What needs to change for the Stars in Game 3?

Pete Dbor like his dear friend Paul Maurice chooses his words very carefully. It’s well established. I’m the president of the Pete Dbor fan club Saucus chapter when he says he liked his team’s game better in game two than in game one. You’ve been a head coach in this league. What’s your reaction? Well, they were down three nothing after the first two periods. Totally get outplayed in game one. So, they did a better job. Odder really kept them in the game. He’s trying to find their team’s five on five play. I mean that they’re trying to get their matchups at home. He’s probably hoping hoping when they go to Edmonton that the team gets focused and they do a better job on the road because they did a good job in Colorado. They won some big games there. And then I think Ranton’s going to stop ramping it up a little bit more here. He hasn’t really done much in the first two games here. He’s going to probably find some ice against his matchups on the road. I look at their lineup and if I looked at their first three lines including their fourth line I say heavy advantage Dallas it has to be but you haven’t seen the production why Johnson minus 15 in this series you’re knob block you talked about it we’re kind of talking off air knoblock’s looking for that matchup if I get D now he’s going to seek it to get out there there has to be more production and defensive awareness Johnson Ben Duchain Robertson if hint is if hint is available to play I I go down and you get it it’s been spotty from Sean and Brandon has carried the mail for a long time. You’re minus 6. You’ve been outscored 28 to 22 at five on five. You’ve you have relied on your power play. How do you get that offense driving getting forward? Where’s the You got to out hit 50 to 29 tonight. Doesn’t seem like much, but it’s the Oilers. You get got to get some meanness. You got to get some nastiness in you and you have to get production throughout your lineup. Let I didn’t believe we’d be saying this about the Dallas Stars and we are saying it about the Oilers. It’s flipped. How about on the topic of meanness that sequence Darnell Nurse the slash rupe hints your reaction? Yeah, it’s a hard slash on the knee and it just gets him in the wrong place. There is intention there and yeah, that’s a pretty hard swing. That’s a hard swing and if he’s out, it’s got to be evaluated by the league. There could be a game to it. He’s protecting his player and he wants to make sure the team understands that, hey, they took out our best player. We better be ready to play in Edmonton. Yeah, there there’s there’s malicious intent there. So, if you’re it’s going to go to player safety whether it’s a fine one game, it could fall along those lines. Definitely fine. The rupe hints health part of it as we said to start this discussion. So important. Yes, Dallas has proven the ability to play without key players, but that’s serious.

Peter DeBoer thought the Dallas Stars played better in Game 2 despite the losing result. NHL Tonight discusses what needs to change for the Stars as the series shifts to Edmonton.

  1. If Dallas got the no call hacks from LA's Kemper in the blue paint like the Oilers did…. They would probably melt down completely! LOL

  2. It should of been coincidental minors. Hintz for cross-checking, Nurse for slashing. Dallas clearly got off lucky and they're still bitching about it.

  3. Pete DeBoer obviously doesn't watch Oilers' games. If McD gets slashed and limps off, there'd probably no penalty and life would go on. The fact that Nurse got 2 was extremely generous to Dallas to give them a chance to get back in it.

  4. Flopper ruby Hintz .. one ha ded hack in the toe lol . Nurse Tok. Cross check this is playoff hockey gents. . as Evander Kane said put your big boy pants in !

  5. clearly knows nothing about hockey… There won't be any review, suspension or fine. It was a one handed slash as a retaliation to a crosscheck. Nurse no look slash might have got him in a non padded spot and he got a stinger. Happens 10 times a game. Intent? Yeah, he intended to hit him, just like Hintz intended to crosscheck. It's called FAFO. The slash would never have even happened if Hintz didn't give Nurse an unsuspecting cross check well behind the play. Dallas is known for embellishment. I could tell by the post game interviews that his teammates were not concerned, I guarantee you Dallas will milk this until puck drop and Hintz will be playing in Game 3.

  6. Groan… Malicious intent doesn't go for the shin pads. Drop a two hander on the wrist and I'll listen to your complaints – oh yeah, that was on Drai two years ago

  7. Weak backhand slash in retaliation for a cross-check. 2-minute minor. I'm sure it hurt in the moment, but odds are he's fine and will play in the game 3 matinee.

  8. Have these guys ever watched a hickey game? What are they talking about Heavy advantage to the dallas forward group, acting like Nurse shot a man. Come on guys, you have to actually watch the sport lmao
