  1. I've not heard anyone mention this but, I think it's quite possible Pete Deboer was ready to leave Dallas.
    A man who's been coaching in this league over a decade knows very well that you cannot disrespect your franchise goaltender on live TV like that, and keep your job. He absolutely knows that. There's no better way that I can think of, to get out of here with another year left on your contract than to show up your goalie on a national broadcast.

If you’re going established NHL coaches route Gallant, Hakstol, Laviolette, Woodcroft, Boudreau are probably best options with whose out there..out of the box coaches Texas Stars coach, Jeff Halprin, Mitch Love and obviously very last resort only because he for once wouldn’t have a team to rebuild and he might be more mellow is Torts but like I said very last resort for him 😂

  4. Jim Nill is class. People need to see that two things can be true: we can be thankful for the work Pete DeBoer has put in and wish him all the best while knowing that a change needed to be made. There is a lot of nonsense in Stars forums online right now as fans are having a go at Pete and that is not right. Jim sees how hard coaching is (and it is), I appreciate his calm decision making and how he appreciates his people in times like this. I hope he brings someone in who is progressive, we get outskated too much the moment we face a contending team. We also lose way to many duels all over the ice. Speed and physical presence. Line up the system to the players you have, I think that is where Pete fell short if we are being real critical and being critical is the key because we are one more round away from glory so we are working through fine margins here to take the final step.

  8. We are gunna have a worse coach then we have had there 0 doubt about that. Don't fire a coach if there are no better coaches on the market . What a joke. Kiss next season goodbye 👋 😅 more of season like with Rick bowness. Freaking embarrassing

  11. "Torts" is not coming to whip this team into shape. The team will get a young and up and coming coach, they certainly don't need a grizzled veteran to come in with an Iron hand to whip them into shape.
