Connor McDavid’s wife seemingly shades Florida Panthers: ‘Why is Alberta rat-free?’

For those unfamiliar, the rat has been an unofficial Panthers’ mascot for 30 years, and, more recently, the term has been one of the many less savoury monikers applied to the Panthers’ Brad Marchand, regarded by peers and critics as one of the antagonistic and bothersome players in the NHL. He picked it up early in his career when drawing comparisons to Ken “The Rat” Linesman, who played a similar style of hockey and famously bit the nose of Edmonton’s Lee Fogolin in 1984.
Opposing fans will insist the nickname also alludes to Marchand’s nose, which also inspired another early sobriquet: Nose Face Killah, a play on Ghost Face Killah, a member of the rap group Wu-Tang Clan.
Because it’s 2 flights that take a total of 10 hours to get there to end up in… Edmonton. Nah I’ll watch on TV.
If Florida played somewhere that wasn’t a location that had desirable weather, didn’t already have a massive contingency of Canadian ex-pats who live in the area, and tickets to get into the arena were as expensive as Edmonton, you’d see a lot less Oilers fans at games in Sunrise. Not to mention Oilers have a built in fan base as a legacy team + arguably the sports biggest star.
It’s a question with an answer that doesn’t require much thought.
Well, those rats embarrassed her husband yesterday, so I understand why she is upset. lol
Pathetic
28, millionaire. Married already? Shit I missed the boat. I’m 35.
Wait her name is Lauren Kyle? KYLE?
Who tf actually cares 😭 literally cannot muster any strength to give a fuck about this
Gonna be funny when Florida wraps this up with a 7-1 blowout Saturday in Edmonton
