on the screen for more information let’s find out if it’s right for you but let’s get to this one between the Nationals and the Texas Rangers the Nationals sending out Mitchell Parker for for this start while the uh Texas Rangers will send out Jacob Deg Grom and you know Deg Grom is pitching extremely well right now i mean there’s no sort of there’s sort of no sugar coating that i mean a 1.70 RA in his last seven starts 40 strikeouts to 10 walks you know he’s just pitching really really well a lot of quality starts over that stretch and I think he can have a decent enough start here against you know a Nationals team that has been up and down against left-handed pitching for the better part of the season in the last two weeks against lefties excuse me in the last two weeks against righties pardon me um you know they they’ve had decent numbers they’ve been able to put up some you know some decent batting averages and stuff hitting 254 low strikeout rate of 15.7% the isolated power numbers aren’t great and uh you know the Bab is bottom 10 but I think that’s why I’m kind of still hesitant to back the Rangers here because even if Deg Grom were to have a good start we’ve seen it time and time again where you know the Rangers offense is just so wildly inconsistent they find new and creative ways to lose all the time and I think that the Nationals could scratch off at least just a couple of runs here to be able to get to Deg Grom and get to this Texas bullpen because right now it feels like the magic number for the Texas Rangers is three if they hold teams down under three runs that three runs or less they have a chance to win the game but this team is is struggling to score and struggling to get to three runs far more often than not and I think that the Nationals can do that here like I said Deg Grom great strikeout numbers but again the Nationals in the last two weeks against righties a 15.7% strikeout rate which is the second lowest in baseball the batting average is all the team OPS numbers are top 10 the isolated power numbers are top 10 so I think the Nationals can do enough here on the other side you got Mitchell Parker who has been riding the struggle bus for much of the season there’s no there’s no hiding that but his numbers are far better at home at Nationals Park where he is here and the Rangers like I said not only is their offense inconsistent but in the last two weeks against lefties they’re hitting just 195 the team OPS numbers are bottom five in baseball the isolated power numbers are just outside the bottom five and they have a strikeout rate at 33.7% that is second highest in Major League Baseball over that twoe stretch so I think that there’s value here taking a shot on the Nationals plus one and a half maybe putting a little bit on Nationals money line as well like I said it is just so hard to and I get why you’re laying the big price with the Rangers because of Jacob Deg Grom but it is so hard to justify laying this kind of number with the uh with the uh the Texas Rangers in this spot so I’m going to roll with the Nationals plus one and a half and put a little bit on Nationals moneyline as well at
