Ok, so I have been pondering this and asking many of my friends.

I even asked the equivalent in r/Nbamemes

If you were given 100 offensive drives (see assumptions below), what would be your stat line?

Assumptions are as follows:

  • Only offence, no defence — you never play on the defensive side of the ball.
  • You are in your current physical shape, but fully rested — no muscle soreness/fatigue, full energy, fully stretched and warmed up.
  • Your fitness/energy resets every drive — you’re fresh for every new possession.
  • You can choose to play whatever offensive position you want — QB, RB, WR, TE, etc.
  • You are surrounded by 10 perfectly average NFL offensive players — average O-line, average WRs, average RBs, etc. Think composite Madden 75s across the board.
  • The defence you’re playing against is the exact same — made up of perfectly average NFL defenders.
  • Your coach is average, the playcalling is generic, and nothing is tailored to your unique strengths or weaknesses.
  • No special teams, just 100 full offensive drives starting at your own 25-yard line.
  • You can do anything you want on those 100 drives. Take snaps, run routes, whatever.
  • Home crowd advantage.
  • The defence is locked in and they're treating this like it’s the Super Bowl.

What would be your final stat line after 100 drives?

  1. 1 catch on the very last snap when everyone else is worn out but I still get refreshed for -10 yards and a life ending injury

  2. Assuming they keep giving me the ball?

I’m playing RB. Tell me what gap to run through. I probably get a couple yards if the O-line does well, I lose a couple if they don’t do well. Either way, I’m bear hugging the ball with both arms and hoping I don’t die when I get hit.

153 carries, 92 yards, 36 fumbles, 0 TDs, 14 injuries that are miraculously healed before the next drive (hopefully)

    24 targets, 1 catch, -2 yards, 0 TDs

An average coach would bench me by the second drive though
