematic. You know, now the Blue Jays haven’t said who they’re starting here in terms of their starting pitcher. Could it be a bullpen game? Potentially, but you got an athletics team that just cannot buy a win even entering Friday’s action. They they just got absolutely throttled on Thursday. And the Blue Jays have a bullpen erra of 2.33 in the last seven days. So, for me, it’s just there’s an edge here for the Blue Jays in pitch in at least bullpen pitching. I think that Hogland’s probably going to be the the lesser of the two pitchers, whoever the Blue Jays send out here. And I just think the Blue Jays lineup can get to Gunnar Hogland. Maybe get a couple of home runs. Maybe look at a Daltton Bar Show home run or Vladimir Guerrero Jr. But I’m going to roll with the Blue Jays in this one.
