Critical need: RHD2
Badly needed: veteran G
Wouldn’t at all be opposed: top 6 F/prefer LW
Would be nice to have: Bottom 6C that is right handed, 3rd pairing lockdown dman (LHD preferred since we still have Gudbranson but his contract is up next year if that needs to be taken into consideration)

As I understand it, we don’t have a single goalie on the AHL roster right now. Correct me if I’m wrong… But I’m very curious about the plan there. Because that means no call-up depth.
Presuming it’s going to be Elvis, Jet, and then some veteran backups.
They know they had a playoff capable team and one or two more games going our way in March-April was it. They should not have had to pull up Jet Greaves to get the wins they did have (but damn if he didn’t look spectacular doing his thing)
I think the major headline of his Sunday gathering was the desire to pursue a deal with Provorov. I think most us believed that he was 99% leaving, but sounds like that door is not closed
Here’s something we might consider: Remember when we sign Johnny and re-signed Laine that resulted having to ship Bjorkstrand to Seattle since he became a cap casualty? (Still heart broken about that) If Marner signs to elsewhere who needs to dump someone, we’ll be the Seattle in this time around. With that cap space, I think that is one why to obtain a Top 6 F or RHD.

I absolutely hate that I am bringing this up but does anyone else get the feeling that my Russian king Yegor Chinakhov will be an asset going the other way in any big trade. It feels like the org has soured on him a bit. Like he could be used to sweeten a deal to dump Elvis or maybe pair him and 20th overall together for the top 6 forward or a good RHD.
